3Applications of membrane distillation technology in energy transformation process-basis and prospect显示文摘Membrane distillation technology is a new type of efficient separation technology that combines traditional distillation technology and membrane separation technology. In the study, applications of membrane distillation technology in thermal engineering and refrigerating engineering with typical energy transformation process were presented. Desorption and regeneration process of saline solution by vacuum membrane distillation was proposed on the basis of the concentration and separation properties of membrane distillation. Membrane distillation technology could be used in lithium bromide absorption refrigeration system, energy storage system, and the regeneration process of liquid desiccant solution in temperature-humidity independent control air-conditioning system. The aim of the applications was to use the low-grade energy such as waste heat, solar energy and geothermal energy adequately and to improve the available temperature difference of heat source. According to latent heat transfer and thermal conduction across the membrane in direct contact membrane distillation process, a novel membrane heat exchanger with both heat transfer and mass transfer processes was proposed. The heat exchanger could be used as the solution heat exchanger of lithium bromide absorption refrigeration system and as the special heat exchanger that recovered heat and pure water simultaneously. Some feasible process flows about the applications of membrane distillation technology to energy transformation process were listed and analyzed. 4The First Two Imported Cases of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant—Tianjin Municipality,China,December 13,2021显示文摘On December 9,2021,2 international passengers arrived in Tianjin Binhai International Airport from Warsaw,Poland via airplane and tested positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),which causes coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),using nucleic acid tests.The first case(Patient A)was a flight crew member,a 35-year-old male,who had returned to Warsaw on the same flight on December 10,2021.The second case(Patient B)was a 17-year-old female student,who has been transferred to Haihe Hospital for isolation.Both cases are Polish nationality that had recently lived in Warsaw,Poland.According to the investigation,neither patient had disease symptoms nor medication history.Patient B received the Pfizer/BNT162b2 vaccine on September 27,2021.Patient A was vaccinated on May 25,2021,but no further vaccine information was collected as Patient A had left China.No other infections from this flight have been detected.Zhaolin Tan Zhixiao Chen Aiping Yu Xiaoyan Li Yenan Feng Xiang Zhao Wenbo Xu Xu Su 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,4:5
5Novel wavelet neural network algorithm for continuous and noninvasive dynamic estimation of blood pressure from photoplethysmography显示文摘This paper proposes a novel wavelet neural network algorithm for the continuous and noninvasive dynamic estimation of blood pressure(BP). Unlike prior algorithms, the proposed algorithm capitalizes on the correlation between photoplethysmography(PPG) and BP. Complete BP waveforms are reconstructed based on PPG signals to extract systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP). To improve the robustness, Daubechies wavelet is implemented as the hidden layer node function for the neural network. An optimized neural network structure is proposed to reduce the computational complexity. Further, this paper investigates an inhomogeneous resilient backpropagation(IRBP) algorithm to calculate the weight of hidden layer nodes. The IRBP improves the convergence speed and reconstruction accuracy. Multiparameter intelligent monitoring in Intensive Care(MIMIC) databases, which contain a variety of physiological parameters captured from patient monitors, are used to validate this algorithm. The standard deviation σ between reconstructed and actual BP signals is 4.4797 mm Hg, which satisfies the American National Standards of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. 6Methods for large reciprocating compressor capacity control: A review based on pulse signal concept显示文摘Large reciprocating compressors are important equipment used in a wide range of process industries. Most of these compressors have huge power requirements and their capacity often needs to be regulated. Advanced technologies in compressor capacity control are effective approaches for saving large amounts of energy in process industries. This paper reviews the basic theories and the state of the art of the capacity control technologies. In particular, a compressor working procedure is first presented using an analogy to the pulse signal concept. Compressor capacity control methods are classified into pulse frequency modulation and pulse amplitude modulation from a perspective of pulse signal processing. The mechanisms and feasibility of some important methods, including dead volume variable control, partial-stroke and full-stroke suction valve opening, are reviewed. Based on the pulse signal concept, a duty cycle regulation method for capacity control is introduced, and the performance and implementation of the new method are compared with those of the existing suction valve opening methods. The duty cycle regulation method has integrated advantages over the other methods in terms of regulating precision, pressure stability, energy saving and reliability. All the suction valve opening methods can cause gas reflux, resulting in the so-called breathing effect. 7Effects and mechanism of freeze-thawing cycles on the soil N2O fluxes in the temperate semi-arid steppe显示文摘High nitrous oxide(N2O) emissions during freeze-thawing period(FTP) have been observed in many different ecosystems. However, the knowledge about the dynamic of soil N_2O emissions and its main driving mechanism during the freeze-thawing processes in grassland ecosystem is still limited. An in-situ experiment was conducted during the FTP on the sites with 0 and 15% surplus of the average rainfall and two levels of N addition(0,10 g N/(m^2·year)) during growing season(marked as W0N0, W15N0, W0N10, W15N10, respectively) to explore the effects of water and N background on soil N_2O emissions during FTPs and the relationship between soil N_2O emissions and environmental factors. The results indicated that water and N treatments conducted during growing season did not show significant effect on the N_2O effluxes of FTP, but the soil mineral N contents of W0N10 treatment were significantly higher than those of W0N0, W15N0, W15N10treatments(p < 0.05). The soil PLFA concentrations of microbial groups monitored during 2015 spring freeze-thawing period(2015S-FTP) were lower than those during winter freeze-thawing period of 2014(2014W-FTP), while cumulative soil N_2O emissions of 2015S-FTP were higher than those of 2014W-FTP. 8Rational structure design to realize high-performance SiOx@C anode material for lithium ion batteries显示文摘Silicon suboxide(SiOx)is considered to be one of the most promising materials for next-generation anode due to its high energy density.For its preparation,the wet-chemistry method is a cost-effective and readily scalable route,while the so-derived SiOx usually shows lower capacity compared with that prepared by high temperature-vacuum evaporation route.Herein,we present an elaborate particle structure design to realize the wet-chemistry preparation of a high-performance SiOx/C nanocomposite.Dandelion-like highly porous SiOx particle coated with conformal carbon layer is designed and prepared.The highly-porous SiOx skeleton provides plenty specific surface for intimate contact with carbon layer to allow a deep reduction of SiOx to a low O/Si ratio at relatively low temperature(700℃),enabling a high specific capacity.The abundant mesoscale voids effectively accommodate the volume variation of SiOx skeleton,ensuring the high structural stability of SiOx@C during lithiation/delithiation process.Meanwhile,the three-dimensional(3D)conformal carbon layer provides a fast electron/ion transportation,allowing an enhanced electrodereaction kinetics.Owing to the optimized O/Si ratio and well-engineered structure,the prepared SiOx@C electrode delivers an ultra-high capacity(1,115.8 mAh·g^-1 at 0.1 A·g^-1 after 200 cycles)and ultra-long lifespan(635 mAh·g^-1 at 2 A·g^-l after 1,000 cycles).To the best of our knowledge,the achieved combination of ultra-high specific capacity and ultra-long cycling life is unprecedented.Zhaolin Li Hailei Zhao Jie Wang Tianhou Zhang Boyang Fu Zijia Zhang Xin Tao 2020Nano Research2020,13,2:3
9Effects of root dominate over aboveground litter on soil microbial biomass in global forest ecosystems显示文摘Background:Inputs of above-and belowground litter into forest soils are changing at an unprecedented rate due to continuing human disturbances and climate change.Microorganisms drive the soil carbon(C)cycle,but the roles of above-and belowground litter in regulating the soil microbial community have not been evaluated at a global scale.Methods:Here,we conducted a meta-analysis based on 68 aboveground litter removal and root exclusion studies across forest ecosystems to quantify the roles of above-and belowground litter on soil microbial community and compare their relative importance.Results:Aboveground litter removal significantly declined soil microbial biomass by 4.9%but root exclusion inhibited it stronger,up to 11.7%.Moreover,the aboveground litter removal significantly raised fungi by 10.1%without altering bacteria,leading to a 46.7%increase in the fungi-to-bacteria(F/B)ratio.Differently,root exclusion significantly decreased the fungi by 26.2%but increased the bacteria by 5.7%,causing a 13.3%decrease in the F/B ratio.Specifically,root exclusion significantly inhibited arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi,ectomycorrhizal fungi,and actinomycetes by 22.9%,43.8%,and 7.9%,respectively.The negative effects of aboveground litter removal on microbial biomass increased with mean annual temperature and precipitation,whereas that of root exclusion on microbial biomass did not change with climatic factors but amplified with treatment duration.More importantly,greater effects of root exclusion on microbial biomass than aboveground litter removal were consistent across diverse forest biomes(expect boreal forests)and durations.Conclusions:These data provide a global evidence that root litter inputs exert a larger control on microbial biomass than aboveground litter inputs in forest ecosystems.Our study also highlights that changes in above-and belowground litter inputs could alter soil C stability differently by shifting the microbial community structure in the opposite direction.These findings are useful for predicting microbe-mediated C processes in response to changes in forest management or climate.Yanli Jing Peng Tian Qingkui Wang Weibin Li Zhaolin Sun Hong Yang 2021Forest Ecosystems2021,8,3:2

11Surfactant-assisted fabrication of graphene frameworks endowing epoxy composites with superior thermal conductivity显示文摘With the rapid growth in electronic device performance,there has been an increasing demand for thermally conductive polymer composites to handle the thermal management issue,thus contributing to the great importance to develop the graphene framework,which is evaluated as the most promising reinforcements for enhancing the thermal conductivity of polymer.Vacuum filtration is a common method to fabricate graphene framework,whereas,it is available to prepare a framework with centimeter-scale thickness by filtrating the graphene-water dispersion,due to the fact of sample cracking caused by the mismatch of surface tension between graphene and water.In this work,a surfactantassisted strategy was proposed by adjusting the surface tension of the water close to that of graphene first,then performing a conventional filtration process,to fabricate graphene framework.As a result,a thick graphene framework(thickness:3 cm)was successfully prepared,and after embedding into epoxy,the framework endows the composite(13.6 wt%)with a high in-plane thermal conductivities of12.4 W/mK,which is equivalent to≈64 times higher than that of neat epoxy.Our method is simple and compatible with the conventional filtration process,suggesting great potential for the mass-production of graphene framework to meet the practical application requirements.Fan Zhang Chen Ye Wen Dai Le Lv Qilong Yuan Kuan W.A.Chee Ke Yang Nan Jiang Cheng-Te Lin Zhaolin Zhan Dan Dai He Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,1:2
12Screening,identification and antagonistic effect of antagonistic bacteria JTFM1001 against aflatoxin contamination in corn显示文摘Aflatoxin is a strong carcinogenic and toxic fungal toxin produced by Aspergillus flavus and other Aspergillus species,and can seriously threaten the health of consumers,thus becoming a global concern.Corn,as an important oil and economic crop,is highly susceptible contaminated by aflatoxin.In this study,antagonistic bacteria with strong inhibitory effect on aflatoxin were screened to provide support for the treatment aflatoxin contamination control in corn.Ten strains which have strong antagonistic effects against A.flavus were isolated from healthy corn from different corn producing areas in China.Among them,the antagonistic bacteria JTFM1001 through corn kernels in vivo and field experiment,the inhibition effect of aflatoxin contamination reached above 70%and 55%,respectively.And the strain was identified as Bacillus subtilis based on its morphological,physiological and biochemical characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of 16S rDNA.In addition,our data showed that it can colonize in the rhizosphere and survive for a long time,forming the dominant flora,with broad application prospect.Finally,we were surprised to find that the antibacterial metabolites secreted by the antagonistic bacteria was one of the mechanisms of its inhibition of A.flavus and aflatoxin.This will provide us with new ideas and perspectives on the effective prevention and control of aflatoxin contamination in corn and corn oil.Jing Zhang Yu Wang Zhaolin Du Dasong Lin Lili Huo Li Qin Wei Wang Liwen Qiang Yanpo Yao Yi An 2021Oil Crop Science2021,6,1:2
13High quality p-type ZnO film growth by a simple method and its properties显示文摘P-type ZnO:N films have been grown successfully by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) using Zn4(OH)2(O2CCH3)6·2H2O as the solid source material and ZnNO3 as the doping source material. XPS, Hall-effect measurement and PL spectra were employed to analyze the structural, electrical and optical properties and study the influence of substrate temperature on the film. Results showed that with a lower substrate temperature, the film exhibited p-type conduction and its resistivity decreased when the substrate temperature increased. When the substrates temperature was 400℃, p-type ZnO films were obtained with carrier concentration of +5.127×1017 cm?3, resistivity of 0.04706 ?·cm and Hall mobility of 259 cm2/(V·s); they still exhibited p-type conduction after a month. 14Gradient based restoration of coal mine images obtained by underground wireless transmissions显示文摘Curvature-driven diffusion (CDD) principles were used to develop a novel gradient based image restora- tion algorithm. The algorithm fills in blocks of missing data in a wireless image after transmission through the network. When images are transmitted over fading channels, especially in the severe circum- stances of a coal mine, blocks of the image may be destroyed by the effects of noise. Instead of using com- mon retransmission query protocols the lost data is reconstructed by using the adaptive curvature-driven diffusion (ACDD) image restoration algorithm in the gradient domain of the destroyed image. Missing blocks are restored by the method in two steps: In step one, the missing blocks are filled in the gradient domain by the ACDD algorithm; in step two, and the image is reconstructed from the reformed gradients by solving a Poisson equation. The proposed method eliminates the staircase effect and accelerates the convergence rate. 16Low-loading gold in situ doped with sulfur by biomolecule-assisted approach for promoted electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction显示文摘For electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction(CO_(2)RR),CO_(2)-to-CO conversion is considered an ideal route towards carbon neutrality for practical applications.Gold(Au)is known as a promising catalyst with high selectivity for CO;however,it suffers from high cost and low mass-specific activity.In this study,we design and prepare a catalyst featuring uniform S-doped Au nanoparticles on N-doped carbon support(denoted as S-Au/NC)by an in situ synthesis strategy using biomolecules.The S-Au/NC displays high activity and selectivity for CO in CO_(2)RR with a Au loading as low as 0.4 wt.%.The Faradaic efficiency of CO(FECO)for S-Au/NC is above 95%at−0.75 V(vs.RHE);by contrast,the FECO of Au/NC(without S)is only 58%.The Tafel slope is 77.4 mV·dec−1,revealing a favorable kinetics process.Furthermore,S-Au/NC exhibits an excellent long-term stability for CO_(2)RR.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the S dopant can boost the activity by reducing the free energy change of the potential-limiting step(formation of the*COOH intermediate).This work not only demonstrates a model catalyst featuring significantly reduced use of noble metals,but also establishes an in situ synthesis strategy for preparing high-performance catalysts.Meijie Tan Xiaoqian Han Sen Ru Chao Zhang Zhouru Ji Zhaolin Shi Guomeng Qiao Yunying Wang Ruixue Cui Qiquan Luo Jiqing Jiao Yaguang Li Tongbu Lu 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:1

20Continuous-Time Prediction of Industrial Paste Thickener System With Differential ODE-Net显示文摘It is crucial to predict the outputs of a thickening system,including the underflow concentration(UC)and mud pressure,for optimal control of the process.The proliferation of industrial sensors and the availability of thickening-system data make this possible.However,the unique properties of thickening systems,such as the non-linearities,long-time delays,partially observed data,and continuous time evolution pose challenges on building data-driven predictive models.To address the above challenges,we establish an integrated,deep-learning,continuous time network structure that consists of a sequential encoder,a state decoder,and a derivative module to learn the deterministic state space model from thickening systems.Using a case study,we examine our methods with a tailing thickener manufactured by the FLSmidth installed with massive sensors and obtain extensive experimental results.The results demonstrate that the proposed continuous-time model with the sequential encoder achieves better prediction performances than the existing discrete-time models and reduces the negative effects from long time delays by extracting features from historical system trajectories.The proposed method also demonstrates outstanding performances for both short and long term prediction tasks with the two proposed derivative types.Zhaolin Yuan Xiaorui Li Di Wu Xiaojuan Ban Nai-Qi Wu Hong-Ning Dai Hao Wang 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,4:1
