1Resequencing of 145 Landmark Cultivars Reveals Asymmetric Sub-genome Selection and Strong Founder Genotype Effects on Wheat Breeding in China显示文摘Controlled pedigrees and the multi-decade timescale of national crop plant breeding programs offer a unique experimental context for examining how selection affects plant genomes.More than 3000 wheat cultivars have been registered,released,and documented since 1949 in China.In this study,a set of 145 elite cultivars selected from historical points of wheat breeding in China were re-sequenced.A total of 43.75 Tb of sequence data were generated with an average read depth of 17.94x for each cultivar,and more than 60.92 million SNPs and 2.54 million InDels were captured,based on the Chinese Spring RefSeq genome v1.0.Seventy years of breeder-driven selection led to dramatic changes in grain yield and related phenotypes,with distinct genomic regions and phenotypes tar-geted by different breeders across the decades.There are very clear instances illustrating how introduced Italian and otherforeign germplasm was integrated into Chinese wheat programs and reshaped the genomic landscape of local modern cultivars.Importantly,the resequencing data also highlighted significant asymmetric breeding selec-tion among the three sub-genomes:this was evident in both the collinear blocks for homeologous chromosomes and among sets of three homeologous genes.Accumulation of more newly assembled genes in newer cultivars implied the potential value of these genes in breeding.Conserved and extended sharing of linkage disequilibrium(LD)blocks was highlighted among pedigree-related cultivars,in which fewer haplotype differences were detected.Fixation or replacement of haplotypes from founder genotypes after generations of breeding was related to their breeding value.Based on the haplotype frequency changes in LD blocks of pedigree-related cultivars,we propose a strategy for evaluating the breeding value of any given line on the basis of the accumulation(pyramiding)of bene-ficial haplotypes.Collectively,our study demonstrates the influence of 'founder genotypes' on the output of breeding efforts over many decades and also suggests that founder genotype perspectives are in fact more dy-namic when applied in the context of modern genomics-informed breeding.Chenyang Hao Chengzhi Jiao Jian Hou Tian Li Hongxia Liu Yuquan Wang Jun Zheng Hong Liu Zhihong Bi Fengfeng Xu Jing Zhao Lin Ma Yamei Wang Uzma Majeed Xu Liu Rudi Appels Marco Maccaferri Roberto Tuberosa Hongfeng Lu Xueyong Zhang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,12:9

5Physics and astrophysics of strong magnetic field systems with eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the science potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies of strongly magnetized objects. We will focus on the physics and astrophysics of strongly magnetized objects, namely magnetars, accreting X-ray pulsars, and rotation powered pulsars. We also discuss the science potential of eXTP for QED studies. 10Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 12Leveraging graph convolutional networks for semi-supervised fault diagnosis of HVAC systems in data-scarce contexts显示文摘The continuous accumulation of operational data has provided an ideal platform to devise and implement customized data analytics for smart HVAC fault detection and diagnosis.In practice,the potentials of advanced supervised learning algorithms have not been fully realized due to the lack of sufficient labeled data.To tackle such data challenges,this study proposes a graph neural network-based approach to effectively utilizing both labeled and unlabeled operational data for optimum decision-makings.More specifically,a graph generation method is proposed to transform tabular building operational data into association graphs,based on which graph convolutions are performed to derive useful insights for fault classifications.Data experiments have been designed to evaluate the values of the methods proposed.Three datasets on HVAC air-side operations have been used to ensure the generalizability of results obtained.Different data scenarios,which vary in training data amounts and imbalance ratios,have been created to comprehensively quantify behavioral patterns of representative graph convolution networks and their architectures.The research results indicate that graph neural networks can effectively leverage associations among labeled and unlabeled data samples to achieve an increase of 2.86%–7.30%in fault classification accuracies,providing a novel and promising solution for smart building management.Cheng Fan Yiwen Lin Marco Savino Piscitelli Roberto Chiosa Huilong Wang Alfonso Capozzoli Yuanyuan Ma 2023Building Simulation2023,16,8:0
13Effect of Organic Fertilizer Doses on the Plant Growth,Essential Oil Production and Chemical Substances of "Carqueja" over Two Harvest Moments显示文摘This study aimed to investigate, for the first time, the plant growth, essential oil content and their chemical substances ofBaccharis trimera (Less.) DC., the first Brazilian variety of medicinal plant, in response to five doses of organic fertilizer (0, 10, 20,30, 40 and 50 ton/ha) over two harvest moments-120 d and 242 d after transplanting (DAT). The work was carried out fromFebruary to October 2011 at the experimental farm of the Sao Paulo State University "Julio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), Brazil.The seedlings of B. trimera var. CPQBA-1 were respectively transplanted into experiment plots under six treatments: 0, 10, 20, 30,40 and 50 ton/ha of organic fertilizer. Each treatment had four replications and each plot consisted of 12 plants. Then they wereharvested at 120 DAT and 242 DAT, and the essential oil were extracted by hydrodistillation and analyzed by gas chromatograph.The results were subjected to analysis of variance and the means were analysed using Tukey's test (5%) followed by a regressionanalysis. The fertilizer dose significantly influenced the height of the plants in the second harvest, while the higher dose of organicfertilizer positively impacted the essential oil content in the first harvest. Also, the level of organic fertilizer was directly correlatedwith the production of dry matter during the regrowth. Twenty-seven substances were identified in the essential oil samples, and themajor components were: bicyclogermacrene, trans-caryophyllene, germacrene-D, spathulenol and caryophyllene oxide. Thesefindings suggest that to obtain higher yields of dry matter ofB. trimera, it should be harvested around 242 DAT and organic fertilizershould be applied approximately to 50 ton/ha. 17Sub-percent precision measurement of neutrino oscillation parameters with JUNO显示文摘JUNO is a multi-purpose neutrino observatory under construction in the south of China.This publication presents new sensitivity estimates for the measurement of the △m_(31)^(2),△m_(21)^(2),sin^(2)θ_(12),and sin^(2)θ_(13) oscillation parameters using reactor antineutrinos,which is one of the primary physics goals of the experiment.The sensitivities are obtained using the best knowledge available to date on the location and overburden of the experimental site,the nuclear reactors in the surrounding area and beyond,the detector response uncertainties,and the reactor antineutrino spectral shape constraints expected from the TAO satellite detector.It is found that the △m_(21)^(2) and sin^(2)θ_(12) oscillation parameters will be determined to 0.5%precision or better in six years of data collection.In the same period,the △m_(31)^(2) parameter will be determined to about 0.2%precision for each 18JUNO sensitivity on proton decay p→νK^(+)searches显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)is a large liquid scintillator detector designed to explore many topics in fundamental physics.In this study,the potential of searching for proton decay in the p→νK^(+)mode with JUNO is investigated.The kaon and its decay particles feature a clear three-fold coincidence signature that results in a high efficiency for identification.Moreover,the excellent energy resolution of JUNO permits suppression of the sizable background caused by other delayed signals.Based on these advantages,the detection efficiency for the proton decay via p→νK^(+)is 36.9%±4.9%with a background level of 0.2±0.05(syst)±0.2(stat)events after 10 years of data collection.The estimated sensitivity based on 200 kton-years of exposure is 9.6×1033 years,which is competitive with the current best limits on the proton lifetime in this channel and complements the use of different detection 19X-ray activity from different types of stars显示文摘X-ray emission is an important indicator of stellar activity.In this paper,we study stellar Xray activity using the XMM-Newton and LAMOST data for different types of stars.We provide a sample including 1259 X-ray-emitting stars,of which 1090 have accurate stellar parameter estimations.Our sample size is much larger than those used in previous works.We find a bimodal distribution of the X-ray to optical flux ratio(log(fX/fV)) for G and K stars.We interpret that this bimodality is due to two subpopulations with different coronal heating rates.Furthermore,using the full widths at half maxima calculated from Hα and Hβ lines,we show that these stars in the inactive peaks have smaller rotational velocities.This is consistent with the magnetic dynamo theory that presumes stars with low rotational velocities have low levels of stellar activity.We also examine the correlation between log(fX/fV) and luminosity of the excess emission in the Hα line,and find a tight relation between the coronal and chromospheric activity indicators.Lin He Song Wang Xiao-Jie Xu Roberto Soria Ji-Feng Liu Xiang-Dong Li Yu Bai Zhong-Rui Bai Jin-Cheng Guo Yan-Li Qiu Yong Zhang Ruo-Chuan Xu Ke-Cheng Qian 2019Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2019,19,7:0
