| 2 | Climate and environment reconstruction during the Medieval Warm Period in Lop Nur of Xinjiang, China显示文摘We made multi-proxy analysis of 14C, grain size, microfossils, plant seeds, and geochemical elements on samples from a profile in the central West Lake of Lop Nur. The grain size suggests relatively stable sedimentary environment around the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) with weak storm effect, which is followed by frequent strong storm events. Abundant microfossils and plant seeds in this stage indicate a warm and humid fresh to brackish lake environment. C, N, and stable elements are high in content in the sediments while Rb/Sr, Ba/Sr, and Ti/Sr are in a steady low level. In addition, plenty of red willows lived here prior to about 700 a B.P., indicating a favorable environmental condition. The results indicate that the environment in Lop Nur and its west bank turned to be favorable at about 2200 a B.P., where the Loulan Culture began to thrive. Then the climate and environment came to be in the good condition in the Tang and Song Dynasties, when the storm effect became weaker, rainfall increased and the salty lake water turned to be brackish to fresh lake water. | 4 | A preliminary study of chronology for a newly-discovered ancient city and five archaeological sites in Lop Nor, China显示文摘In the past century, it has long been debated in the archeological, historical, geographical, and many other related communities where the capital of the Luolan and Shanshan states was in the Lop Nor region. This paper presents three AMS radiocarbon ages from a newly-discovered ancient city at about 6.3 km to the northwest of the Xiaohe Graveyard, and fifteen new radiocarbon ages from the Loulan (LA), LE, Qieerqiduke, Milan, and Tuyin sites in Lop Nor. The new investigation shows that the age of newly-discovered ancient city is at ca. 440–500 AD, belonging to the Northern Wei Dynasty (386–534 AD). This is about 100–300 years younger than Loulan (ca. 100–230 AD), LE (ca. 230–300 AD), Qieerqiduke (ca. 200 AD), and Tuyin (ca. 100 AD). A wooden beam from Milan fortress is dated to ca. 370 AD, while the age on north wall at west gate of the fortress is younger, around 770 AD, suggesting that its construction time might be at the Tang Dynasty. According to 14C ages, cultural relic style, and the geographical location, the newly-discovered ancient city is probably attributed to 'Zhubin City', as documented in the historical literature. Temporally, we name the city 'ancient Zhubin River City'. However, the characteristics and functions of this ancient city are largely unknown and need more detailed archaeological excavation and investigation in the future. Given its location near the ancient postal relay of Alagan on the crossroad, there is no doubt that the newly-discovered city was at an important geographical position on the Silk Road, no matter whether it was called 'Zhubin City', or 'Lielo City', or the capital of Loulan state–'Yuni City'. | 5 | Characterization of 500 Chinese patients with cervical esophageal cancer by clinicopathological and treatment outcomes显示文摘Objective: There are no comprehensive studies on survival outcomes and optimal treatment protocols for cervical esophageal cancer(CEC), due to its rare clinical prevalence. Our objective was to determine the relationship between pathological characteristics, treatment protocols, and survival outcomes in Chinese CEC patients.Methods: A total of 500 Chinese CEC patients were selected from our 500,000 esophageal and gastric cardia carcinoma database(1973–2018). There were two main groups: patients treated with surgery, and patients receiving non-surgical treatments(radiotherapy, radiochemotherapy, and chemotherapy). The Chi-square test and Kaplan–Meier method were used to compare the continuous variables and survival.Results: Among the 500 CEC patients, 278(55.6%) were male, and the median age was 60.9 ± 9.4 years. A total of 496 patients(99.2%) were diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. In 171(34.2%) patients who received surgery, 22(12.9%) had undergone laryngectomy. In 322(64.4%) patients who received non-surgical treatments, 245(76.1%) received radiotherapy. Stratified survival analysis showed that only T stage was related with survival outcomes for CEC patients in the surgical group, and the outcomes between laryngectomy and non-laryngectomy patients were similar. It was noteworthy that the 5-year survival rate was similar in CEC patients among the different groups treated with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or radiochemotherapy(P = 0.244). Conclusions: The CEC patients had similar survival outcomes after curative esophagectomy and radiotherapy, including those with or without total laryngectomy. | 10 | Effect of CO_(2)on coal P-wave velocity under triaxial stress显示文摘As P-wave velocity is sensitive to the variations in coal reservoir parameters,it is possible to monitor the injected CO_(2)through P-wave velocity during CO_(2)sequestration in coal.However,the effects of CO_(2)on the coal P-wave velocity under triaxial stress are not clearly discerned.In the present study,different boundary conditions and gases were utilised to investigate the factors affecting the P-wave velocity after the interaction of coal with CO_(2).Experiments with helium indicated that the pore pressure primarily affected the P-wave velocity by altering the effective stress.Experiments with CH4 and CO_(2)indicated that matrix swelling induced-cleats porosity decline significantly promoted P-wave velocity.Moreover,CO_(2)caused a wider scale and severe weakening of coal matrix than CH4,thereby significantly decreasing the P-wave velocity,and the decline in P-wave velocity increases with vitrinite content.Furthermore,experiments under different boundary conditions showed that with the boundary condition having more constraints,the decrement of pore pressure on P-wave velocity is more weaken,whereas the improvement of matrix swelling on P-wave velocity is more evident.This study contributes to understanding the mechanism of effect of CO_(2)on P-wave velocity under triaxial stress condition and provides guidance for monitoring CO_(2)sequestration in coal. | Shuangjiang Zhu Jianhong Kang Youpai Wang Fubao Zhou | 2022 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,1: | 3 |

| 12 | Real-Time Patient-Specific ECG Arrhythmia Detection by Quantum Genetic Algorithm of Least Squares Twin SVM显示文摘The automatic detection of cardiac arrhythmias through remote monitoring is still a challenging task since electrocardiograms(ECGs)are easily contaminated by physiological artifacts and external noises,and these morphological characteristics show significant variations for different patients.A fast patient-specific arrhythmia diagnosis classifier scheme is proposed,in which a wavelet adaptive threshold denoising is combined with quantum genetic algorithm(QAG)based on least squares twin support vector machine(LSTSVM).The wavelet adaptive threshold denoising is employed for noise reduction,and then morphological features combined with the timing interval features are extracted to evaluate the classifier.For each patient,an individual and fast classifier will be trained by common and patient-specific training data.Following the recommendations of the Association for the Advancements of Medical Instrumentation(AAMI),experimental results over the MIT-BIH arrhythmia benchmark database demonstrated that our proposed method achieved the average detection accuracy of 98.22%,99.65%and 99.41%for the abnormal,ventricular ectopic beats(VEBs)and supra-VEBs(SVEBs),respectively.Besides the detection accuracy,sensitivity and specificity,our proposed method consumes the less CPU running time compared with the other representative state of the art methods.It can be ported to Android based embedded system,henceforth suitable for a wearable device. | Duan Li Ruizheng Shi Ni Yao Fubao Zhu Ke Wang | 2020 | Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2020,29,1: | 2 |
| 13 | Temperature dependent spectral response characteristic of Ⅲ-Ⅴ compound tandem cell显示文摘The GaInP/GaAs/Ge triple-junction tandem cells with a conversion efficiency of 27.1% were fabricated using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) technique. Temperature dependence of the spectral response measurements of the GaInP/GaAs/Ge tandem cell was performed by a quantum effi- ciency system at temperatures ranging from 25℃ to 160℃. The red-shift phenomena of the absorption limit for all subcells were observed with increasing temperature, which is dued to the energy gap nar-rowing with temperature. The short-circuit current densities (Jsc) of GaInP, GaAs and Ge subcells at room temperature calculated based on the spectral response data were 12.9, 13.7 and 17 mA/cm2, re- spectively.
