| 2 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 3 | BODIPY-derived ratiometric fluorescent sensors: pH-regulated aggregation-induced emission and imaging application in cellular acidification triggered by crystalline silica exposure显示文摘Modification of classic fluorophore to possess the emission transitions between aggregation-induced emission(AIE)and intrinsic emission offers reliable approach to the design of ratiometric fluorescent sensors.In this study,a proton acceptor benzimidazole was integrated with BODIPY to form three compounds,BBI-1/2/3,which demonstrated the AIE(~595 nm,I_(agg))in neutral aqueous medium and intrinsic BODIPYemission(~510 nm,I_(int))in acidic medium.All the three showed the ratiometric pH sensing behavior in a dual excitation/dual emission mode,yet BBI-3 displayed still the dual emission ratiometric pH sensing ability.The pH-dependent emission ratio I_(int)/I_(agg)of the three were fully reversible,and no interference was observed from normal abundant chemical species in live cells.Their different p K_a(BBI-1,p K_a4.4;BBI-2,p K_a2.7;BBI-3,p K_a3.6)suggested that the substituents on benzimidazole moiety were essential to govern their functioning pH range.The ratiometric imaging of BBI-1 in A549 cells provided an effective intracellular pH(pH_i)calibration formula corresponding to emission ratio of I_(int)/I_(agg).Ratiometric pH_iimaging in A549 cells upon small particle exposure confirmed the particle-induced cellular acidification with this formula.Both particle size and the chemical nature of the particle contribute to the observed acidification effect.The synchronization of lysosome disruption to cellular acidification in A549 cells upon crystalline silica exposure was directly observed for the first time with BBI-1,showing the potential application of BBI-1 in the study of silicosis and other related diseases.This study demonstrated that endowing fluorophore with AIE/intrinsic emission transition could be a promising strategy for ratiometric sensor design. | Yang Bai Danyang Liu Zhong Han Yuncong Chen Zhongyan Chen Yang Jiao Weijiang He Zijian Guo | 2018 | Science China Chemistry2018,61,11: | 4 |
| 4 | Experimental and modeling study of NO emission under high CO_2 concentration显示文摘An experimental and numerical study of the NOx formation and reduction process in a designed coal combustion furnace under both traditional air atmosphere and O2/CO2 atmosphere was conducted, in an attempt to explore the chemistry mechanism of the experimentally observed NOx suppression under high CO2 concentration atmospheres. A simplified ‘chemically oriented’ approach, computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-chemical kinetics modeling method, was validated and used to model the experimental process. The high CO2 concentration’s chemical effect on NO reduction has been studied, and the differences in NOx reaction behaviors between O2/CO2 atmosphere and air atmosphere were analyzed by detailed chemical kinetic model. On the basis of investigations through elementary chemical reactions, it can be concluded that high CO2 concentration plays an important role on NOx conversion process during oxy-fuel combustion. Moreover, the dominant reaction steps and the most important reactions for NO conversion under different atmospheres were discussed. | 6 | Pathological matrix stiffness promotes cardiac fibroblast differentiation through the POU2F1 signaling pathway显示文摘Cardiac fibroblast(CF)differentiation into myofibroblasts is a crucial cause of cardiac fibrosis,which increases in the extracellular matrix(ECM)stiffness.The increased stiffness further promotes CF differentiation and fibrosis.However,the molecular mechanism is still unclear.We used bioinformatics analysis to find new candidates that regulate the genes involved in stiffnessinduced CF differentiation,and found that there were binding sites for the POU-domain transcription factor,POU2F1(also known as Oct-1),in the promoters of 50 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in CFs on the stiffer substrate.Immunofluorescent staining and Western blotting revealed that pathological stiffness upregulated POU2F1 expression and increased CF differentiation on polyacrylamide hydrogel substrates and in mouse myocardial infarction tissue.A chromatin immunoprecipitation assay showed that POU2F1 bound to the promoters of fibrosis repressors IL1R2,CD69,and TGIF2.The expression of these fibrosis repressors was inhibited on pathological substrate stiffness.Knockdown of POU2F1 upregulated these repressors and attenuated CF differentiation on pathological substrate stiffness(35 kPa).Whereas,overexpression of POU2F1 downregulated these repressors and enhanced CF differentiation.In conclusion,pathological stiffness upregulates the transcription factor POU2F1 to promote CF differentiation by inhibiting fibrosis repressors.Our work elucidated the crosstalk between CF differentiation and the ECM and provided a potential target for cardiac fibrosis treatment. | Mingzhe Li Jimin Wu Guomin Hu Yao Song Jing Shen Junzhou Xin Zijian Li Wei Liu Erdan Dong Ming Xu Youyi Zhang Han Xiao | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,2: | 3 |

| 9 | Single-molecule imaging reveals the stoichiometry change of epidermal growth factor receptor during transactivation by β_2-adrenergic receptor显示文摘Stimulation of G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs) can lead to the transactivation of the epidermal growth factor receptors(EGFR). The cross-communication between the two signaling pathways regulates several important physiological or pathological processes. However, the molecule mechanism underlying EGFR transactivation remains poorly understood. Here, we aim to study the GPCR-mediated EGFR transactivation process using the single-molecule fluorescence imaging and tracking approach.We found that although EGFR existed as monomers at the plasma membrane of resting cells, they became dimers and thus diffused slower following the activation of β2-adrenergic receptor(β2-AR) by isoproterenol(ISO). We further proved thatβ2-AR-mediated changes of EGFR in stoichiometry and dynamics were mediated by Src kinase. | 11 | Effect of Nb Content on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nbx High-Entropy Alloys显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs)have significant application prospects as promising candidate materials for nuclear industry due to their excellent mechanical properties,corrosion resistance and irradiation resistance.In this work,the Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(x)(x=0,0.25,0.5,0.75 and 1.0)HEAs were designed and fabricated.The alloys were prepared by vacuum arc melting,and all the ingots were annealed at 1200℃ for 24 h.The microstructures,crystal structures,hardness and mechanical properties of Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(x) HEAs were investigated.The as-cast alloys are composed of single BCC phase.Moreover,the single BCC phase is retained after annealing at 1200℃ for 24 h.The compressive and microhardness tests show that the strength and hardness of the alloys decrease gradually with the increase of Nb content,while the plasticity increases and the fracture mode of the alloy changes from brittle fracture to ductile fracture,which is mainly owing to the decrease of grain size.The addition of Nb significantly improves the plasticity of the Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(x) alloys.In particular,Nb1.0 alloy can reach 28.32%strain without fracture,which exhibits promising potential in industrial application. | Fengqi Zhang Chao Xiang En-Hou Han Zijian Zhang | 2022 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,10: | 1 |

| 14 | Irradiation behaviors of two novel single-phase bcc-structure high-entropy alloys for accident-tolerant fuel cladding显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs)are potential alternative materials for accident-tolerant fuel cladding due to their excellent irradiation resistance and high-temperature corrosion resistance.In this work,two novel body-centered cubic(bcc)structured Mo_(0.5)Nb Ti VCr_(0.25)and Mo_(0.5)Nb Ti V_(0.5)Zr_(0.25)HEAs were fabricated.Helium-ion irradiation was performed on the two HEAs to simulate neutron irradiation,and the crystal structure,hardness,and microstructure evolution were investigated.The crystal structure of the Mo_(0.5)NbTiVCr_(0.25)HEA remained stable at low fluences,while amorphization may occur at high fluences in the two HEAs.The irradiation hardening value of the Mo_(0.5)NbTiVCr_(0.25)was 0.77 GPa at fluences of 1×10^(17)ions/cm^(2)and 1.49 GPa at fluences of 5×10^(17)ions/cm^(2),while the hardening value of the Mo_(0.5)NbTiV_(0.5)Zr_(0.25)was 1.36 GPa at ion fluences of 5×10^(17)ions/cm^(2).In comparison with most of the conventional alloys,the two HEAs showed slight irradiation hardening.The helium bubbles and dislocation loops with small size were observed in the two HEAs after irradiation.This is the first time to report the formation of a dislocation loop in bcc-structure HEAs after irradiation.However,voids and precipitates were not observed in the two HEAs which could be ascribed to the high lattice distortion and compositional complexity of HEAs.This research revealed that the two HEAs show outstanding irradiation resistance,which may be promising accident-tolerant fuel cladding materials. | Zijian Zhang En-Hou Han Chao Xiang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,25: | 1 |
| 15 | Highly Stretchable and Permeable Conductors Based on Shrinkable Electrospun Fiber Mats显示文摘Wearable on-skin electrodes or conductors should be vapor permeable,strain-insensitive,isotropically stretchable and stable under cyclic stretching.Various strategies have been proposed to prepare the required conductors up to now;however,it is a challenge to fabricate them with above properties in a simple manner.In this paper,a highly permeable and stretchable conductor based on electrospun fluorine rubber fiber mat is reported.The fibers are pre-stretched in electric field during electrospinning,and they shrink isotropically by~35-40%in area after being detached from the substrate.The obtained fiber mat conductor demonstrates high stretchability up to~170%,and the resistance changes only 0.8 under 60%strain,which is superior to many other strain-insensitive conductors.The conductor possesses high stability,no cracks or structure damage are observed after washing and cyclic stretching.Moreover,the conductor is vapor permeable with a water vapor transmission rate of~850 g m−2 day−1,which is comparable to the normal water evaporation in ambient conditions,indicating that it would not disturb the sweat evaporation when being used on skin.The conductor is successfully used as stretchable yarns and electromyography(EMG)electrodes,showing high reliability in E-textiles and on-skin applications. | Qingsong Li Chen Ding Wei Yuan Ruijie Xie Xiaomeng Zhou Yang Zhao Mei Yu Zijian Yang Jing Sun Qiong Tian Fei Han Hanfei Li Xinping Deng Guanglin Li Zhiyuan Liu | 2021 | Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,5: | 1 |
| 16 | Development and characteristics of a low rare-earth containing magnesium alloy with high strength-ductility synergy显示文摘In this study,we successfully developed a low RE containing Mg-3Y-2Gd-1Nd-0.5Zr(wt%)alloy with high strength-ductility synergy by combined processes of hot extrusion,hot rolling and ageing.This alloy exhibits an excellent strength-ductility balance(UTS of 345±2.0 MPa,TYS of 301±5.0 MPa and EL of 9.2±1.9%),which is better than that of many Mg-RE wrought alloys with higher RE concentration and even comparable to that of 6061 Al wrought alloy.A long-range chain-like structure consisting ofβphase,βH phase,βM phase and zig-zag atomic columns is observed for the first time in the studied alloy.The combined process of hot extrusion and hot rolling boosts the formation of deformed grains and low angle grain boundaries,and makes the deformed grains dominate in the alloy strengthening.Under this circumstance,the following ageing generates a novel heterogeneous structure comprising the long-range chain-like structure with broad interparticle spacing and the spacious precipitate-free zones in the deformed grains,which plays a key role in the concurrent strengthening and toughening of the alloy.The present study demonstrates that the deformed grains with long-range chain-like structures and precipitate-free zones is desirable microstructure for the low RE containing Mg alloys to achieve high strength-ductility synergy. | Zijian Yu Xi Xu Kang Shi Baotian Du Xiuzhu Han Tao Xiao Shubo Li Ke Liu Wenbo Du | 2023 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,5: | 1 |
| 17 | CD301b^(+) macrophages mediate angiogenesis of calcium phosphate bioceramics by CaN/NFATc1/VEGF axis显示文摘Calcium phosphate(CaP)bioceramics are important for tissue regeneration and immune response,yet how CaP bioceramics influence these biological processes remains unclear.Recently,the role of immune cells in biomaterial-mediated regeneration,especially macrophages,has been well concerned.CD301b^(+)macrophages were a new subset of macrophages we have discovered,which were required for bioceramics-mediated bone regeneration.Nevertheless,the impact of CD301b^(+)macrophages on angiogenesis,which is a vital prerequisite to bone formation is yet indistinct.Herein,we found that CD301b^(+)macrophages were closely correlated to angiogenesis of CaP bioceramics.Additionally,depletion of CD301b^(+)macrophages led to the failure of angiogenesis.We showed that store-operated Ca^(2+)entry and calcineurin signals regulated the VEGF expression of CD301b^(+)macrophages via the NFATc1/VEGF axis.Inhibition of calcineurin effectively impaired angiogenesis via decreasing the infiltration of CD301b^(+)macrophages.These findings provided a potential immunomodulatory strategy to optimize the integration of angiogenesis and bone tissue engineering scaffold materials. | Jiaolong Wang Qin Zhao Liangliang Fu Shihang Zheng Can Wang Litian Han Zijian Gong Ziming Wang Hua Tang Yufeng Zhang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,9: | 0 |
| 18 | Microstructure,Texture Evolution,and Strain Hardening Behaviour of As-extruded Mg-Zn and Mg-Y Alloys under Compression显示文摘Microstructure,texture evolution and strain hardening behaviour of the Mg-1Y and Mg-1Zn(wt%)alloys were investigated under room temperature compression.Microstructural characterization was performed by optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,electron back scattered diffraction and transmission electron microscopy.The experimental results show that Mg-1Zn alloy exhibits conventional three-stage strain hardening curves,while Mg-1Y alloy exhibits novel six-stage strain hardening curves.For Mg-1Y alloy,rare earth texture leads to weak tensile twinning activity in compression and consequently results in a moderate evolution to<0001>texture.Moreover,inefficient tensile twinning activity and weak slip-twinning interaction give rise to excellent ductility and high hardening capacity but low strain hardening rate.For Mg-1Zn alloy,basal texture leads to pronounced tensile twinning activity in compression and consequently results in rapid evolution to<0001>texture.The intense tensile twinning activity and strong slip-twinning interaction lead to high strain hardening rate but poor ductility and low hardening capacity. | HAN Xiuzhu XIAO Tao YU Zijian | 2023 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2023,38,2: | 0 |
