| 1 | High-Resolution Genome-wide Association Study Identifies Genomic Regions and Candidate Genes for Important Agronomic Traits in Wheat显示文摘Wheat(Triticum aestivum)is a major staple food crop worldwide.Genetic dissection of important agronomic traits is essential for continuous improvement of wheat yield to meet the demand of the world's growing population.We conducted a large-scale genome-wide association study(GWAS)using a panel of 768 wheat cultivars that were genotyped with 327609 single-nucleotide polymorphisms generated by genotyping-by-sequencing and detected 395 quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for 12 traits under 7 environments.Among them,273 QTLs were delimited to≤1.0-Mb intervals and 7 of them are either known genes(Rht-D,Vrn-B1,and Vrn-D1)that have been cloned or known QTLs(TaGA2ox8,APO1,TaSus1-7B,and Rht12)that were previously mapped.Eight putative candidate genes were identified for three QTLs that enhance spike seed setting and grain size using gene expression data and were validated in three bi-parental populations.Protein sequence analysis identified 33 putative wheat orthologs that have high identity with rice genes in QTLs affecting similar traits.Large r^2 values for additive effects observed among the QTLs for most traits indicated that the phenotypes of these identified QTLs were highly predictable.Results from this study demonstrated that significantly increasing GWAS population size and marker density greatly improves detection and identification of candidate genes underlying a QTL,solidifying the foundation for large-scale QTL fine mapping,candidate gene validation,and developing functional markers for genomics-based breeding in wheat. | Yunlong Pang Chunxia Liu Danfeng Wang Paul St.Amand Amy Bernardo Wenhui Li Fang He Linzhi Li Liming Wang Xiufang Yuan Lei Dong Yu Su Huirui Zhang Meng Zhao Yunlong Liangi Hongze Jia Xitong Shen Yue Lu Hongming Jiang Yuye Wu Anfei Li Honggang Wang Lingrang Kong Guihua Bai Shubing Liu | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,9: | 8 |

| 17 | Highly in-plane anisotropic optical properties of fullerene monolayers显示文摘Both the intrinsic anisotropic optical materials and fullerene-assembled 2D materials have attracted much interest in fundamental science and potential applications.The synthesis of a monolayer(ML)fullerene makes the combination of these two features plausible.In this work,using first-principles calculations,we systematically study the electronic structure and optical properties of quasi-hexagonal phase(qHP)ML and quasi-tetragonal phase(qTP)ML fullerenes.The calculations of q HP ML show that it is a semiconductor with small anisotropic optical absorption,which agrees with the recent experimental measurements.However,the results for qTP ML reveal that it is a semimetal with highly in-plane anisotropic absorption.The dichroic ratio,namely the absorption ratio of x-and y-polarized lightα_(xx)/α_(yy),is around 12 at photon energy of 0.29 eV.This anisotropy is much more pronounced when the photon energy is between 0.7 and 1.4 eV,whereα_(xx)becomes nearly zero whileα_(yy)is more than two orders of magnitude larger.This indicates qTP ML as a candidate for long-pursuit lossless metal and a potential material for atomically thin polarizer.We hope this will stimulate further experimental eforts in the study of qTP ML and other fullerene-assembled 2D materials. | Danwen Yuan Hanqi Pi Yi Jiang Yuefang Hu Liqin Zhou Yujin Jia Gang Su Zhong Fang Hongming Weng Xinguo Ren Wei Zhang | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,4: | 0 |

| 19 | Large Spin Hall Conductivity and Excellent Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Activity in Unconventional PtTe1.75 Monolayer显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)materials have gained lots of attention due to the potential applications.In this work,we propose that based on first-principles calculations,the(2×2)patterned PtTe_(2)monolayer with kagome lattice formed by the well-ordered Te vacancy(PtTe_(1.75))hosts large and tunable spin Hall conductivity(SHC)and excellent hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)activity.The unconventional nature relies on the A1@1b band representation of the highest valence band without spin–orbit coupling(SOC).The large SHC comes from the Rashba SOC in the noncentrosymmetric structure induced by the Te vacancy.Even though it has a metallic SOC band structure,theℤ_(2)invariant is well defined because of the existence of the direct bandgap and is computed to be nontrivial.The calculated SHC is as large as 1.25×10^(3)h/e(Ωcm)^(−1)at the Fermi level(EF).By tuning the chemical potential from EF−0.3 to EF+0.3 eV,it varies rapidly and monotonically from−1.2×10^(3)to 3.1×10^(3)h/e(Ωcm)^(−1)In addition,we also find that the Te vacancy in the patterned monolayer can induce excellent HER activity.Our results not only offer a new idea to search 2D materials with large SHC,i.e.,by introducing inversion–symmetry breaking vacancies in large SOC systems,but also provide a feasible system with tunable SHC(by applying gate voltage)and excellent HER activity. | Dexi Shao Junze Deng Haohao Sheng Ruihan Zhang Hongming Weng Zhong Fang Xing-Qiu Chen Yan Sun Zhijun Wang | 2023 | Research2023,,3: | 0 |
