2Post-surgical resection prognostic value of combined OPN, MMP7, and PSG9 plasma biomarkers in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following curative resection are not currently sufficient for prognostic indication of overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS). The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic performance of osteopontin (OPN), matrix metalloproteinase 7 (MMP7), and pregnancy specific glycoprotein 9 (PSG9) in patients with HCC. A total of 179 prospective patients with HCC provided plasma before hepatectomy. Plasma OPN, MMP7, and PSG9 levels were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Correlations between plasma levels, clinical parameters, and outcomes (OS and DFS) were overall analyzed. High OPN (≥149.97 ng/mL), MMP7 (≥2.28 ng/mL), and PSG9 (≥45.59 ng/mL) were prognostic indicators of reduced OS (P<0.001, P<0.001, and P=0.007, respectively). Plasma PSG9 protein level was an independent factor in predicting OS (P=0.008) and DFS (P=0.038). Plasma OPN+MMP7+PSG9 elevation in combination was a prognostic factor for OS (P<0.001). OPN was demonstrated to be a risk factor-associated OS in stage I patients with HCC and patients with low α-fetoprotein levels (<20 ng/mL). 3Factors Controlling Hydrocarbon Accumulation in Jurassic Reservoirs in the Southwest Ordos Basin, NW China显示文摘The sedimentary, paleogeomorphological and reservoir characteristics of the Jurassic Yan’an Formation in the southwestern Ordos Basin, northwestern China, were studied by means of casting thin sections, scanning electron microscopy, inclusion analysis and identification of low-amplitude structures. A model for reservoir formation is established, and the controlling effects of sedimentary facies, paleotopography, low-amplitude structures and formation water on oil reservoirs are revealed. There are significant differences in the sedimentary characteristics, structural morphology and paleowater characteristics between the reservoirs above the Yan 10 Member and those in the Yan 9 to Yan 7 Members. The Yan 10 Member contains fluvial sediments, whereas the Yan 9 to Yan 7 members contain delta-plain anastomosing-river deposits. The distribution of high-permeability reservoir is controlled by pre-Jurassic paleogeomorphology and sedimentary facies. Some of these facies exhibit high porosity and high permeability in a lowpermeability background. The main hydrocarbon accumulation period was the late Early Cretaceous, filling was continuous, and the charging strength altered from weak to strong and then from strong to weak. The Yan 10 reservoir is mainly controlled by the paleogeomorphology: hydrocarbons migrated upward at a high speed through the unconformity surface, and accumulated in the favorable traps formed by paleogeomorphic structural units, such as gentle slopes or channel island. Furthermore, groundwater alternation in these areas was relatively stagnant, providing good reservoir preservation conditions. The reservoirs in the Yan 9 and higher members are controlled by the sedimentary facies, lowamplitude structure and paleowater characteristics. 6Classification of different walnut varieties using low-field nuclear magnetic resonance technology and cluster analysis显示文摘To classify different walnut varieties based on water and oil content of walnut,and determine their storage conditions,the low-field nuclear magnetic resonance(LFNMR)technology was used to obtain the NMR transverse relaxation time(T 2)of the samples based on the physical and chemical indicators of the walnut quality.The relationship between the relaxation time and phase state of the internal material of the sample was investigated,and the characteristic parameters of the NMR spectrum signals were statistically analyzed using cluster analysis to determine the different walnut varieties,and three different components,as well as their contents,were detected by a LFNMR spectrometer:firmly bound water,weakly bound water,and weakly bound oil.Test results indicated that the oil peak was dominant in the overall signal intensity compared to the water peaks,in which the firmly bound water phase contributed more to the overall water signal between the water peaks.Using the analytic hierarchy process of cluster analysis,21 walnut samples were classified into three different classes,based on the characteristic parameters of the water-content and oil-content spectrum signals.The first class contains four walnut varieties characterized by least water and highest oil contents;the third class contains two walnut varieties,with the highest water content and least oil content;whereas,the second class contains 15 walnut varieties,with both water and oil contents at medium levels.The results showed that LFNMR led to a rapid detection of moisture and oil contents in walnuts,while cluster analysis classified different walnuts varieties based on these parameters.This study also provided the basis for optimizing the storage methods and storage conditions of walnuts.Ping Song He Gao Baojun Zhao Aiguo Zhang Feng Liu 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:1

14Genetic diversity of RNA viruses infecting invertebrate pests of rice显示文摘Invertebrate species are a natural reservoir of viral genetic diversity,and invertebrate pests are widely distributed in crop fields.However,information on viruses infecting invertebrate pests of crops is limited.In this report,we describe the deep metatranscriptomic sequencing of 88 invertebrate samples covering all major invertebrate pests in rice fields.We identified 296 new RNA viruses and 13 known RNA viruses.These viruses clustered within 31 families,with many highly divergent viruses constituting potentially new families and genera.Of the identified viruses,13 RNA viruses clustered within the Fiersviridae family of bacteriophages,and 48 RNA viruses clustered within families and genera of mycoviruses.We detected known rice viruses in novel invertebrate hosts at high abundances.Furthermore,some novel RNA viruses have genome structures closely matching to known plant viruses and clustered within genera of several plant virus species.Fortyfive potential insect pathogenic RNA viruses were detected in invertebrate species.Our analysis revealed that host taxonomy plays a major role and geographical location plays an important role in structuring viral diversity.Cross-species transmission of RNA viruses was detected between invertebrate hosts.Newly identified viral genomes showed extensive variation for invertebrate viral families or genera.Together,the large-scale metatranscriptomic analysis greatly expands our understanding of RNA viruses in rice invertebrate species,the results provide valuable information for developing efficient strategies to manage insect pests and virus-mediated crop diseases.Haoran Wang Shufen Chao Qing Yan Shu Zhang Guoqing Chen Chonghui Mao Yang Hu Fengquan Yu Shuo Wang Liang Lv Baojun Yang Jiachun He Songbai Zhang Liangsheng Zhang Peter Simmonds Guozhong Feng 2024Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,1:0

16Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 17ROCK inhibitor:Focus on recent updates显示文摘Rho-associated coiled-coil-containing protein kinase(RoCK)belongs to the serine-threonine family,and RoCK is involved in a variety of biological processes including cell migration,adhesion,proliferation and differentiation through phosphorylation of different downstream substrates.The aberrant activation of ROCK is associated with the pathological conditions in different systems including various diseases,including cancer,neurological diseases,inflammation,cardiovascular diseases and glaucoma.Therefore,the ROCK inhibitors have potential applicability for treating the aforementioned diseases.Four small molecule ROCK inhibitors have been approved for clinical use:fasudil,ripasudil,netarsudil and belumosudil.In recent years,more small molecule ROCK inhibitors have been identified.This paper reviews the ROCK inhibitors reported in past seven years.We mainly focused on the summarization of the structure-activity relationships,inhibitory efficacy,pharmacological mechanisms and the relevant clinical studies of the reported ROCK inhibitors.Besides the small molecular inhibitors,the peptides and biological extracts which exhibit ROCK inhibitory effects are also included.We also provide suggestions for the future development of the potent ROCK inhibitors.Yaodong You Kun Zhu Jie Wang Qi Liang Wen Li Lin Wang Baojun Guo Jing Zhou Xuanlin Feng Jianyou Shi 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,12:0
18Characteristics and origin of continental marginal fault depressions under the background of preexisting subduction continental margin,northern South China Sea,China显示文摘Based on the new seismic and drilling data and the recent related research results,this paper systematically analyzes the diversity and complexity of evolution process of crustal lithosphere structure and basin structure in the Pearl River Mouth Basin on the northern margin of the South China Sea.Three types of detachment faults of different structural levels exist:crust-mantle detachment,inter-crust detachment and upper crust detachment.It is considered that different types of extensional detachment control different subbasin structures.Many fault depressions controlled by upper crust detachment faults have been found in the Zhu I Depression located in the proximal zone.These detachment faults are usually reformed by magma emplacement or controlled by preexisting faults.Baiyun-Liwan Sag located in the hyperextension area shows different characteristics of internal structure.The Baiyun main sag with relative weak magmatism transformation is a wide-deep fault depression,which is controlled by crust-mantle detachment system.Extensive magmatism occurred in the eastern and southwest fault steps of the Baiyun Sag after Middle Eocene,and the crust ductile extensional deformation resulted in wide-shallow fault depression controlled by the upper crust detachment fault.Based on the classical lithosphere extensional breaking and basin tectonic evolution in the Atlantic margin,it is believed that the magmatic activities and pre-existing structures in the Mesozoic subduction continental margin background are important controlling factors for the diversified continental margin faulted structures in the northern South China Sea.PANG Xiong ZHENG Jinyun MEI Lianfu LIU Baojun ZHANG Zhongtao WU Zhe Feng Xuan 2021Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,5:0
19Evaluation of the Predicted Particle Properties (P3) Microphysics Scheme in Simulations of Stratiform Clouds with Embedded Convection显示文摘To evaluate the ability of the Predicted Particle Properties(P3)scheme in the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model,we simulated a stratiform rainfall event over northern China on 22 May 2017.WRF simulations with two P3 versions,P3-nc and P3-2ice,were evaluated against rain gauge,radar,and aircraft observations.A series of sensitivity experiments were conducted with different collection efficiencies between ice and cloud droplets.The comparison of the precipitation evolution between P3-nc and P3-2ice suggested that both P3 versions overpredicted surface precipitation along the Taihang Mountains but underpredicted precipitation in the localized region on the leeward side.P3-2ice had slightly lower peak precipitation rates and smaller total precipitation amounts than P3-nc,which were closer to the observations.P3-2ice also more realistically reproduced the overall reflectivity structures than P3-nc.A comparison of ice concentrations with observations indicated that P3-nc underestimated aggregation,whereas P3-2ice produced more active aggregation from the self-collection of ice and ice-ice collisions between categories.Efficient aggregation in P3-2ice resulted in lower ice concentrations at heights between 4 and 6 km,which was closer to the observations.In this case,the total precipitation and precipitation pattern were not sensitive to riming.Riming was important in reproducing the location and strength of the embedded convective region through its impact on ice mass flux above the melting level.Tuanjie HOU Baojun CHEN Hengchi LEI Lei WEI Youjiang HE Qiujuan FENG 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,10:0
