| 3 | The influence of tectonic evolution on the accumulation and enrichment of coalbed methane (CBM)显示文摘The current accumulation and enrichment of CBM reservoir is a result of the preservation and destruction of former CBM, after the superposing evolution of reversing-and-uplifting and the subsequent evolution within the coal-bearing basin. The critical moment of the CBM reservoir formation is the time when the burying depth of the overlying net thickness amounts to the least in geological history after the gas generation of coal beds. Except the coal-bearing basins of lower metamorphism, most basins suffered the evolution stage of reversion and uplift. The formation of the CBM reservoir is controlled by the beginning and lasting time, and the intensity of reversing and uplifting. The tectonic evolution after reversing and uplifting also affects the accumulation of CBM in coal-bearing basin. The CBM constantly dissipates in the area of chronically uplifting and de-nudating. | 4 | Clinical applications of MARSALA for preimplantation genetic diagnosis of spinal muscular atrophy显示文摘Conventional PCR methods combined with linkage analysis based on short tandem repeats(STRs) or Karyomapping with single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) arrays, have been applied to preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD) for spinal muscular atrophy(SMA), an autosome recessive disorder. However, it has limitations in SMA diagnosis by Karyomapping, and these methods are unable to distinguish wildtype embryos with carriers effectively. Mutated allele revealed by sequencing with aneuploidy and linkage analyses(MARSALA) is a new method allowing embryo selection by a one-step next-generation sequencing(NGS) procedure, which has been applied in PGD for both autosome dominant and X-linked diseases in our group previously. In this study, we carried out PGD based on MARSALA for two carrier families with SMA affected children. As a result, one of the couples has given birth to a healthy baby free of mutations in SMA-causing gene. It is the first time that MARSALA was applied to PGD for SMA, and we can distinguish the embryos with heterozygous deletion(carriers) from the wild-type(normal) ones accurately through this NGS-based method. In addition, direct mutation detection allows us to identify the affected embryos(homozygous deletion), which can be regarded as probands for linkage analysis, in case that the affected family member is absent. | 5 | Hazard-evaluation-oriented Moving Horizon Parallel Steering Control for Driver-Automation Collaboration During Automated Driving显示文摘Prompted by emerging developments in connected and automated vehicles, parallel steering control, one aspect of parallel driving, has become highly important for intelligent vehicles for easing the burden and ensuring the safety of human drivers. This paper presents a parallel steering control framework for an intelligent vehicle using moving horizon optimization.The framework considers lateral stability, collision avoidance and actuator saturation and describes them as constraints, which can blend the operation of a human driver and a parallel steering controller effectively. Moreover, the road hazard and the steering operation error are employed to evaluate the operational hazardous of an intelligent vehicle. Under the hazard evaluation,the intelligent vehicle will be mainly operated by the human driver when the vehicle operates in a safe and stable manner.The automated steering driving objective will play an active role and regulate the steering operations of the intelligent vehicle based on the hazard evaluation. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed hazard-evaluation-oriented moving horizon parallel steering control approach, various validations are conducted, and the results are compared with a parallel steering scheme that does not consider automated driving situations. | 10 | TXNDC5 synergizes with HSC70 to exacerbate the inflammatory phenotype of synovial fibroblasts in rheumatoid arthritis through NF-κB signaling显示文摘The upregulated expression of thioredoxin domain-containing protein 5(TXNDC5)is associated with rheumatoid arthritis in patients and model mice.However,the underlying mechanism by which TXNDC5 influences the pathological activation of rheumatoid arthritis synovial fibroblasts(RASFs)remains unknown.In this study,we show that TXNDC5 expression in RASFs and their cytokine production are significantly upregulated in response to LPS,TNF-αand IL-6,but suppressed by transfection with TXNDC5-siRNA.TXNDC5 is further validated as the direct target of NF-κB signaling.Mechanistically,TXNDC5 directly interacts with heat shock cognate 70 protein(HSC70)to sequester it in the cytoplasm,and HSC70 silencing exerts the same effects as TXNDC5 on the biological activity of RASFs(for example,decreased cell viability,invasion and cytokine production).Furthermore,HSC70 activates NF-κB signaling by destabilizing IκBβprotein in the absence of LPS or facilitating its nuclear translocation in the presence of LPS.Importantly,TXNDC5 can also regulate the activity of NF-κB signaling in a HSC70-IκBβ-dependent manner.Taken together,by linking HSC70 and NF-κB signaling,TXNDC5 plays a pro-inflammatory role in RASFs,highlighting a potential approach to treat RA by blocking the TXNDC5/HSC70 interaction. | Lin Wang Hongyan Dong Guanhua Song Rui Zhang Jihong Pan Jinxiang Han | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,7: | 5 |
| 11 | Causes for different spatial distributions of minimum Arctic sea-ice extent in 2007 and 2012显示文摘Satellite records show the minimum Arctic sea ice extents(SIEs) were observed in the Septembers of 2007 and2012, but the spatial distributions of sea ice concentration reduction in these two years were quite different.Atmospheric circulation pattern and the upper-ocean state in summer were investigated to explain the difference.By employing the ice-temperature and ice-specific humidity(SH) positive feedbacks in the Arctic Ocean, this paper shows that in 2007 and 2012 the higher surface air temperature(SAT) and sea level pressure(SLP)accompanied by more surface SH and higher sea surface temperature(SST), as a consequence, the strengthened poleward wind was favorable for melting summer Arctic sea ice in different regions in these two years. SAT was the dominant factor influencing the distribution of Arctic sea ice melting. The correlation coefficient is –0.84 between SAT anomalies in summer and the Arctic SIE anomalies in autumn. The increase SAT in different regions in the summers of 2007 and 2012 corresponded to a quicker melting of sea ice in the Arctic. The SLP and related wind were promoting factors connected with SAT. Strengthening poleward winds brought warm moist air to the Arctic and accelerated the melting of sea ice in different regions in the summers of 2007 and 2012. | 14 | SRWD1, a novel target gene of DELLA and WRKY proteins, participates in the development and immune response of rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘SRWD1, a member of the WD40 protein subfamily, is induced by salt stress in rice and its homolog in barley can bind to GAMYB, implying that SRWD1 might be involved in plant defense against environmental stress and gibberellic acid(GA) signalings. In this study, we focused on the biological functions and regulation mechanisms of SRWD1 in rice. The results showed that SRWD1 expression was repressed by GA and induced by abscisic acid(ABA). Two WRKY-family transcription factors, Os WRKY45 and Os WRKY72, were found to regulate SRWD1 expression by directly binding to the W-box region in its promoter. | 15 | Changes in extreme high-temperature tolerance and activities of antioxidant enzymes of sacred lotus seeds显示文摘Sacred lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. ‘Tielian’) seed is long-lived and extremely tolerant of high temperature. Water content of lotus and maize seeds was 0.103 and 0.129 g H2O [g DW] ?1, respectively. Water content, germination percentage and fresh weight of seedlings produced by surviving seeds gradually decreased with increasing treatment time at 100℃. Germination percentage of maize (Zea mays L. ‘Huangbaogu’) seeds was zero after they were treated at 100℃ for 15 min and that of lotus seeds was 13.5% following the treatment at 100℃ for 24 h. The time in which 50% of lotus and maize seeds were killed by 100℃ was about 14.5 h and 6 min, respectively. With increasing treatment time at 100℃, relative electrolyte leakage of lotus axes increased significantly, and total chlorophyll content of lotus axes markedly decreased. When treatment time at 100℃ was less than 12 h, subcellular structure of lotus hypocotyls remained fully intact. When treatment time at 100℃ was more than 12 h, plasmoly-sis gradually occurred, endoplasmic reticulum became unclear, nuclei and nucleoli broke down, most of mitochondria swelled, lipid granules accumulated at the cell periphery, and organelles and plas-molemma collapsed. Malondialdehyde (MDA) content of lotus axes and cotyledons decreased during 0-12 h of the treatment at 100℃ and then increased. By contrast, the MDA content of maize embryos and endosperms increased during 5-10 min of the treatment at 100℃ and then decreased slightly. For lotus seeds: (1) activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione reductase (GR) of axes and cotyledons and of catalase (CAT) of axes increased during the early phase of treatment at 100℃ and then decreased; and (2) activities of ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and dehydroascorbate reductase (DHAR) of axes and cotyledons and of CAT of cotyledons gradually decreased with increasing treat-ment time at 100℃. For maize seeds: (1) activities of SOD and DHAR of embryos and endosperms and of GR of embryos increased during the early phase of the treatment at 100℃ and then decreased; and (2) activities of APX and CAT of embryos and endosperms and of GR of endosperms rapidly decreased with increasing treatment time at 100℃. | 16 | Weaving 3D highly conductive hierarchically interconnected nanoporous web by threading MOF crystals onto multi walled carbon nanotubes for high performance Li-Se battery显示文摘Lithium-selenium(Li-Se)battery has attracted growing attention.Nevertheless,its practical application is still impeded by the shuttle effect of the formed polyselenides.Herein,we report in-situ hydrothermal weaving the three-dimensional(3 D)highly conductive hierarchically interconnected nanoporous web by threading microporous metal organic framework MIL-68(Al)crystals onto multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs).Such 3 D hierarchically nanoporous web(3 D MIL-68(Al)@MWCNTs web)with a very high surface area,a large amount of micropores,electrical conductivity and elasticity strongly traps the soluble polyselenides during the electrochemical reaction and significantly facilitates lithium ion diffusion and electron transportation.Molecular dynamic calculation confirmed the strong affinity of MIL-68(Al)for the adsorption of polyselenides,quite suitable for Li-Se battery.Their hexahedral channels(1.56 nm)are more efficient for the confinement of polyselenides and for the diffusion of electrolytes compared to their smaller triangular channels(0.63 nm).All these excellent characteristics of 3 D MIL-68(Al)@MWCNTs web with suitable confinement of a large amount of selenium and the conductive linkage between MIL-68(Al)host by MWCNTs result in a high capacity of 453 m Ah/g at 0.2 C with 99.5%coulombic efficiency after 200 cycles with significantly improved cycle stability and rate performance.The 3 D MIL-68(Al)@MWCNTs web presents a good performance in Li-Se battery in term of the specific capacity and cycling stability and also in terms of rate performance compared with all the metal-organic framework(MOF)based or MOF derived porous carbons used in Li-Se battery. | Chao Li Yingying Wang Hongyan Li Jing Liu Jianping Song Luca Fusaro Zhi-Yi Hu Yanxin Chen Yu Li Bao-Lian Su | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8: | 4 |

Through the establishment of the 'Soil processes and ecological services in the karst critical zone of SW China'(SPECTRA)Critical Zone Observatory(CZO) we will endevaour to understand the fundmental processes involved in soil production and erosion, and investigate the integrated geophysical-geochemical-ecological responses of the CZ to perturbations. The CZ spans a gradient from undisturbed natural vegetation through human perturbed landscapes.We seek to understand the importance of heterogeneity insurface and below-ground morphology and flow pathways in determining the spatial distribution of key stocks(soil,C, vegetation, etc.) and their control on ecosystem service delivery. We will assess the extent to which the highly heterogeneous critical zone resources can be restored to enable sustainable delivery of ecosystem services. | 20 | Active loading liposomal irinotecan hydrochloride:Preparation,in vitro and in vivo evaluation显示文摘The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of various transmembrane ammonium salt gradients and different lipid composition on the loading efficiency of liposomal formulations of irinotecan hydrochloride(CPT-11),their behavior in vivo and cytotoxicity.Among ammonium salts studied,ammonium sulfate was successfully used to load CPT-11 into liposomes with the highest encapsulation efficiency.Subsequently,liposomal CPT-11 with different lipid composition was prepared by ammonium sulfate gradient method.CPT-11 can be loaded to a level over 90%into liposomes composed of soybean phospholipids/cholesterol(SPC-L)or hydrogenated natural soybean phospholipids/cholesterol(HSPC-L).In vitro release profiles were also investigated,indicating that HSPC-L had a lower release than that in SPC-L.In vivo,encapsulation of CPT-11 in both liposomal formulations showed higher area under the curve(AUC),a lower rate of clearance(CL)and smaller volume of distribution for CPT-11 than those of irinotecan hydrochloride solution(CPT-11-S).However,CL and AUC of 7-ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin(SN-38)were moderately improved in HSPC-L group.Based on the results of comparative pharmacokinetics of liposomal CPT-11 with different lipid composition,the in vitro cytotoxicity of HSPC-L was evaluated with human tumor cell.The result indicated that liposomal CPT-11 showed a great enhancement in vitro cytotoxicity.The results suggested that entrapment of CPT-11 in liposomes especially in those with high phase-transition temperature lipid by ammonium sulfate gradient would be a promising formulation with a better in vivo behavior. | Hongyan Wei Juan Song Hao Li Yang Li Shanshan Zhu Xiaodan Zhou Xiwen Zhang Li Yang | 2013 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2013,8,5: | 3 |
