3Intrinsic apoptotic pathway and G2/M cell cycle arrest involved in tubeimoside I-induced EC109 cell death显示文摘Objective: Squamous esophageal carcinoma is highly prevalent in developing countries, especially in China. Tu Bei Mu (TBM), a traditional folk medicine, has been used to treat esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) for a long term. tubeimoside I (TBMS1) is the main component of TBM, exhibiting great anticancer potential. In this study, we investigated the mechanism of TBMS1 cytotoxic effect on EC109 cells. Methods: Comparative nuclear proteomic approach was applied in the current study and we identified several altered protein spots. Further biochemical studies were carried out to detect the mitochondrial membrane potential, cell cycle and corresponding proteins' expression and location. Results: Subcellular proteomic study in the nucleus from EC109 cells revealed that altered proteins were associated with mitochondrial function and cell proliferation. Further biochemical studies showed that TBMS1-induced molecular events were related to mitochondria-induced intrinsic apoptosis and P21-cyclin B1/cdc2 complex-related G2/M cell cycle arrest. 4Direct generation of an ultrafast vortex beam in a CVD-graphene-based passively mode-locked Pr:LiYF4 visible laser显示文摘We report on the direct generation of passively mode-locked vortex lasers in the visible spectral region, for the first time to the best of our knowledge, using a Pr :Li YF4(Pr:YLF) crystal as the gain medium. A stable mode-locked TEM00 mode has been achieved with a maximum average output power of 75 m W using a graphene saturable absorber mirror. The mode-locked pulse width is measured to be as short as about 73.4 ps at a repetition rate of about 140 MHz, and the laser wavelength is at about 721 nm with spectral width of about 0.5 nm. By slightly misaligning the laser resonator, a first-order Laguerre-Gaussian mode(LG0,1) has also been obtained with output power reduced to about 22 m W. The achieved LG0,1 mode has been verified via a home made improved Fizeau interferometer. 5Bronchial artery embolization for hemoptysis:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:To assess the safety and efficacy of bronchial artery embolization(BAE)for hemoptysis.Methods and materials:Databases with articles published in English,including Pubmed,Embase,Web of science and Chochrane library,were comprehensively searched to get accurate,up-to-date and sufficient literature about BAE for hemoptysis until March 2020.The technical success rates,immediate control rates,recurrence rates,mortality rates,and total complication rates(minor and major complication rates)extracted from the articles were pooled to estimate and assess the efficacy and safety of BAE using random-effect and fixed-effect models.Results:21 articles published between 2008 and 2019,which include a total of 2511 patients,were studied to evaluate the safety and efficacy of BAE.The technical success and immediate control rates are 99.9%(95%CI:99%-100%)and 99.5%(95%CI:97.8%-99.2%),respectively.This study showed hemoptysis recurrence in 23.7%(95%CI:18.5%-28.9%)with a mortality rate of 2%(95%CI:0-3%).Additionally,the assessment of complications revealed a total complication rate of 13.4%(95%CI:7.6-19.2%),in which 0.2%(95%CI:0.2-0.4%)were major complications and 10%(95%CI:4.7-9.6%)were minor complications.Conclusion:BAE is an effective,safe,and feasible procedure with a low complication rate for hemoptysis patients.However,recurrence of hemoptysis is still at high risk after BAE due to different underlying diseases.Zhiyuan Zheng Zhiquan Zhuang Minjie Yang Jianjun Luo Wen Zhang Zhiping Yan Xiaolin Wang 2021Journal of Interventional Medicine2021,4,4:7
6Self-Q-switched and wavelength-tunable tungsten disulfide-based passively Q-switched Er:Y2O3 ceramic lasers显示文摘We report on diode-pumped Er:Y_2O_3 ceramic lasers at about 2.7 μm in the tunable continuous-wave, selfQ-switching and tungsten disulfide(WS2)-based passively Q-switching regimes. For stable self-Q-switched operation, the maximum output power reaches 106.6 m W under an absorbed power of 2.71 W. The shortest pulse width is measured to be about 1.39 μs at a repetition rate of 26.7 kHz at maximum output. Using a spin-coated WS2 as a saturable absorber, a passively Q-switched Er:Y_2O_3 ceramic laser is also realized with a maximum average output power of 233.5 m W(for the first time, to the best of our knowledge). The shortest pulse width decreases to 0.72 μs at a corresponding repetition rate of 29.4 kHz, which leads to a pulse energy of 7.92 μJ and a peak power of 11.0 W. 8Mid‐infrared all‐fiber gain‐switched pulsed laser at 3μm显示文摘Mid-infrared(MIR)fiber pulsed lasers are of tremendous application interest in eye-safe LIDAR,spectroscopy,chemical detection and medicine.So far,these MIR lasers largely required bulk optical elements,complex free-space light alignment and large footprint,precluding compact all-fiber structure.Here,we proposed and demonstrated an all-fiberized structured gain-switched Ho3+-doped ZBLAN fiber laser operating around 2.9μm.A home-made 1146 nm Raman fiber pulsed laser was utilized to pump highly concentrated single-cladding Ho3+-doped ZBLAN fiber with different lengths of 2 m or 0.25 m.A home-made MIR fiber mirror and a perpendicular-polished ZBLAN fiber end construct the all-fiberized MIR cavity.Stable gain-switched multiple states with a sub-pulse number tuned from 1 to 8 were observed.The effects of gain fiber length,pump power,pump repetition rate and output coupling ratio on performance of gain-switched pulses were further investigated in detail.The shortest pulse duration of 283 ns was attained with 10 kHz repetition rate.The pulsed laser,centered at 2.92μm,had a maximum average output power of 54.2 mW and a slope efficiency of 10.12%.It is,to the best of our knowledge,the first time to demonstrate a mid-infrared gain-switched Ho3+:ZBLAN fiber laser with compact all-fiber structure.Xiaojin Zhang Weiwei Li Jin Li Huiying Xu Zhiping Cai Zhengqian Luo 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,5:4
9Crystalline phase of Y_2O_3 :Eu particles generated in a substrate-free flame process显示文摘In this study, factors affecting the crystal structure of flame-synthesized Y 2 O 3 :Eu particles were inves- tigated, especially the particle size effect and its interaction with Eu doping concentration. Polydisperse Y 2 O 3 :Eu (size range 200 nm to 3 m) powder samples with Eu doping concentrations from 2.5 mol% to 25 mol% were generated in either H 2 /air or H 2 /O 2 substrate-free flames. The crystal structure of the powder samples was determined by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), which was complemented by pho- toluminescence (PL) measurements. Single particle crystal structure was determined by single particle selected area electron diffraction (SAED), and for the first time, by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). H 2 /air flames resulted in cubic phase Y 2 O 3 :Eu particles with hollow morphology and irregular shapes. Particles from H 2 /O 2 flames had dense and spherical morphology; samples with lower Eu doping concen- trations had mixed cubic/monoclinic phases; samples with the highest Eu doping concentrations were phase-pure monoclinic. For samples generated from H 2 /O 2 flames, a particle size effect and its interaction with Eu doping concentration were found: particles smaller than a critical diameter had the monoclinic phase, and this critical diameter increased with increasing Eu doping concentration. These findings sug- gest that the formation of monoclinic Y 2 O 3 :Eu is inevitable when extremely hot substrate-free flames are used, because typical flame-synthesized Y 2 O 3 :Eu particle sizes are well below the critical diameter. 11High-temperature phase transition behavior and magnetocaloric effect in a sub-rapidly solidified La–Fe–Si plate produced by centrifugal casting显示文摘A sub-rapidly solidified La Fe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)plate was fabricated directly from liquid by centrifugal casting method.The phase constitution,microstructure and magnetocaloric effect were investigated using backscatter scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,differential scanning calorimetry and physical property measurement system.When the plate was annealed at 1373 K,1 phase was formed by a solid-state peritectoid reaction.A first-order magnetic phase transition occurred in the vicinity of188 K,and the effective refrigeration capacities reached 203.5 J/kg and 209.7 J/kg in plates annealed for1 h and 3 h,respectively,under a magnetic field change of 3 T.It is suggested that centrifugal casting may become a new approach to prepare high-performance La–Fe–Si magnetocaloric plates for practical applications,which could largely accelerate the formation of 1 phase during high-temperature heat-treatment process due to refined and homogeneous honeycombed microstructure.Zhishuai Xu Yuting Dai Yue Fang Zhiping Luo Ke Han Changjiang Song Qijie Zhai Hongxing Zheng 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,8:4
12Mn–Co–Ni–O thin films prepared by sputtering with alloy target显示文摘The thin film of heat-sensitive materials has been widely concerned with the current trend of miniaturization and integration of sensors.In this work,Mn1.56 Co0.96 Ni0.48 O4(MCNO)thin films were prepared on Si O2/Si substrates by sputtering with Mn–Co–Ni alloy target and then annealing in air at different temperatures(650–900℃).The X-ray diffraction(XRD)and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)analysis indicated that the main crystalline phase of MCNO thin films was spinel crystal structure;the surface of the thin films was very dense and uniform.The electrical properties of the thin films were studied in the temperature range of–5–50℃.The MCNO thin film with a low room temperature resistance R25 of 71.1 kΩand a high thermosensitive constant B value of 3305 K was obtained at 750℃.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis showed that the concentration of Mn3+and Mn4+cations in MCNO thin films is the highest when annealing temperature is 750℃.The complex impedance analysis revealed internal conduction mechanism of the MCNO thin film and the resistance of the thin film was dominated by grain boundary resistance.Ruifeng LI Qiuyun FU Xiaohua ZOU Zhiping ZHENG Wei LUO Liang YAN 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,1:3
13Exceptional co-catalyst free photocatalytic activities of B and Fe co-doped SrTiO3 for CO2 conversion and H2 evolution显示文摘CO2 should be converted into chemical-fuels,and to reduce H2O to H2 over SrTiO3 (STO) owing to its negative conduction band position vs.NHE.Herein a novel B and Fe co-doped SrTiO3 (B,F-STO) photocatalyst was successfully fabricated via a single-step sol-hydrothermal process.Various experiments confirmed that B and Fe are effectively doped into the STO matrix.Boron substituted oxygen anions,while Fe substituted Ti cations.UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectra (UV-vis DRS) and valence-band X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) spectra confirmed that the band gap of STO significantly reduced from 3.4 to 1.9 eV upon co-doping with B and Fe.Hence,the B,F-STO photocatalyst exhibits more absorption (λ ≤ 650 nm) compared to pure STO (λ ≤ 360 nm).Further,from photoluminescence spectra,fluorescence spectra,and photoelectrochemical measurements,charge separation in STO is considerably enhanced by co-doping B and Fe.This resulted in the improved UV-vis light catalytic activities for CO2 conversion to CH4 and CO and H2O splitting to evolve H2.The amounts of CH4 and CO produced over B,F-STO are ~ 17.2 and 21 μmol,respectively,about 5-fold enhanced compared to that of STO (~ 3.4 μmol CH4 and 5.2 μmol CO),and the calculated quantum efficiency at λ =420 run is ~ 2.16%.Similarly,the amount of H2 produced over B,F-STO is ~ 61 μmol,about 6.7-fold enhanced compared to that over STO (9 μmol),and the calculated quantum efficiency at λ =420 nm is ~ 2.12%.This work provides feasible routes to fabricate highly efficient SrTiO3-based nanophotocatalysts for solar-fuel production.Muhammad Humayun Lei Xu Ling Zhou Zhiping Zheng Qiuyun Fu Wei Luo 2018Nano Research2018,11,12:3
14Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite scintillators for mixed field radiation detection显示文摘Sensitive and fast detection of neutrons and gamma rays is vital for homeland security,high-energy physics,and proton therapy.Fast-neutron detectors rely on light organic scintillators,andγ-ray detectors use heavy inorganic scintillators and semiconductors.Efficient mixed-field detection using a single material is highly challenging due to their contradictory requirements.Here we report hybrid perovskites(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)that combine light organic cations and heavy inorganic skeletons at a molecular level to achieve unprecedented performance for mixed-field radiation detection.High neutron absorption due to a high density of hydrogen,strong radiative recombination within the highly confined[PbX_(6)]^(4-)layer,and sub-nanometer distance between absorption sites and radiative centers,enable a light yield of 41000 photons/MeV,detection pulse width of 2.97 ns and extraordinary linearity response toward both fast neutrons andγ-rays,outperforming commonly used fast-neutron scintillators.Neutron energy spectrum,time-of-flight based fast-neutron/γ-ray discrimination and neutron yield monitoring were all successfully achieved using(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)detectors.We further demonstrate the monitoring of reaction kinetics and total power of a nuclear fusion reaction.We envision that molecular hybridized scintillators open a new avenue for mixed-field radiation detection and imaging.Mengling Xia Guangda Niu Linyue Liu Runlong Gao Tong Jin Pengying Wan Weicheng Pan Xianpeng Zhang Zuoxiang Xie Sam Teale Zenghua Cai Jiajun Luo Shan Zhao Haodi Wu Shiyou Chen Zhiping Zheng Qingguo Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Edward HSargent Jiang Tang 2022InfoMat2022,4,9:2

16Water Distribution and Removal along the Flow Channel in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells显示文摘Distribution expressions of total gas pressure and partial water vapor pressure along the channel direction were established based on lumped model by analyzing pressure loss in the channel and gas diffusion in the layer. The mechanism of droplet formation in the flow channel was also analyzed. Effects of the relative humidity, working temperature and stoichiometry on liquid water formation were discussed in detail. Moreover, the force equilibrium equation of the droplet in the flow channel was deduced, and the critical flow velocity for the water droplet removal was also addressed. The experimental results show that the threshold position of the liquid droplet is far from the inlet with the increase of temperature, and it decreases with the increase of the inlet total pressure. 17Visible Raman and Brillouin lasers from a microresonator/ZBLAN-fiber hybrid system显示文摘Raman and Brillouin lasers based on a high-quality(high-Q) whispering gallery mode microresonator(WGMR)are usually achieved by employing a tunable single-frequency laser as a pump source. Here, we experimentally demonstrate visible Raman and Brillouin lasers using a compact microresonator/ZrF4-BaF2-LaF3-AlF3-NaF(ZBLAN)-fiber hybrid system by incorporating a WGMR with a fiber-compatible distributed Bragg reflector/fiber Bragg grating to form a Fabry–Perot(F-P) fiber cavity and using a piece of Pr:ZBLAN fiber as gain medium.The high-Q silica-microsphere not only offers a Rayleigh-scattering-induced backreflection to form the ~635 nm red laser oscillation in the F-P fiber cavity, but also provides a nonlinear gain in the WGMR itself to generate either stimulated Raman scattering or stimulated Brillouin scattering. Up to six-order cascaded Raman lasers at0.65 μm, 0.67 μm, 0.69 μm, 0.71 μm, 0.73 μm, and 0.76 μm are achieved, respectively. Moreover, a Brillouin laser at 635.54 nm is clearly observed. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the first demonstration of visible microresonator-based lasers created by combining a Pr:ZBLAN fiber. 20New Algorithm Rules Out Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure Development within 28 Days from Acute Decompensation of Cirrhosis显示文摘Background and Aims:Approximately 10%of patients with acute decompensated(AD)cirrhosis develop acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)within 28 days.Such cases have high mortality and are difficult to predict.Therefore,we aimed to establish and validate an algorithm to identify these patients on hospitalization.Methods:Hospitalized patients with AD who developed ACLF within 28 days were considered pre-ACLF.Organ dysfunction was defined accord-ing to the chronic liver failure-sequential organ failure as-sessment(CLIF-SOFA)criteria,and proven bacterial infec-tion was taken to indicate immune system dysfunction.A retrospective multicenter cohort and prospective one were used to derive and to validate the potential algorithm,re-spectively.A miss rate of<5%was acceptable for the calcu-lating algorithm to rule out pre-ACLF.Results:In the deri-vation cohort(n=673),46 patients developed ACLF within 28 days.Serum total bilirubin,creatinine,international normalized ratio,and present proven bacterial infection at admission were associated with the development of ACLF.AD patients with≥2 organ dysfunctions had a higher risk for pre-ACLF patients[odds ratio=16.58195%confidence interval:(4.271-64.363),p<0.001].In the derivation co-hort,67.5%of patients(454/673)had≤1 organ dysfunction and two patients(0.4%)were pre-ACLF,with a miss rate of 4.3%(missed/total,2/46).In the validation cohort,65.9%of patients(914/1388)had≤1 organ dysfunction,and four(0.3%)of them were pre-ACLF,with a miss rate of 3.4%(missed/total,4/117).Conclusions:AD patients with≤1 organ dysfunction had a significantly lower risk of developing ACLF within 28 days of admission and could be safely ruled out with a pre-ACLF miss rate of<5%.Xiaoting Tang Hai Li Guohong Deng Xin Zheng Xianbo Wang Yan Huang Yanhang Gao Zhongji Meng Zhiping Qian Feng Liu Xiaobo Lu Yu Shi Beiling Li Wenyi Gu Xiaomei Xiang Yan Xiong Yixin Hou Jun Chen Na Gao Sen Luo Liujuan Ji Jing Li Rongjiong Zheng Haotang Ren Jinjun Chen 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,3:1
