Oral berberine improves brain dopa/dopamine levels to ameliorate Parkinson’s disease by regulating gut microbiota显示文摘The phenylalanine-tyrosine-dopa-dopamine pathway provides dopamine to the brain.Iin this process, tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)isthe rate-limiting enzyme that hydroxylates tyrosine and generates levodopa(L-dopa)with tetranydrobiopterin(BH_(4))as a coenzyme. Here,we show that oral berberine(BBR)might supply H^(·) through dihydroberberine(reduced BBR produced by bacterial nitroreductase)and promote the production of BHl from dihydrobiopterin;the increased BH,enhances TH activity, which accelerates the production of L-dopa by the gut bacteria.Oral BBR acts in a way similar to vitamins. The L-dopa produced by theintestinal bacteria enters the brain through the circulation and is transformed to dopamine. To verify the gut-brain dialog activatedby BBR's effect,Enterococcus foecalis or Enterococcus faecium was transplanted into Parkinson's disease(PD)mice. The bacteriasignificantly increased brain dopamine and ameliorated PD manifestation in mice;additionally, combination of BBR with bacteriashowed better therapeutic effect than that with bacteria alone.Moreover,2,4,6-trimethy-pyranylium tetrafluoroborate(TMP-TFB)-derivatized matrix-assisted laser desorption mass spectrometry(MALDI-MS)imaging of dopamine identihed elevated striataldopamine levels in mouse brains with oral Enterococcus, and BBR strengthened the imaging intensity of brain dopamine.Theseresults demonstrated that BBR was an agonist of TH in Enterococcus and could lead to the production of L-dopa in the gut.Furthermore,a study of 28 patients with hyperlipidemia conhrmed that oral BBR increased bloodfecal L-dopa by the intestinalbacteria.Hence,BBR might improve the brain function by upregulating the biosynthesis of-dopa in the gut microbiota through avitamin-like effect. | Yan Wang Qian Tong Shu-Rong Ma Zhen-Xiong Zhao Li-Bin Pan Lin Cong Pei Han Ran Peng Hang Yu Yuan Lin Tian-Le Gao Jia-Wen Shou Xiao-Yang Li Xian-Feng Zhang Zheng-Wei Zhang Jie Fu Bao-Ying Wen Jin-Bo Yu Xuetao Cao Jian-Dong Jiang | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3: | 16
Molecular chaperones and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy显示文摘Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE) is a disease that occurs when the brain is subjected to hypoxia, resulting in neuronal death and neurological deficits, with a poor prognosis. The mechanisms underlying hypoxic-ischemic brain injury include excitatory amino acid release, cellular proteolysis, reactive oxygen species generation, nitric oxide synthesis, and inflammation. The molecular and cellular changes in HIE include protein misfolding, aggregation, and destruction of organelles. The apoptotic pathways activated by ischemia and hypoxia include the mitochondrial pathway, the extrinsic Fas receptor pathway, and the endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced pathway.Numerous treatments for hypoxic-ischemic brain injury caused by HIE have been developed over the last half century.Hypothermia, xenon gas treatment, the use of melatonin and erythropoietin, and hypoxic-ischemic preconditioning have proven effective in HIE patients.Molecular chaperones are proteins ubiquitously present in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.A large number of molecular chaperones are induced after brain ischemia and hypoxia, among which the heat shock proteins are the most important.Heat shock proteins not only maintain protein homeostasis; they also exert anti-apoptotic effects.Heat shock proteins maintain protein homeostasis by helping to transport proteins to their target destinations, assisting in the proper folding of newly synthesized polypeptides, regulating the degradation of misfolded proteins, inhibiting the aggregation of proteins, and by controlling the refolding of misfolded proteins. In addition, heat shock proteins exert anti-apoptotic effects by interacting with various signaling pathways to block the activation of downstream effectors in numerous apoptotic pathways, including the intrinsic pathway, the endoplasmic reticulum-stress mediated pathway and the extrinsic Fas receptor pathway.Molecular chaperones play a key role in neuroprotection in HIE.In this review,we provide an overview of the mechanisms of HIE and discuss the various treatment strategies.Given their critical role in the disease, molecular chaperones are promising therapeutic targets for HIE. | Cong Hua Wei-na Ju Hang Jin Xin Sun Gang Zhao | 2017 | Neural Regeneration Research2017,12,1: | 15
Direct coordination of metal ions to cucurbit[n]urils显示文摘Cucurbit[n]urils (Q[n]) are promising ligands for the coordination of metal ions, metal complexes or clusters, and form various Q[n]-based complexes. Among the Q[n] complexes, those formed by direct coordination between Q[n]s and metal ions are particularly important. The direct coordination of metal ions to cucurbit[n]urils leads to the formation of Q[n]-based molecular capsules, tubular polymers and molecular bracelets, which could have nanoscale applications in drug delivery, molecular devices and new materials. | CONG Hang ZHU QianJiang XUE SaiFeng TAO Zhu WEI Gang | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,32: | 7
Two case reports and literature review for hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma: Pitfall of misdiagnosis显示文摘BACKGROUND Hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma(HEAML) is a rare liver disease and is easily misdiagnosed. Enhanced recognition of HEAML is beneficial to the differential diagnosis of rare liver diseases.CASE SUMMARY We presented two cases of HEAML in Changzheng Hospital, Naval Medical University, and then collected and analyzed all reports about HEAML recorded in PubMed, MEDLINE, China Science Periodical Database, and VIP database from January 2000 to March 2018. A total of 409 cases of HEAML in 97 reports were collected, with a ratio of men to women of 1:4.84 and an age range from 12 years to 80 years(median 44 years). Among the patients with clinical symptoms mentioned, 61.93%(205/331) were asymptomatic, 34.74%(115/331) showed upper or right upper quadrant abdomen discomfort, while a few of them showed abdominal mass, gastrointestinal symptoms, low fever, or weight loss. The misdiagnosis rate of HEAML was as high as 40.34%(165/409) due to its nonspecific imaging findings. Most of the tumors were solitary and round in morphology, with clear boundaries. Ultrasound scan indicated low echo with internal nonuniformity and rich blood supply in most cases. Computer tomography/magnetic resonance imaging enhanced scan showed varied characteristics. The ratio of fast wash-in and fast wash-out, fast wash-in and slow wash-out, and delayed enhancement was roughly 4:5:1. A definite diagnosis of HEAML depended on the pathological findings of the epithelioid cells in lesions and the expression of human melanoma black 45, smooth muscle actin, melanoma antigen, and actin by immunohistochemical staining. HEAML had a relatively low malignant rate of 3.91%. However, surgical resection was the main treatment for HEAML, due to the difficulty diagnosing before operation.CONCLUSION HEAML is a rare and easily misdiagnosed disease, and it should be diagnosed carefully, taking into account clinical course, imaging, pathological, and immunohistochemical findings. | Jia-Xi Mao Fei Teng Cong Liu Hang Yuan Ke-Yan Sun You Zou Jia-Yong Dong Jun-Song Ji Jun-Feng Dong Hong Fu Guo-Shan Ding Wen-Yuan Guo | 2019 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2019,7,8: | 6
Berberine treats atherosclerosis via a vitamine-like effect downregulating Choline-TMA-TMAO production pathway in gut microbiota显示文摘Trimethylamine-N-oxide(TMAO)derived from the gut microbiota is an atherogenic metabolite. This study investigates whether or not berberine(BBR)could reduce TMAO production in the gut microbiota and treat atherosclerosis.Effects of BBR on TMAO production in the gut microbiota,as well as on plaque development in atherosclerosis were investigated in the culture of animal intestinal bacterial,HFD-fed animals and atherosclerotic patients, respectively. We found that oral BBR in animals lowers TMAO biosynthesis in intestine through interacting with the enzyme/co-enzyme of choline-trimethylamine lyase(CutC)and flavincontaining monooxygenase(FMO)in the gut microbiota. This action was performed by BBR’s metabolite dihydroberberine(a reductive BBR by nitroreductase in the gut microbiota),via a vitamine-like effect down-regulating Choline-TMA-TMAO production pathway.Oral BBR decreased TMAO production in animal intestine, lowered blood TMAO and interrupted plaque formation in blood vessels in the HFD-fed hamsters.Moreover,21 patients with atherosclerosis exhibited the average decrease of plaque score by 3.2%after oral BBR(0.5 g,bid)for 4 months(^(*)P<0.05,n=21);whereas the plaque score in patients treated with rosuvastatin plus aspirin,or clopidogrel sulfate or ticagrelor(4 months,n=12)increased by 1.9%.TMA and TMAO in patients decreased by 38 and 29%in faeces(^(*)P<0.05;^(*)P<0.05),and 37 and 35%in plasma(^(***)P<0.001;^(*)P<0.05),after 4 months on BBR.BBR might treat atherosclerotic plaque at least partially through decreasing TMAO in a mode of action similar to that of vitamins. | Shu-Rong Ma Qian Tong Yuan Lin Li-Bin Pan Jie Fu Ran Peng Xian-Feng Zhang Zhen-Xiong Zhao Yang Li Jin-Bo Yu Lin Cong Pei Han Zheng-Wei Zhang Hang Yu Yan Wang Jian-Dong Jiang | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8: | 6
Nitrous Oxide Emissions from a Masson Pine Forest Soil in Subtropical Central China显示文摘The forest ecosystem plays a pivotal role in contributing greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. In order to characterize the temporal pattern of nitrous oxide(N_2O) emissions and identify the key factors affecting N_2O emissions from a Masson pine forest in a hilly red-soil region in subtropical central China,we measured the N_2O emissions in Jinjing of Hunan Province using the static chambergas chromatographic method for 3 years(2010-2012) and analyzed the relationships between the N_2O fluxes and the environmental variables. Our results revealed that the N_2O fluxes over the 3 years varied from-36.0 to 296.7 μg N m^(-2) h^(-1),averaging 18.4±5.6 μg N m^(-2) h^(-1)(n=3).The average annual N_2O emissions were estimated to be 1.6±0.3 kg N ha^(-1) year^(-1).The N_2O fluxes exhibited clear intra-annual(seasonal) variations as they were higher in summers and lower in winters.Compared with other forest observations in the subtropics,N_2O emissions at our site were relatively high, possibly due to the high local dry/wet N deposition, and were mostly sensitive to variations in precipitation and soil ammonium N content. In this work,a multiple linear regression model was developed to determine the influence of environmental factors on N_2O emissions,in which a category predictor of 'Season' was intentionally used to account for the seasonal variation of the N_2O fluxes.Such a model explained almost 40%of the total variation in daily N_2O emissions from the Masson pine forest soil studied(P<0.001). | CHEN Dan FU Xiao-Qing WANG Cong LIU Xin-Liang LI Hang SHEN Jian-Lin WANG Yi LI Yong WU Jin-Shui | 2015 | Pedosphere2015,25,2: | 3

Transformation of berberine to its demethylated metabolites by the CYP51 enzyme in the gut microbiota显示文摘Berberine(BBR)is an isoquinoline alkaloid extracted from Coptis chinensis that improves diabetes, hyperlipidemia and inflammation.Due to the low oral bioavailability of BBR,its mechanism of action is closely related to the gut microbiota. This study focused on the CYP51 enzyme of intestinal bacteria to elucidate a new mechanism of BBR transformation by demethylation in the gut microbiota through multiple analytical techniques.First, the docking of BBR and CYP51 was performed;then, the pharmacokinetics of BBR was determined in ICR mice in vivo, and the metabolism of BBR in the liver, kidney, gut microbiota and single bacterial strains was examined in vitro.Moreover,16S rRNA analysis of ICR mouse feces indicated the relationship between BBR and the gut microbiota. Finally, recombinant E.coli containing cyp51 gene was constructed and the CYP51 enzyme lysate was induced to express. The metabolic characteristics of BBR were analyzed in the CYP51 enzyme lysate system. The results showed that CYP51 in the gut microbiota could bind stably with BBR,and the addition of voriconazole(a specific inhibitor of CYP51)slowed down the metabolism of BBR,which prevented the production of the demethylated metabolites thalifendine and berberrubine. This study demonstrated that CYP51 promoted the demethylation of BBR and enhanced its intestinal absorption, providing a new method for studying the metabolic transformation mechanism of isoquinoline alkaloids in vivo. | Zheng-Wei Zhang Lin Cong Ran Peng Pei Han Shu-Rong Ma Li-Bin Pan Jie Fu Hang Yu Yan Wang Jian-Dong Jiang | 2021 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,5: | 2
Origin area and migration route: Chloroplast DNA diversity in the arctic-alpine plant Koenigia islandica显示文摘The Hengduan Mountains(henceforth H-D Mountains) on the Tibet Plateau are a distribution and diversity center for many alpine genera. We examine patterns of genetic variation in an arctic-alpine plant to evaluate the possibility that the H-D Mountains constitute the area of origin of the species as well as to uncover postglacial migration routes. 220 individuals of the arctic-alpine plant Koenigia islandica were sampled from 26 populations distributed in western China and northern Finland. DNA haplotypes were identified using restriction site analysis of two chloroplast DNA intergene spacer regions, atpB-rbcL and trnL-trnF. We examined the geographical distribution of haplotype diversity in relation to latitude, and also compared various indices of diversity in putatively glaciated and unglaciated regions. Patterns of migration were inferred using nested clade analysis. A total of 25 haplotypes were detected. High haplotype diversity was found in the H-D Mountains. H3 and its radiated haplotypes were distributed in the Himalayas. Two haplotypes were fixed concurrently in the H-D Mountains and northern Finland. High genetic diversity of K. islandica and high species diversity of K. islandica are expected in the origin area. Our observations suggest that the H-D Mountains are not only the place of origin of K. islandica, but also the refugia for K. islandica on the Tibet Plateau. What is more, the migration route for the arctic-alpine plant K. islandica must have originated in the region defined by the H-D Mountains in western China extending northward to the Arctic circumpolar, and moved westward along the Himalayas, then northward across the Altay Mountains and the Central Siberian Plateau at different time periods. | LONG Cong MIN YunJiang ZHAO XiuXia YANY ChunLei SUN Hang Lü HouYuan TANG LingYu ZHOU ZhongZe | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,8: | 2
Carbon nanotubes-incorporated MIL-88B-Fe as highly efficient Fenton-like catalyst for degradation of organic pollutants显示文摘Iron-based metal organic frameworks have been verified to be efficient heterogeneous Fenton catalysts due to their open pore channels and highly uniform distribution of metallic centers. In these catalysts, however, the iron element is mainly in the form of Fe(III),which results in a process required to reduce Fe(III)to Fe(II)to initiate Fenton reaction. To address this problem, carbon nanotubes(CNTs)with electron-rich oxygen-functional groups on the surface were incorporated into the metal organic frameworks(MIL-88B-Fe)to improve Fe(II)content for an enhanced Fenton-like performance. The prepared CNT@MIL-88B-Fe(C@M)showed much stronger catalytic ability toward H2O2 than MIL-88B-Fe.The pseudo-first-order kinetic constant for phenol degradation by C@M(0.32 min–1)was about 7 times that of MIL-88B-Fe,and even higher than or comparable to the values of reported heterogeneous Fenton-like catalysts. Moreover, the Fenton-like system could effectively degrade various kinds of refractory organic pollutants and exhibited excellent catalytic activity over a wide pH range(4–9).XPS analysis confirmed that Fe(II)content of the catalyst gradually increased with CNT loadings.Electron spin resonance analysis showed that the signal intensity(?OH)of C@M was much higher than MIL-88B-Fe,which was consistent with the degradation efficiency of pollutants.Furthermore, the Fe(II)content of the catalyst gradually increased along with the oxygen-functional group content of CNTs.The result demonstrated that oxygen-containing functional groups of CNTs have a significant impact on the enhanced catalytic performance of C@M.This study provides a new insight to enhance Fenton reaction by using nanocarbon materials. | Hang Zhang Shuo Chen Haiguang Zhang Xinfei Fan Cong Gao Hongtao Yu Xie Quan | 2019 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,2: | 2
Effects of dietary vitamin K_(3) levels on growth, coagulation, calcium content, and antioxidant capacity in largemouth bass,Micropterus salmoides显示文摘An 8-week feeding trial investigated the optimum dietary vitamin K3 requirements of largemouth bass.A total of 600 healthy fish(12.96±0.07 g)were fed diets containing varying levels of vitamin K3 at 0.78(K0),5.80(K5),10.82(K10),15.84(K15),and 20.85(K20)mg/kg with four replicates per level. Results showed that dietary vitamin K3 enhanced growth, with weight gain rate and specific growth rate in K15 trials significantly higher than K0 trials(P<0.05).No significant difference was observed in the content of crude protein, crude lipid, moisture, ash, and phosphorus in muscle tissue(P>0.05).However,the supplementation of vitamin K3 significantly contributed to calcium accumulation in muscle tissues and vertebrae(P<0.05)and increased red blood cell counts(P<0.05).The blood coagulation time decreased significantly with increasing dietary vitamin K3 from 0.78 to 10.82 mg/kg(P<0.05)before stabilizing(P>0.05).The antioxidant capacity was improved with the addition of vitamin K3,which was inconsistent with the changes in malondialdehyde and MK-4(a form of menaquinone)within liver and serum, suggesting that the toxicity of excessive artificial vitamin K3 may account for this difference.Using regression analysis, the appropriate dietary vitamin K3 levels within a largemouth bass diet was determined to be in the range of 9.93-15.22 mg/kg,which will provide a reference for the preparation of vitamin premix and artificial diet for largemouth bass. | Xiang Wei Ying Hang Xiang Li Xueming Hua Xiangming Cong Wanting Yi Xu Guo | 2023 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2023,8,2: | 1
Intra-host Ebola viral adaption during human infection显示文摘The onsite next generation sequencing(NGS)of Ebola virus(EBOV)genomes during the 2013–2016 Ebola epidemic in Western Africa provides an opportunity to trace the origin, transmission, and evolution of this virus.Herein,we have diagnosed a cohort of EBOV patients in Sierra Leone in 2015,during the late phase of the outbreak. The surviving EBOV patients had a recovery process characterized by decreasing viremia, fever, and biochemical parameters.EBOV genomes sequenced through the longitudinal blood samples of these patients showed dynamic intra-host substitutions of the virus during acute infection, including the previously described short stretches of 13 serial TNC mutations.Remarkably, within individual patients, samples collected during the early phase of infection possessed Ts at these nucleotide sites, whereas they were replaced by Cs in samples collected in the later phase, suggesting that these short stretches of TNC mutations could emerge independently. In addition,up to a total of 35 nucleotide sites spanning the EBOV genome were mutated coincidently. Our study showed the dynamic intra-host adaptation of EBOV during patient recovery and gave more insight into the complex EBOV-host interactions. | William JLiu Weifeng Shi Wuyang Zhu Cong Jin Shumei Zou Ji Wang Yuehua Ke Xiaofeng Li Mi Liu Tao Hu Hang Fan Yigang Tong Xiang Zhao Wenbin Chen Yuhui Zhao Di Liu Gary Wong Chengchao Chen Chunyu Geng Weiwei Xie Hui Jiang Idrissa Laybor Kamara Abdul Kamara Matt Lebby Brima Kargbo Xiangguo Qiu Yu Wang Xiaofeng Liang Mifang Liang Xiaoping Dong Guizhen Wu George F.Gao Yuelong Shu | 2019 | Biosafety and Health2019,1,1: | 1

Multi-Omics Analysis Provides Insight into the Possible Molecular Mechanism of Hay Fever Based on Gut Microbiota显示文摘Due to the worldwide epidemic of allergic disease and a cure nowhere in sight, there is a crucial need to explore its pathophysiological mechanisms. As allergic disease has been associated with gut dysbiosis,we searched for a possible mechanism from the perspective of the molecular interface between host and microbiota with concurrent metabolomics and microbiome composition analysis.Sprague-Dawley rats were injected with Artemisia pollen extract to stimulate a hyper reaction to pollen. This hyper reaction decreased the circulation of valine,isoleucine,aspartate,glutamate,glutamine,indole-propionate(IPA),and myo-inositol,and reduced short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)in feces.Several beneficial genera belonging to Ruminococcaceae,Lachnospiraceae, and Clostridiales declined in the model group, whereas Helicobacter and Akkermansia were only expressed in the model group.Furthermore, the expression of intestinal claudin-3 and liver fatty acid binding protein was downregulated in the model group and associated with metabolic changes and bacteria. Our results suggest that alterations in amino acids as well as their derivatives(especially valine, and IPA which is the reductive product of tryptophan),SCFAs,and the gut microbiome(specifically Akkermansia and Helicobacter)may disrupt the intestinal barrier function by inhibiting the expression of claudin proteins and affecting the mucus layer, which further results in hay fever. | Pei Han Li-Sha Li Zi-Xi Wang Lin Xi Hang Yu Lin Cong Zheng-Wei Zhang Jie Fu Ran Peng Li-Bin Pan Shu-Rong Ma Xue-Yan Wang Hong-Tian Wang Xiang-Dong Wang Yan Wang Jin-Lyu Sun Jian-Dong Jiang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,8: | 1

Highly Stable Nonhydroxyl Antisolvent Polymer Dielectric:A New Strategy towards High-Performance Low-Temperature Solution-Processed Ultraflexible Organic Transistors for Skin-Inspired Electronics显示文摘Scarcity of the antisolvent polymer dielectrics and their poor stability have significantly prevented solution-processed ultraflexible organic transistors from low-temperature,large-scale production for applications in low-cost skin-inspired electronics. Here,we present a novel low-temperature solution-processed PEI-EP polymer dielectric with dramatically enhanced thermal stability, humidity stability, and frequency stability compared with the conventional PVA/c-PVA and c-PVP dielectrics,by incorporating polyethyleneimine PEI as crosslinking sites in nonhydroxyl epoxy EP.The PEI-EP dielectric requires a very low process temperature as low as 70℃ and simultaneously possesses the high initial decomposition temperature(340℃)and glass transition temperature(230℃),humidity-resistant dielectric properties, and frequency-independent capacitance.Integrated into the solution-processed C8-BTBT thin-film transistors, the PEI-EP dielectric enables the device stable operation in air within 2 months and in high-humidity environment from 20 to 100%without significant performance degradation. The PEI-EP dielectric transistor array also presents weak hysteresis transfer characteristics, excellent electrical performance with 100%operation rate, high mobility up to 7.98 cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1)(1 Hz)and average mobility as high as 5.3 cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1)(1 Hz),excellent flexibility with the normal operation at the bending radius down to 0.003 mm,and foldable and crumpling-resistant capability. These results reveal the great potential of PEI-EP polymer as dielectric of low-temperature solution-processed ultraflexible organic transistors and open a new strategy for the development and applications of next-generation low-cost skin electronics. | Mingxin Zhang Cong Zhang Yahan Yang Hang Ren Junmo Zhang Xiaoli Zhao Yanhong Tong Qingxin Tang Yichun Liu | 2021 | Research2021,,1: | 0
Neural Machine Translation by Fusing Key Information of Text显示文摘When the Transformer proposed by Google in 2017,it was first used for machine translation tasks and achieved the state of the art at that time.Although the current neural machine translation model can generate high quality translation results, there are still mistranslations and omissions in the translation of key information of long sentences. On the other hand, the most important part in traditional translation tasks is the translation of key information. In the translation results,as long as the key information is translated accurately and completely, even if other parts of the results are translated incorrect, the final translation results’quality can still be guaranteed. In order to solve the problem of mistranslation and missed translation effectively, and improve the accuracy and completeness of long sentence translation in machine translation, this paper proposes a key information fused neural machine translation model based on Transformer. The model proposed in this paper extracts the keywords of the source language text separately as the input of the encoder. After the same encoding as the source language text,it is fused with the output of the source language text encoded by the encoder, then the key information is processed and input into the decoder. With incorporating keyword information from the source language sentence, the model’s performance in the task of translating long sentences is very reliable. In order to verify the effectiveness of the method of fusion of key information proposed in this paper,a series of experiments were carried out on the verification set.The experimental results show that the Bilingual Evaluation Understudy(BLEU)score of the model proposed in this paper on theWorkshop on Machine Translation(WMT)2017 test dataset is higher than the BLEU score of Transformer proposed by Google on the WMT2017 test dataset. The experimental results show the advantages of the model proposed in this paper. | Shijie Hu Xiaoyu Li Jiayu Bai Hang Lei Weizhong Qian Sunqiang Hu Cong Zhang Akpatsa Samuel Kofi Qian Qiu Yong Zhou Shan Yang | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,2: | 0

| 20 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.
