Evaluation on data assimilation of a global high resolution wave-tide-circulation coupled model using the tropical Pacific TAO buoy observations显示文摘In order to evaluate the assimilation results from a global high resolution ocean model, the buoy observations from tropical atmosphere ocean(TAO) during August 2014 to July 2015 are employed. The horizontal resolution of wave-tide-circulation coupled ocean model developed by The First Institute of Oceanography(FIOCOM model) is 0.1°×0.1°, and ensemble adjustment Kalman filter is used to assimilate the sea surface temperature(SST), sea level anomaly(SLA) and Argo temperature/salinity profiles. The simulation results with and without data assimilation are examined. First, the overall statistic errors of model results are analyzed. The scatter diagrams of model simulations versus observations and corresponding error probability density distribution show that the errors of all the observed variables, including the temperature, isotherm depth of 20°C(D20), salinity and two horizontal component of velocity are reduced to some extent with a maximum improvement of 54% after assimilation. Second, time-averaged variables are used to investigate the horizontal and vertical structures of the model results. Owing to the data assimilation, the biases of the time-averaged distribution are reduced more than70% for the temperature and D20 especially in the eastern Pacific. The obvious improvement of D20 which represents the upper mixed layer depth indicates that the structure of the temperature after the data assimilation becomes more close to the reality and the vertical structure of the upper ocean becomes more reasonable. At last, the physical processes of time series are compared with observations. The time evolution processes of all variables after the data assimilation are more consistent with the observations. The temperature bias and RMSE of D20 are reduced by 76% and 56% respectively with the data assimilation. More events during this period are also reproduced after the data assimilation. Under the condition of strong 2014/2016 El Ni?o, the Equatorial Undercurrent(EUC) from the TAO is gradually increased during August to November in 2014, and followed by a decreasing process. Since the improvement of the structure in the upper ocean, these events of the EUC can be clearly found in the assimilation results. In conclusion, the data assimilation in this global high resolution model has successfully reduced the model biases and improved the structures of the upper ocean, and the physical processes in reality can be well produced. | SHI Junqiang YIN Xunqiang SHU Qi XIAO Bin QIAO Fangli | 2018 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,3: | 7
Prognostic Value of NT-proBNP in Stable Coronary Artery Disease in Chinese Patients after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in the Drug-eluting Stent Era显示文摘Objective The predictive value of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) in patients with stable coronary artery disease(SCAD) in the drug-eluting stent era is not yet clear. We aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of NT-proBNP in SCAD patients after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). Methods We examined 4,293 consecutive SCAD patients who underwent PCI between January 2013 and December 2013 in Fuwai Hospital, China. The primary endpoint was all-cause death. NT-proBNP levels were measured before PCI using Elisa kits(Biomedica, Austria). The indication for PCI was based on the degree of coronary stenosis and evidence of ischemia. Results Among 3,187 SCAD patients with NT-proBNP data, after a 2-year follow-up, NT-proBNP levels were predictive for all-cause death in the SCAD population [area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, 0.768; 95% confidence interval(CI), 0.687-0.849; P < 0.001]. At the optimum cutoff point of 732 pg/mL, the sensitivity and specificity of death was 75.0% and 72.3%, respectively. In a multivariable Cox regression model, the death hazard ratio was 6.43(95% CI, 2.99-13.82; P < 0.001) for patients with NT-proBNP levels ≥ 732 pg/mL, compared with < 732 pg/mL. Conclusion NT-proBNP is a strong predictor of 2-year death with SCAD after PCI in the drug-eluting stent era. | ZHAO Xue Yan LI Jian Xin TANG Xiao Fang XU Jing Jing SONG Ying JIANG Lin CHEN Jue SONG Lei GAO Li Jian GAO Zhan QIAO Shu Bin YANG Yue Jin GAO Run Lin XU Bo YUAN Jin Qing | 2018 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2018,31,12: | 5
Risk or Beneficial Factors Associated with Unplanned Revascularization Risk Following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Large Single-Center Data显示文摘Objective To analyze factors associated with unplanned revascularization(UR) risk in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods A total of 10,640 cases with CAD who underwent PCI were analyzed. Multivariate COX regressions and competing risk regressions were applied. Results The patients who underwent UR following PCI in 30 days, 1, and 2 years accounted for 0.3%,6.5%, and 8.7%, respectively. After multivariate adjustment, the number of target lesions [hazard ratio(HR) = 2.320;95% confidence interval(CI): 1.643–3.277;P < 0.001], time of procedure(HR = 1.006;95%CI: 1.001–1.010;P = 0.014), body mass index(HR = 1.104;95% CI: 1.006–1.210;P = 0.036), incomplete revascularization(ICR)(HR = 2.476;95% CI: 1.030–5.952;P = 0.043), and age(HR = 1.037;95% CI:1.000–1.075;P = 0.048) were determined as independent risk factors of 30-day UR. Factors, including low-molecular-weight heparin or fondaparinux(HR = 0.618;95% CI: 0.531–0.719;P < 0.001), secondgeneration durable polymer drug-eluting stent(HR = 0.713;95% CI: 0.624–0.814;P < 0.001), left anterior descending artery involvement(HR = 0.654;95% CI: 0.530–0.807;P < 0.001), and age(HR = 0.992;95%CI: 0.985–0.998;P = 0.014), were independently associated with decreased two-year UR risk. While,Synergy Between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with Taxus and Cardiac Surgery score(HR =1.024;95% CI: 1.014–1.033;P < 0.001) and ICR(HR = 1.549;95% CI: 1.290–1.860;P < 0.001) were negatively associated with two-year UR risk. Conclusion Specific factors were positively or negatively associated with short-and medium-long-term UR following PCI. | LIU Ru GAO Zhan GAO Li Jian ZHAO Xue Yan CHEN Jue QIAO Shu Bin YANG Yue Jin GAO Run Lin XU Bo YUAN Jin Qing | 2020 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,6: | 2
The performance of a z-level ocean model in modeling the global tide显示文摘The performance of a z-level ocean model, the Modular Ocean Model Version 4(MOM4), is evaluated in terms of simulating the global tide with different horizontal resolutions commonly used by climate models. The performance using various sets of model topography is evaluated. The results show that the optimum filter radius can improve the simulated co-tidal phase and that better topography quality can lead to smaller rootmean square(RMS) error in simulated tides. Sensitivity experiments are conducted to test the impact of spatial resolutions. It is shown that the model results are sensitive to horizontal resolutions. The calculated absolute mean errors of the co-tidal phase show that simulations with horizontal resolutions of 0.5° and 0.25° have about 35.5% higher performance compared that with 1° model resolution. An internal tide drag parameterization is adopted to reduce large system errors in the tidal amplitude. The RMS error of the best tuned 0.25° model compared with the satellite-altimetry-constrained model TPXO7.2 is 8.5 cm for M_2. The tidal energy fluxes of M_2 and K_1 are calculated and their patterns are in good agreement with those from the TPXO7.2. The correlation coefficients of the tidal energy fluxes can be used as an important index to evaluate a model skill. | XIAO Bin QIAO Fangli SHU Qi | 2016 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,11: | 2
Panda X-III: Searching for neutrinoless double beta decay with high pressure ^(136)Xe gas time projection chambers显示文摘Searching for the neutrinoless double beta decay(NLDBD)is now regarded as the topmost promising technique to explore the nature of neutrinos after the discovery of neutrino masses in oscillation experiments.Panda X-III(particle and astrophysical xenon experiment III)will search for the NLDBD of136Xe at the China Jin Ping Underground Laboratory(CJPL).In the first phase of the experiment,a high pressure gas Time Projection Chamber(TPC)will contain 200 kg,90%136Xe enriched gas operated at10 bar.Fine pitch micro-pattern gas detector(Microbulk Micromegas)will be used at both ends of the TPC for the charge readout with a cathode in the middle.Charge signals can be used to reconstruct the electron tracks of the NLDBD events and provide good energy and spatial resolution. The detector will be immersed in a large water tank to ensure~5 m of water shielding in all directions. The second phase,a ton-scale experiment, will consist of five TPCs in the same water tank, with improved energy resolution and better control over backgrounds. | Xun Chen Chang Bo Fu Javier Galan Karl Giboni Franco Giuliani Ling Hui Gu Ke Han Xiang Dong Ji Heng Lin Jiang Lai Liu Kai Xiang Ni Hiroki Kusano Xiang Xiang Ren Shao Bo Wang Yong Yang Dan Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao Xiang Ming Sun Shou Yang Hu Si Yu Jian Xing Long Li Xiao Mei Li Hao Liang Huan Qiao Zhang Ming Rui Zhao Jing Zhou Ya Jun Mao Hao Qiao Si Guang Wang Ying Yuan Meng Wang Amir N.Khan Neill Raper Jian Tang Wei Wang Jia Ning Dong Chang Qing Feng Cheng Li Jian Bei Liu Shu Bin Liu Xiao Lian Wang Dan Yang Zhu Juan F.Castel Susana Cebri'an Theopisti Dafni Javier G.Garza Igor G.Irastorza Francisco J.Iguaz Gloria Luz ′on Hector Mirallas Stephan Aune Eric Berthoumieux Yann Bedfer Denis Calvet Nicole d'Hose Alain Delbart Maria Diakaki Esther Ferrer-Ribas Andrea Ferrero Fabienne Kunne Damien Neyret Thomas Papaevangelou Franck Sabatie Maxence Vanderbroucke AnDi Tan Wick Haxton Yuan Mei Chinorat Kobdaj Yu-Peng Yan | 2017 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2017,60,6: | 2

Does Percutaneous Coronary Intervention on Off Days have an Effect on Long-term Prognosis in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease in China?显示文摘As generally known, many hospitals provide routine care on weekdays but only emergency or urgent care on holidays and weekends.Hospital staffing is numerically reduced on holidays and weekends,as well as the available expertise on duty. The onset of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) on off days was reported to be associated with higher short-term mortality[1,2]. | LIU Ru GAO Li Jian XU Ou ZHANG Ce JIA Si Da QIAO Shu Bin YANG Yue Jin GAO Run Lin XU Bo YUAN Jin Qing | 2021 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2021,34,5: | 1
Effect of increasing Arctic river runoff on the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation:a model study显示文摘An increasing amount of freshwater has been observed to enter the Arctic Ocean from the six largest Eurasian rivers over the past several decades. The increasing trend is projected to continue in the twenty-first century according to Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5) coupled models. The present study found that water flux from rivers to the Arctic Ocean at the end of the century will be 1.4 times that in 1950 according to CMIP5 projection results under Representative Concentration Pathway 8.5.The effect of increasing Arctic river runoff on the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation(AMOC) was investigated using an ocean-ice coupled model. Results obtained from two numerical experiments show that 100,150 and 200 years after the start of an increase in the Arctic river runoff at a rate of 0.22%/a,the AMOC will weaken by 0.6(3%),1.2(7%) and 1.8(11%)Sv.AMOC weakening is mainly caused by freshwater transported from increasing Arctic river runoff inhibiting the formation of North Atlantic Deep Water(NADW).As the AMOC weakens, the deep seawater age will become older throughout the Atlantic Basin owing to the increasing of Arctic runoff. | SHU Qi QIAO Fangli SONG Zhenya XIAO Bin | 2017 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,8: | 0
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 11 | Long-Term Prognosis of Different Reperfusion Strategies for ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction in Chinese County-Level Hospitals:Insight from China Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry显示文摘Objective To evaluate the long-term prognosis of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)treated with different reperfusion strategies in Chinese county-level hospitals Methods A total of 2,514 patients with STEMI from 32 hospitals participated in the China Acute Myocardial Infarction registry between January 2013 and September 2014.The success of fibrinolysis was assessed according to indirect measures of vascular recanalization. The primary outcome was 2-year mortality. Results Reperfusion therapy was used in 1,080 patients(42.9%):fibrinolysis(n=664,61.5%)and primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)(n=416,38.5%).The most common reason for missing reperfusion therapy was a prehospital delay>12 h(43%).Fibrinolysis[14.5%,hazard ratio(HR):0.59,95%confidence interval(CI)0.44–0.80]and primary PCI(6.8%,HR=0.32,95%CI:0.22–0.48)were associated with lower 2-year mortality than those with no reperfusion(28.5%).Among fibrinolysistreated patients,510(76.8%)achieved successful clinical reperfusion;only 17.0%of those with failed fibrinolysis underwent rescue PCI.There was no difference in 2-year mortality between successful fibrinolysis and primary PCI(8.8%vs.6.8%,HR=1.53,95%CI:0.85–2.73).Failed fibrinolysis predicted a similar mortality(33.1%)to no reperfusion(33.1%vs.28.5%,HR=1.30,95%CI:0.93–1.81).Conclusion In Chinese county-level hospitals, only approximately 2/5 of patients with STEMI underwent reperfusion therapy, largely due to prehospital delay.Approximately 30%of patients with failed fibrinolysis and no reperfusion therapy did not survive at 2 years.Quality improvement initiatives are warranted, especially in public health education and fast referral for mechanical revascularization in cases of failed fibrinolysis. | WU Chao ZHANG Qiong Yu LI Ling ZHANG Xu Xia CAI Yong Chen YANG Jin Gang XU Hai Yan ZHAO Yan Yan WANG Yang LI Wei JIN Chen GAO Xiao Jin YANG Yue Jin QIAO Shu Bin | 2023 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2023,36,9: | 0
