Archean-Paleoproterozoic Lithospheric Mantle at the Northern Margin of the North China Craton Represented by Tectonically Exhumed Peridotites显示文摘Tectonically emplaced peridotites from North Hebei Province, North China Craton, have retained an original harzburgite mineral assemblage of olivine(54%–58%) + orthopyroxene(40%–46%)+minor clinopyroxene(<1%)+spinel. Samples with boninite-like chemical compositions also coexist with these peridotites. The spinels within the peridotites have high-Al end-members with Al_2O_3 content of 30 wt % –50 wt %, typical of mantle spinels. When compared with experimentally determined melt extraction trajectories, the harzburgites display a high degree of melting and enrichment of SiO_2, which is typical of cratonic mantle peridotites. The peridotites display variably enriched light rare earth elements(REEs), relatively depleted middle REEs and weakly fractionated heavy REEs, which suggest a melt extraction of over 25% in the spinel stability field. The occurrence of arc-and SSZ-type chromian spinels in the peridotites suggests that melt extraction and metasomatism occurred mostly in a subduction-related setting. This is also supported by the geochemical data of the coexisting boninite-like samples. The peridotites have ^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratios ranging from 0.113–0.122, which is typical of cratonic lithospheric mantle. These ^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratios yield model melt extraction ages(TRD) ranging from 981 Ma to 2054 Ma, which may represent the minimum estimation of the melt extraction age. The Al_2O_3-^(187)Os/^(188)Os-proxy isochron ages of 2.4 Ga–2.7 Ga suggest a mantle melt depletion age between the Late Achaean and Early Paleoproterozoic. Both the peridotites and boninite-like rocks are therefore interpreted as tectonically exhumed continental lithospheric mantle of the North China Craton, which has experienced mantle melt depletion and subduction-related mantle metasomatism during the Neoarchean-Paleoproterozoic.TIAN Wei WANG Shuangyue LIU Fenglin CHU Zhuyin WANG Bin CHEN Mimi Jennifer PRICHARD 2017Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,6:5
Fe-N-C catalysts for PEMFC: Progress towards the commercial application under DOE reference显示文摘Proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFC)have attracted much attention because of their high energy conversion efficiency, high power density and zero emission of pollutants. However, the high cost of the cathode platinum group metal(PGM)catalysts creates a barrier for the large-scale application of PEMFC.Tremendous efforts have been devoted to the development of low-cost PGM-free catalysts, especially the Fe-N-C catalysts,to replace the expensive PGM catalysts. However, the characterization methods and evaluation standards of the catalysts varies, which is not conducive to the comparison of PGM-free catalysts.U.S.Department of energy(DOE)is the only authority that specifies the testing standards and activity targets for PGM-free catalysts. In this review, the major breakthroughs of Fe-N-C catalysts are outlined with the reference of DOE standards and targets. The preparation and characteristics of these highly active Fe-N-C catalysts are briefly introduced. Moreover, the efforts on improving the mass transfer and the durability issue of Fe-N-C fuel cell are discussed. Finally, the prospective directions concerning the comprehensive evaluation of the Fe-N-C catalysts are proposed.Lina Wang Xin Wan Shuangyu Liu Li Xu Jianglan Shui 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,12:5
Synergy between metallic components of MoNi alloy for catalyzing highly efficient hydrogen storage of MgH2显示文摘Catalysts play a critical role in improving the hydrogen storage kinetics in Mg/MgH2 system.Exploring highly efficient catalysts and catalyst design principles are hot topics but challenging. The catalytic activity of metallic elements on dehydrogenation kinetics generally follows a sequence of Ti>Nb>Ni>V>Co>Mo.Herein,we report a highly efficient alloy catalyst composed of low-active elements of Mo and Ni(i.e.MoNi alloy)for MgH2 particles.MoNi alloy nanoparticles show excellent catalytic effect, even outperforming most advanced Ti-based catalysts. The synergy between Mo and Ni elements can promote the break of Mg-H bonds and the dissociation of hydrogen molecules, thus significantly improves the kinetics of Mg/MgH2 system. The MoNi-catalyzed Mg/MgH2 system can absorb and release 6.7 wt.%hydrogen within 60 s and 10 min at 300℃,respectively,and exhibits excellent cycling stability and low-temperature hydrogen storage performance. This study provides a strategy for designing efficient catalysts for hydrogen storage materials using the synergy of metal elements.Meng Chen Yanhui Pu Zhenyang Li Gang Huang Xiaofang Liu Yao Lu Wukui Tang Li Xu Shuangyu Liu Ronghai Yu Jianglan Shui 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:5
One-pot In-situ Synthesis of Sn/Carbon-fibers Nanocomposite by Chemical Vapor Deposition and Its Li-storage Properties显示文摘Sn/carbon-fibers(CFs) nanocomposite has been prepared by chemical vapor deposition with in-situ catalytic growth of CFs.The nanocomposite has been characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and Raman spectrum. The electrochemical performance of the nanocomposite has been investigated by galvanostatic cycling and cyclic voltammetry(CV).It has been found that a three-dimensional conductive network forms by the interconnected CFs,which offers conductive channels for the Sn nanoparticles. The nanocomposite gives a first charge capacity of 385 mAh.g-1 and exhibits an improved cycling stability than bare Sn.J.Xie Yunxiao Zheng Shuangyu Liu Gaoshao Cao Xinbing Zhao 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,3:3
Adaptive immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection in severe versus mild individuals显示文摘The global Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has affected more than eight million people. There is an urgent need to investigate how the adaptive immunity is established in COVID-19 patients. In this study,we proled adaptive immune cells of PBMCs from recovered COVID-19 patients with varying disease severity using single-cell RNA and TCR/BCR V(D)J sequencing. The sequencing data revealed SARS-CoV-2-specic shufing of adaptive immune repertories and COVID-19-induced remodeling of peripheral lymphocytes.Characterization of variations in the peripheral T and B cells from the COVID-19 patients revealed a positive correlation of humoral immune response and T-cell immune memory with disease severity.Sequencing and functional data revealed SARS-CoV-2-specic T-cell immune memory in the convalescent COVID-19 patients.Furthermore,we also identied novel antigens that are responsive in the convalescent patients.Altogether, our study reveals adaptive immune repertories underlying pathogenesis and recovery in severe versus mild COVID-19 patients, providing valuable information for potential vaccine and therapeutic development against SARS-CoV-2 infection.Fan Zhang Rui Gan Ziqi Zhen Xiaoli Hu Xiang Li Fengxia Zhou Ying Liu Chuangeng Chen Shuangyu Xie Bailing Zhang Xiaoke Wu Zhiwei Huang 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:3
Facile Synthesis of NiFe_2O_4/Reduced Graphene Oxide Hybrid with Enhanced Electrochemical Lithium Storage Performance显示文摘In this work, a facile, one-pot route has been applied to synthesize nanohybrids based on mixed oxide Ni Fe2O4 and reduced graphene oxide(r GO). The hybrid is constructed by nanosized Ni Fe2O4 crystals confined by fewlayered r GO sheets. The formation mechanism and microstructure of the hybrids have been clarified by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy.Electrochemical tests show that the performance of Ni Fe2O4 can be considerably improved by r GO incorporation. The performance improvement can be attributed to the two-dimensional conductive channels and the unique hybrid structure r GO constructed. The easy synthesis and good electrochemical performance of Ni Fe2O4/r GO hybrid make it a promising anode material for Li-ion batteries.Peiyi Zhu Shuangyu Liu Jian Xie Shichao Zhang Gaoshao Cao Xinbing Zhao 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,11:2
Mechanism of alpha-lipoic acid in attenuating kanamycin-induced ototoxicity显示文摘In view of the theory that alpha-lipoic acid effectively prevents cochlear cells from injury caused by various factors such as cisplatin and noise, this study examined whether alpha-lipoic acid can prevent kanamycin-induced ototoxicity. To this end, healthy BALB/c mice were injected subcutaneously with alpha-lipoic acid and kanamycin for 14 days. Auditory brainstem response test showed that increased auditory brainstem response threshold shifts caused by kanamycin were significantly inhibited. Immunohistochemical staining and western blot analysis showed that the expression of phosphorylated p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase and phosphorylated c-Jun N-terminal kinase in mouse cochlea was significantly decreased. The experimental findings suggest that phosphorylated p38 and phosphorylated c-Jun N-terminal kinase mediated kanamycin-induced ototoxic injury in BALB/c mice. Alpha-lipoic acid effectively attenuated kanamycin ototoxicity by inhibiting the kanamycin-induced high expression of phosphorylated p38 and phosphorylated c-Jun N-terminal kinase.Aimei Wang Ning Hou Dongyan Bao Shuangyue Liu Tao Xu 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,35:2
The Class Ⅲ peroxidase gene OsPrx30,transcriptionally modulated by the AT-hook protein OsATH1, mediates rice bacterial blight-induced ROS accumulation显示文摘Class Ⅲ peroxidases(CⅢ Prxs) play critical roles in plant immunity by scavenging reactive oxygen species(ROS). However, the functions of CⅢ Prxs in rice(Oryza sativa L.) immunity are largely unexplored. Here, we report a Prx precursor, OsPrx30,that is responsive to the bacterial blight Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae(Xoo). OsPrx30 was primarily expressed in rice roots, leaves, and stems, and its protein product was mainly localized at the endoplasmic reticulum. Overexpression of OsPrx30 enhanced the plant’s susceptibility to Xoo by maintaining a high level of peroxidase(POD) activity and reducing the content of H2O2, whereas depletion of OsPrx30 had the opposite effects. Furthermore, we identified an AT-hook transcription factor, Os ATH1, that is specifically bound to the OsPrx30 promoter. As observed in plants overexpressing OsPrx30, depletion of Os ATH1 enhanced susceptibility to Xoo. Finally, we demonstrated that depletion of Os ATH1 increased histone H3 acetylation at the AT-rich region of the OsPrx30 promoter.Taken together, these results reveal a mechanism underlying the POD-induced natural resistance to bacterial diseases and suggest a model for transcription regulation of Prx genes in rice.Hao Liu Shuangyu Dong Ming Li Fengwei Gu Guili Yang Tao Guo Zhiqiang Chen Jiafeng Wang 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,2:2
Emission factors of particulate matter, CO and CO_2 in the pyrolytic processing of typical electronic wastes显示文摘A self-designed experimental device was employed to simulate the pyrolytic dismantling process of selected electronic wastes(E-wastes), including printed wiring boards(PWBs)and plastic casings. The generated particulate matter(PM) of different particle sizes, carbon monoxide(CO) and carbon dioxide(CO_2) were determined, and the corresponding emission factors(EFs) were estimated. Finer particles with particle sizes of 0.4–2.1 μm accounted for78.9% and 89.3% of PM emitted by the pyrolytic processing of PWBs and plastic casings, respectively, and the corresponding EFs were 9.68 ± 4.81 and 18.49 ± 7.2 g/kg, respectively. The EFs of CO and CO_2 from PWBs and plastic casings were 55.9 ± 26.9 and 1182 ± 439 g/kg,and 133.6 ± 34.6 and 2827 ± 276 g/kg, respectively. Compared with other emission sources, such as coal, biomass, and traffic exhaust, the EFs of E-wastes were relatively higher, especially for PM. There were significant positive correlations(p < 0.05) of the initial contents of carbon and nitrogen in PWBs with the related EFs of PM, CO, and CO_2, while the correlations for plastic casings were insignificant. The EFs of CO of PWBs were significantly positively correlated with the corresponding EFs of PM and the parent polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs); however, the same result was not observed for plastic casings.Liyuan Chen Chuanyang Cai Shuangyu Yu Yu Liu Shu Tao Wenxin Liu 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,7:2

Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.Angel Abusleme Thomas Adam Shakeel Ahmad Sebastiano Aiello Muhammad Akram Nawab Ali Fengpeng An Guangpeng An Qi An Giuseppe Andronico Nikolay Anfimov Vito Antonelli Tatiana Antoshkina Burin
