2Hybrid-integrated high-performance microwave photonic filter with switchable response显示文摘The integrated microwave photonic filter(MPF),as a compelling candidate for next-generation radio-frequency(RF)applications,has been widely investigated for decades.However,most integrated MPFs reported thus far have merely incorporated passive photonic components onto a chip-scale platform,while all necessary active devices are still bulk and discrete.Though few attempts to higher photonic integration of MPFs have been executed,the achieved filtering performances are fairly limited,which impedes the pathway to practical deployments.Here,we demonstrate,for the first time to our knowledge,an all-integrated MPF combined with high filtering performances,through hybrid integration of an In P chip-based laser and a monolithic silicon photonic circuit consisting of a dual-drive Mach–Zehnder modulator,a high-Q ring resonator,and a photodetector.This integrated MPF exhibits a high spectral resolution as narrow as 360 MHz,a wide-frequency tunable range covering the S-band to K-band(3 to 25 GHz),and a large rejection ratio of>40 d B.Moreover,the filtering response can be agilely switched between the bandpass and band-stop function with a transient respond time(48μs).Compared with previous MPFs in a similar integration level,the obtained spectral resolution in this work is dramatically improved by nearly one order of magnitude,while the valid frequency tunable range is broadened more than twice,which can satisfy the essential filtering requirements in actual RF systems.As a paradigm demonstration oriented to real-world scenarios,high-resolution RF filtering of realistic microwave signals aiming for interference rejection and channel selection is performed.Our work points out a feasible route to a miniaturized,high-performance,and cost-effective MPF leveraging hybrid integration approach,thus enabling a range of RF applications from wireless communication to radar toward the higher-frequency region,more compact size,and lower power consumption.YUANSHENG TAO HAOWEN SHU XINGJUN WANG MING JIN ZIHAN TAO FENGHE YANG JINGBO SHI JUN QIN 2021Photonics Research2021,9,8:2
3A real-size MRPC developed for CBM-TOF显示文摘An MRPC prototype for the future CBM-TOF inner area has been developed.The counter assembled with low resistive glass consists of 10×0.22 mm gas gaps and 2×8 readout pads.The size of each pad is 20 mm×20 mm with an interval of 2 mm between pads.The signals of the counter are collected by 4 eight-pin connectors.Preliminary tests performed with cosmic-rays showed an efficiency over 98%and a time resolution around 60 ps.The measured crosstalk,dark current and dark rate were at a very low levels.Results under uniform irradiation performed at JINR with high energy deuteron showed a time resolution of40–50 ps and over 98%efficiency at a low flux rate,meanwhile at a flux up to 70 kHz/cm2,93%efficiency and 77 ps time resolution still remained.These excellent performances call fully meet the demand of CBM-TOF inner wall.ZHU WeiPing WANG Yi FENG ShengQin WANG JingBo HUANG XinJie SHI Li BABKIN V. 6Deep learning model improves radiologists'performance in detection and classification of breast lesions显示文摘Objective:Computer-aided diagnosis using deep learning algorithms has been initially applied in the field of mammography,but there is no large-scale clinical application.Methods:This study proposed to develop and verify an artificial intelligence model based on mammography.Firstly,mammograms retrospectively collected from six centers were randomized to a training dataset and a validation dataset for establishing the model.Secondly,the model was tested by comparing 12 radiologists’performance with and without it.Finally,prospectively enrolled women with mammograms from six centers were diagnosed by radiologists with the model.The detection and diagnostic capabilities were evaluated using the freeresponse receiver operating characteristic(FROC)curve and ROC curve.Results:The sensitivity of model for detecting lesions after matching was 0.908 for false positive rate of 0.25 in unilateral images.The area under ROC curve(AUC)to distinguish the benign lesions from malignant lesions was0.855[95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.830,0.880].The performance of 12 radiologists with the model was higher than that of radiologists alone(AUC:0.852 vs.0.805,P=0.005).The mean reading time of with the model was shorter than that of reading alone(80.18 s vs.62.28 s,P=0.032).In prospective application,the sensitivity of detection reached 0.887 at false positive rate of 0.25;the AUC of radiologists with the model was 0.983(95%CI:0.978,0.988),with sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value(PPV),and negative predictive value(NPV)of94.36%,98.07%,87.76%,and 99.09%,respectively.Conclusions:The artificial intelligence model exhibits high accuracy for detecting and diagnosing breast lesions,improves diagnostic accuracy and saves time.Yingshi Sun Yuhong Qu Dong Wang Yi Li Lin Ye Jingbo Du Bing Xu Baoqing Li Xiaoting Li Kexin Zhang Yanjie Shi Ruijia Sun Yichuan Wang Rong Long Dengbo Chen Haijiao Li Liwei Wang Min Cao 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,6:1
7Ultrafast growth of high-quality large-sized GaSe crystals by liquid metal promoter显示文摘Growth of high-quality large-sized crystals using the traditional chemical vapor transport(CVT)or vertical Bridgman(VB)technique is costly and time-consuming,limiting its practical industrial application.Here,we propose an ultrafast crystal growth process with low energy consumption and capability of producing crystals of excellent quality,and demonstrate that large-sized GaSe crystals with a lateral size of 0.5 to 1 cm can be obtained within a short period of 5 min.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM)studies clearly indicate that the as-grown crystals have a good crystallinity.To further show the potential application of the resulting GaSe crystals,we fabricate the few-layer GaSe-based photodetector,which exhibits low dark current of 21 pA and fast response of 34 ms under 405 nm illumination.Our proposed technique for rapid crystal growth could be further extended to other metallenes with low-melting point,such as Bi-,Sn-,In-,Pb-based crystals,opening up a new avenue in fulfilling diverse potential optoelectronics applications of two-dimensional(2D)crystals.Zuxin Chen Quan Chen Zebing Chai Bin Wei Jun Wang Yanping Liu Yumeng Shi Zhongchang Wang Jingbo Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:1
8Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 10Lithium-storage properties of SiO_(2)nanotubes@C using carbon nanotubes as templates显示文摘Silica-based anode material is the most concerned material at present,which has the advantages of good cycle stability,high theoretical specific capacity and abundant reserves.However,silica suffers from inherent low conductivity,severe volume expansion effect and low initial coulombic efficiency,which limits its application in lithium-ion batteries.Nanotubes structure can mitigate the volume expansion during lithiation/delithiation.In this article,silica nanotubes(SNTs)were prepared using carbon nanotubes(CNTs)as a template,and then the uniform carbon layer was coated on their surface by carbonization of citric acid.The hollow structure of nanotubes provides more sites for the insertion of Li+during lithiation and additional channels for Li+migration in the cycles,which improves the electrochemical performance.Conductivity can be enhanced by coating carbon layer.The specific capacity of the composite material is about 650 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1)after 100 cycles.With a specific capacity of 400 mAh g^(-1)even at 1 A g^(-1)after 100 cycles.The silica-based material is a competitive anode material for lithium-ion batteries.Zixu Shi Chaoyun Shi Huili Shi Binfang He Guoqiang Qin Ao Li Jing Zhu Jingbo Chen 2023Particuology2023,,12:0
