8Effect of suppressing dust by multi-direction whirling air curtain on fully mechanized mining face显示文摘A combined method of numerical simulation and field testing was adopted in this study in the interest of solving the problem of hard to control high concentrate dusts on a fully mechanized mining face.In addition,the dust suppression effect of a multi-direction whirling air curtain was studied in this paper.Under the influence of the wall attachment effect,the compressed air which blows out from the two-phase or three-phase radial outlets on the generator of the air curtain can form a multi-direction whirling air curtain,which can cover the whole roadway section of a fully mechanized mining face.The traditional method of controlling dust is a forcing system with exhaust overlap which has the major disadvantage of lacking a jet effect and consequently results in poor dust control.It is difficult to form the air flow field within the range of L_p5Sr^(1/2).However,due to the effect of this novel system,the radial airflow can be turned into axial airflow allowing fresh air to flow through the length of the heading.The air flow field which is good at controlling dust diffusion can be formed 12.8 m from the heading face.Furthermore,the field measurement results show that before the application of a multi-direction whirling air curtain,the dust concentration is 348.6 mg/m^3 and 271.4 mg/m^3 respectively at the roadway cross-section measurement points which are 5 m and 10 m from the heading face.However,after the application of the multi-direction whirling air curtain,the dust concentration is only 61.2 mg/m^3 and 14.8 mg/m^3,respectively.Therefore,the dust control effect of a multi-direction whirling air curtain is obvious.Nie Wen Liu Yanghao Wei Wenle Hu Xiangming Ma Xiao Peng Huitian 2016International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,4:6
9Secondary-Atom-Doping Enables Robust Fe-N-C Single-Atom Catalysts with Enhanced Oxygen Reduction Reaction显示文摘Single-atom catalysts(SACs) with nitrogen-coordinated nonprecious metal sites have exhibited inimitable advantages in electrocatalysis.However,a large room for improving their activity and durability remains.Herein,we construct atomically dispersed Fe sites in N-doped carbon supports by secondary-atom-doped strategy.Upon the secondary doping,the density and coordination environment of active sites can be efficiently tuned,enabling the simultaneous improvement in the number and reactivity of the active site.Besides,structure optimizations in terms of the enlarged surface area and improved hydrophilicity can be achieved simultaneously.Due to the beneficial microstructure and abundant highly active FeN_5 moieties resulting from the secondary doping,the resultant catalyst exhibits an admirable half-wave potential of 0.81 V versus 0.83 V for Pt/C and much better stability than Pt/C in acidic media.This work would offer a general strategy for the design and preparation of highly active SACs for electrochemical energy devices.Xin Luo Xiaoqian Wei Hengjia Wang Wenling Gu Takuma Kaneko Yusuke Yoshida Xiao Zhao Chengzhou Zhu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11:5

12Neuropeptide Y protects cerebral cortical neurons by regulating microglial immune function显示文摘Neuropeptide Y has been shown to inhibit the immunological activity of reactive microglia in the rat cerebral cortex, to reduce N-methyl-D-aspartate current(INMDA) in cortical neurons, and protect neurons. In this study, after primary cultured microglia from the cerebral cortex of rats were treated with lipopolysaccharide, interleukin-1β and tumor necrosis factor-α levels in the cell culture medium increased, and mRNA expression of these cytokines also increased. After primary cultured cortical neurons were incubated with the lipopolysaccharide-treated microglial conditioned medium, peak INMDA in neurons increased. These effects of lipopolysaccharide were suppressed by neuropeptide Y. After addition of the neuropeptide Y Y1 receptor antagonist BIBP3226, the effects of neuropeptide Y completely disappeared. These results suggest that neuropeptide Y prevents excessive production of interleukin-1β and tumor necrosis factor-α by inhibiting microglial reactivity. 13Atomically dispersed N-coordinated Fe-Fe dual-sites with enhanced enzyme-like activities显示文摘Replacement of enzymes with nanomaterials such as atomically dispersed metal catalysts is one of the most crucial steps in addressing the challenges in biocataiysis.Despite the breakthroughs of single-atom catalysts in enzyme-mimicking,a fundamental investigation on the development of an instructional strategy is still required for mimicking biatomic/multiatomic active sites in natural enzymes and constructing synergistically enhanced metal atom active sites.Herein,Fe_(2)NC catalysts with atomically dispersed Fe-Fe dual-sites supported by the metal-organic frameworks-derived nitrogen-doped carbon are employed as biomimetic catalysts to perform proof-of-concept investigation.The effect of Fe atom number toward typical oxidase(cytochrome C oxidase,NADH oxidase,and ascorbic acid oxidase)and peroxidase(NADH peroxidase and ascorbic acid peroxidase)activities is systematically evaluated by experimental and theoretical investigations.A peroxo-like O_(2) adsorption in Fe_(2)NC nanozymes could accelerate the O-O activation and thus achieve the enhanced enzyme-like activities.This work achieves the vivid simulation of the enzyme active sites and provides the theoretical basis for the design of high-performance nanozymes.As a concept application,a colorimetric biosensor for the detection of S^(2-) in tap water is established based on the inhibition of enzyme-like activity of Fe_(2)NC nanozymes.Lei Jiao Wei Ye Yikun Kang Yu Zhang Weiqing Xu Yu Wu Wenling Gu Weiyu Song Yujie Xiong Chengzhou Zhu 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1

18Carboxyl-functionalized Nanocellulose Reinforced Nanocomposite Proton Exchange Membrane显示文摘Nanocellulose(NCC) was prepared through the acid hydrolysis of microcellulose(MCC) and was reacted with maleic anliydride to obtain carboxyl-functionized nanocellulose(MA-NCCs). The presence of .OH and .SO3H on the surface of rod-like MA-NCC was confirmed by Fourier transfonn infrared spectrometry(FTIR). Sulfonated poly(aryl ether ether ketone ketone)(Ph-SPEEKK) was synthesized with bis(4-fluorophenyl-methanone) and 2-phenylhydroquinone as monomer. MA-NCC/Ph-SPEEKK nanocomposite membranes with different MA-NCCs content were prepared, and their properties were characterized. Compared with Ph-SPEEKK, MA-NCC/Ph-SPEEKK nanocomposite membrane showed better mechanical and thermal properties and higher proton conductivity. The proton conductivity of the composite membrane with 4%(mass fraction) MA-NCCs under 80℃ was 0.095 S/cm. 19Ionic liquids on uncharged and charged surfaces: In situ microstructures and nanofriction显示文摘In situ changes in the nanofriction and microstructures of ionic liquids(ILs)on uncharged and charged surfaces have been investigated using colloid probe atomic force microscopy(AFM)and molecular dynamic(MD)simulations.Two representative ILs,[BMIM][BF_(4)](BB)and[BMIM][PF_(6)](BP),containing a common cation,were selected for this study.The torsional resonance frequency was captured simultaneously when the nanoscale friction force was measured at a specified normal load;and it was regarded as a measure of the contact stiffness,reflecting in situ changes in the IL microstructures.A higher nanoscale friction force was observed on uncharged mica and highly oriented pyrolytic graphite(HOPG)surfaces when the normal load increased;additionally,a higher torsional resonance frequency was detected,revealing a higher contact stiffness and a more ordered IL layer.The nanofriction of ILs increased at charged HOPG surfaces as the bias voltage varied from 0 to 8 V or from 0 to−8 V.The simultaneously recorded torsional resonance frequency in the ILs increased with the positive or negative bias voltage,implying a stiffer IL layer and possibly more ordered ILs under these conditions.MD simulation reveals that the[BMIM]+imidazolium ring lies parallel to the uncharged surfaces preferentially,resulting in a compact and ordered IL layer.This parallel“sleeping”structure is more pronounced with the surface charging of either sign,indicating more ordered ILs,thereby substantiating the AFM-detected stiffer IL layering on the charged surfaces.Our in situ observations of the changes in nanofriction and microstructures near the uncharged and charged surfaces may facilitate the development of IL-based applications,such as lubrication and electrochemical energy storage devices,including supercapacitors and batteries.Rong AN Yudi WEI Xiuhua QIU Zhongyang DAI Muqiu WU Enrico GNECCO Faiz Ullah SHAH Wenling ZHANG 2022Friction2022,10,11:0
20Insight of unresolved complex mixtures of saturated hydrocarbons in heavy oil via GC×GC-TOFMS analysis显示文摘The saturated hydrocarbon fraction of a heavily biodegraded crude oil from Liaohe oilfield was analyzed by using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC-TOFMS). The 'humps', which was termed as unresolved complex mixtures (UCMs) in conventional gas chromatographic analysis, was separated for identification of the individual compound. Main compounds of UCMs were identified according to the combined information of characteristics of GC×GC chromatogram and time-of-flight mass spectra. It's found that UCMs are mainly composed of great number of ring compounds with extremely low concentration. The ring compounds are separated according to their boiling point diversity in the first dimension column, then to their polarity or ring number variety in the second dimension column. In the sample there are two groups of UCMs, i.e., the first group compounds with boiling point lower that of C24 and the second group compounds with boiling point higher than that of C24. The first group of UCMs mainly consists of monocyclic, bicyclic and tricyclic ring compounds. The first group of UCMs is mainly composed of saturated hydrocarbons, in which the percentage of ring compounds with signal-to-noise ratio above 100 is about 75% of the total quantity of saturated hydrocarbon, while its mass is over 80% of the total saturated hydrocarbon. The second group of UCMs is mainly composed of tetracyclic and pentacyclic ring compounds, in which the percentage of UCM compounds with signal-to-noise ratio over 100 is about 17% of the total quantity of saturated hydrocarbon, and its mass is about 0.5% of the total saturated hydrocarbon.
