2Effectiveness and safety of moxibustion in treatment of lumbar disc herniation: a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of moxibustion therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation (LDH). METHODS: Four Chinese databases and three English databases were searched from their inception to April 2018.Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included if moxibustion was used as the sole treatment or as a part of combination therapy with other treatments in patients with LDH. Two reviewers independently extracted the data and assessed the methodological quality using the Cochrane criteria for the risk of bias. The Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 software. RESULTS: In total, 16 RCTs including 1186 patients with LDH were analyzed. The Meta-analysis showed favorable effects of moxibustion in combination with massage therapy on the visual analog scale score compared with massage therapy alone [mean difference (MD)=? 1.32, 95% confidence interval (CI)(? 2.12,? 0.51), P = 0.001]. The subgroup Meta-analysis failed to show favorable effects of electro-acupuncture plus moxibustion on the efficacy rate compared with electro-acupuncture alone [relative risk (RR)= 1.06, 95% CI (0.98, 1.14), P = 0.15]. However, acupuncture or massage therapy plus moxibustion improved the efficacy rates compared with acupuncture or massage therapy alone [RR = 1.33, 95% CI (1.18, 1.49), P < 0.000 01][χ^2 = 2.76, P = 0.25, I2 = 27%],[RR = 1.15, 95% CI (1.06, 1.25), P = 0.001][χ^2 = 0.00, P = 0.95, I2 = 0%]. With respect to the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scores, acupuncture or massage therapy in addition to moxibustion produced results different from those of acupuncture or massage therapy alone [MD = 5.58, 95% CI (4.15, 7.00), P < 0.000 01][χ^2 = 0.58, P = 0.45, I2 = 0%],[MD = 3.61, 95% CI (3.01, 4.21), P < 0.000 01]. There were no significant differences in the JOA score for subjective symptoms, objective symptoms, daily living ability, and other parameters. In six RCTs, no adverse reactions occurred during moxibustion. CONCLUSION: Whether moxibustion is an effective intervention for LDH is unclear because of the small sample size of qualified RCTs and the high risk of bias. 3Review on g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts显示文摘With the rapid development of economy and modern industry,serious environmental pollution and energy shortage have become major urgent challenges to the human society.Photocatalysis is a promising technology to provide green energy.As a typical metal-free polymer photocatalyst,g-C_(3)N_(4) has attracted more and more attention due to its excellent performance.Unfortunately,the fast recombination of photo-induced charges,limited light response range as well as weak oxidation ability are still the key drawback that restrict the photocatalytic performance of g-C_(3)N_(4).These problems can be effectively addressed by constructing g-C_(3)N_(4)-based heterojunctions with two or more semiconductor materials,during which the respective advantages can be integrated.Up to now,the various oxidation semiconductor photocatalysts have been tried to construct the novel S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts with g-C_(3)N_(4).Thus,this review provides a comprehensive introduction of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunctions,including the main characteristics of the S-scheme heterojunction,photocatalytic mechanisms,design rules and preparation methods of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts.Moreover,this review summarizes recently reported works on the potential applications of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme photocatalysts in various important photocatalytic reactions,including photocatalytic hydrogen production,photocatalytic degradation of contaminants,photo-reduction of CO_(2) into fuels,and photocatalytic sterilization.Finally,based on the current research progress,we propose some shortages in the preparation methods and applications of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunctions,which are to be further investigated and resolved in this promising and creative research field.Yunfeng Li Zhiling Xia Qing Yang Linxi Wang Yan Xing 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,30:5
4Characterization and pilot functional study of a root-specific MYB transcription factor of Arabidopsis显示文摘An MYB transcription factor (AtMYB305) of Arabidopsis was structurally characterized. The biochemical activity of the protein was tested and its in vivo function was preliminarily analyzed. AtMYB305 contains two imperfect repeats (R2, R3) in its DNA binding domain. Gel mobility shift assay demonstrated that GST-AtMYB305 fusion pro-tein bound specifically to the DNA fragment that included a consensus MYB recognition sequence (TAACTG). Overex-pression of AtMYB305 in the fission yeast caused the forma-tion of elongated cells with one condensed nucleus. 5Fabrication of superstable gold nanorod-carbon nanocapsule as a molecule loading material显示文摘In this work, we fabricated a monodisperse nanocomposite by coating gold nanorods(Au NRs) with a layer of biocompatible, stable carbon, obtaining Au NR@Carbon core–shell nanocapsules, which without any functionalization could be used as a molecule loading material due to its high surface areas. In this system, the Au NR core had a high-absorption cross section for conversion of near-infrared light to heat, which could be explored for local hyperthermia. The carbon shell, which was biocompatible and stable even under concentrated acidic and alkaline conditions, was able to adsorb molecules with p–p interactions or electrostatic interactions. 6The Z-scheme g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3) photocatalysts with enhanced activity for CO_(2) photoreduction into CO显示文摘The catalytic performance of light-derived CO_(2)reduction with H_(2)O is strongly dependent on the sepa-ration efficiency of photogenerated carriers.Herein,the direct Z-scheme catalysts(g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3))of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))nanosheets decorated three-dimensional ordered macroporous WO_(3)(3DOM-WO_(3))were successfully fabricated by using the in-situ colloidal crystal template method.The slow light effect of 3DOM-WO_(3)photonic crystals expands the absorption of visible light and improves the uti-lization of light energy.The Z-scheme structure of g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3)catalysts is able to upgrade the separation efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.The g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3)photocatalyst,whose formation rate of CO product is 48.7μmol g^(−1)h^(−1),exhibits the excellent catalytic activity for CO_(2)reduc-tion.The transfer pathway of stimulated electrons over the g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3)photocatalyst is proposed and discussed.The present approach provides unique insights into the rational development of high-performance photochemical systems for efficient CO_(2)reduction into valuable carbon-containing chemicals and energy fuels.Zhiling Tang Chujun Wang Wenjie He Yuechang Wei Zhen Zhao Jian Liu 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,2:3
7An ethanolic extract of Bailian(Radix Ampelopsis Japonicae):demonstration of colorectal cancer treatment efficacy via inhibition of β-catenin signaling in vitro显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the underlying mechanism of Bailian (Radix Ampelopsis Japonicae,BL) extract action on colorectal cancer (CRC).METHODS:We explored the involvement of β-catenin signaling on the anti-CRC effects of an BL ethanolic extract (BLE) in cell models by using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay,immunofluorescent staining,luciferase assay,Western blot analysis and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis.Anti-CRC compounds were quantified by high performance liquid chromatography.RESULTS:The contents of gallic acid,catechin,and epicatechin in the BLE were 0.23,1.25,and 0.18 g/kg,respectively.BLE-mediated cytotoxic and apoptotic effects were accompanied by lowered β-catenin/Tcf transcriptional activity,reduced β-catenin nuclear localization,and downregulated protein and mRNA levels of both β-catenin and molecules regulated by β-catenin.CONCLUSION:The mechanism underpinning the anti-CRC effects of BLE may involve inhibition of β-catenin signaling.Further studies are necessary to establish the role of β-catenin signaling in the action of BLE-mediated anti-CRC effects.Su Tao Wang Xinning Li Chunyu Bai Jingxuan Chi-Yan Cheng Fu Xiuqiong Li Ting Yu Zhiling 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,3:3
8Atacamite and Nantokite in Kaerqueka Copper Deposit of Qimantag Area:Evidence for Cenozoic Climate Evolution of the Qaidam Basin显示文摘Using a mineralogy method to reflect climate evolution is a new approach to research Cenozoic environmental progression of the Qaidam Basin. In this paper, we present the chemical composition and crystallographic parameter of atacamite, nantokite, and tenorite in cryptocrystalline aggregates from the Kaerqueka copper deposit of Qimantag metallogenic belt by means of electron microprobe and in-situ X-ray diffraction analyses. Atacamite and nantokite occur in an intimate intergrowth as the secondary precipitation of chalcopyrite and bornite filling in the interstitial space of andradite in the Kaerqueka copper deposit, with an average composition of Cl: 12.38 wt.%, Cu: 63.76 wt.%, O: 21.46 wt.%. X-ray microdiffraction shows that the intergrowth contains nantokite with a cubic unit cell a=5.403(2) ? and atacamite with an orthorhombic unit cell a=6.030(3), b=6.883(2), c=9.114(1) ?. XRD quantitative calculation shows that the nanometric aggregate contains 36.07 wt.% tenorite, 18.41 wt.% atacamite, and 45.52 wt.% nantokite. The presence of nantokite and atacamite requires saline solutions for their formation and hyper-arid climate conditions for their preservation. Combined with the data of salt lakes and the pollen sequence of western China, we suggest that during the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the retreat of the Paratethys, saline water was forced to the surface through a basal fracture zone. In the hyper-arid climate of the Qaidam Basin, the recharge of groundwater by direct precipitation is negligible, and groundwater is derived from inflow from the salt lakes. Thus, atacamite is preserved. 9Boron doped graphdiyne:A metal-free peroxidase mimetic nanozyme for antibacterial application显示文摘The abuse of conventional antibiotics leads to increasing bacterial resistance.Nanozyme is a new kind of ultra-efficient and safe nanomaterial with intrinsic enzyme-like activities,showing remarkable potential as a next generation nanobactericide.Graphdiyne(GDY)is a burgeoning two-dimensional(2D)carbon allotrope with intriguing physicochemical properties,holding a great promise as a metal-free nanozyme.In this study,a boron doped GDY nanosheet(B-GDY)was constructed to simulate the performance of peroxidase(POD).By promoting the decomposition of H_(2)O_(2) to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),the bactericidal efficacies against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria were substantially enhanced attributed to the extremely high catalytic activity of B-GDY.In-depth density functional theory(DFT)calculations illuminate that doping of boron can introduce more active B-defect sites as well as lower Gibbs free energy during the H_(2)O_(2) decomposition reaction.Notably,B-GDY contributes to significant wound healing and excellent biocompatibility,reducing the biological burden.The design of this nanozyme opens a new avenue for the development of alternative antibiotics.Xuelong Bi Qiang Bai Lina Wang Fanglin Du Manhong Liu William W.Yu Siheng Li Jiaqiang Li Zhiling Zhu Ning Sui Jin Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:2

11Major and Trace Elements of Magnetite from the Qimantag Metallogenic Belt: Insights into Evolution of Ore–forming Fluids显示文摘Magnetite, as a genetic indicator of ores, has been studied in various deposits in the world. In this paper, we present textural and compositional data of magnetite from the Qimantag metallogenic belt of the Kunlun Orogenic Belt in China, to provide a better understanding of the formation mechanism and genesis of the metallogenic belt and to shed light on analytical protocols for the in situ chemical analysis of magnetite. Magnetite samples from various occurrences, including the ore–related granitoid pluton, mineralised endoskarn and vein–type iron ores hosted in marine carbonate intruded by the pluton, were examined using scanning electron microscopy and analysed for major and trace elements using electron microprobe and laser ablation–inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry. The field and microscope observation reveals that early–stage magnetite from the Hutouya and Kendekeke deposits occurs as massive or banded assemblages, whereas late–stage magnetite is disseminated or scattered in the ores. Early–stage magnetite contains high contents of Ti, V, Ga, Al and low in Mg and Mn. In contrast, late–stage magnetite is high in Mg, Mn and low in Ti, V, Ga, Al. Most magnetite grains from the Qimantag metallogenic belt deposits except the Kendekeke deposit plot in the ' Skarn ' field in the Ca+Al+Mn vs Ti+V diagram, far from typical magmatic Fe deposits such as the Damiao and Panzhihua deposits. According to the(Mg O+Mn O)–Ti O2–Al2O3 diagram, magnetite grains from the Kaerqueka and Galingge deposits and the No.7 ore body of the Hutouya deposit show typical characteristics of skarn magnetite, whereas magnetite grains from the Kendekeke deposit and the No.2 ore body of the Hutouya deposit show continuous elemental variation from magmatic type to skarn type. This compositional contrast indicates that chemical composition of magnetite is largely controlled by the compositions of magmatic fluids and host rocks of the ores that have reacted with the fluids. 13Young Yum pill inhibits inflammatory mediators and nuclear factor-kappa B signaling in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Young Yum pill (YYP) on inflammatory mediators in cultured RAW 264.7 cells and elucidate the nuclear factor- kappa B (NF-κB)-related mechanism behind the action. METHODS: YYP was extracted with 95% ethanol Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages were used to evaluate the effect of YYP on inflammatory mediators. Production of nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) were measured by Griess test and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, respectively. The levels of genes and proteins involved in the generation of inflammatory mediators were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting, respectively. RESULTS: YYP dose-dependently suppressed LPS-induced production of NO, PGE2 and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), and elevation of mRNA and protein levels of inducible NO synthase and cyclooxygenase- 2 in RAW 264.7 macrophages. These observations were associated with decreased NF-κB p65 phosphorylation and nuclear localization, enhanced Akt (protein kinase B) phosphorylation, as well as reduced inhibitor of κB (IκB)α degradation and IκB kinase α/β phosphorylation. 14An improved ileal conduit surgery for bladder cancer with fewer complications显示文摘Background:Radical cystectomy and urinary diversion remains the standard surgical treatment for patients with muscle-invasive or high-risk or recurrent non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer.Although this approach prolongs patient survival remarkably,there are postoperative complications associated with urinary diversion.This study aimed to assess the efficacy of modified ileal conduit surgery for reducing early and late stoma-and ureteroileal anastomo-sis-related complications,as compared with conventional ileal conduit urinary diversion.Methods:We retrospectively evaluated the clinical data of bladder cancer patients treated with radical cystectomy and ileal conduit urinary diversion at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center between January 1,2000 and June 30,2016.Ileal conduit was created by the conventional or a modified technique.The clinicopathologic features of the conventional and the modified ileal conduit groups were compared using the t test and the Chi square test.Multivari-able logistic regression analysis and multivariable Cox regression analysis were performed to determine the odds of developing stoma-and ureteroileal anastomosis-related complications in the two groups.Results:145 and 100 patients underwent the modified and conventional ileal conduit surgery,respectively.The two groups were comparable with regard to clinicopathologic features.The rate of stoma-related complications was significantly lower in the modified ileal conduit group than in the conventional ileal conduit group(0.7%vs.17.0%,P<0.001).No late stoma-related complications were seen in the modified ileal conduit group,but were seen in 13(13.0%)patients in the conventional ileal conduit group.The rate of ureteroileal anastomosis-related complications was significantly lower in the modified ileal conduit group than in the conventional ileal conduit group(4.8%vs.15.0%,P=0.001).In multivariable analyses,the modified ileal conduit group was significantly less likely to develop stoma-(odds ratio[OR]=0.024,95%confidence interval[CI]0.003-0.235;P=0.001)or ureteroileal anastomosis-related complications(OR=0.141,95%CI 0.042-0.476;P=0.002)than the conventional ileal conduit group.Conclusions:Our modified surgical technique for ileal conduit urinary diversion may be effective for reducing early and late complications related to the stoma and the ureteroileal anastomosis.Prospective randomized clinical trials are needed to confirm our results.Zhiyong Li Zhuowei Liu Kai Yao Zike Qin Hui Han Yonghong Li Pei Dong Yunlin Ye Yanjun Wang Zhiming Wu Zhiling Zhang Fangjian Zhou 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:2

18CmNF-YB8 affects drought resistance in chrysanthemum by altering stomatal status and leaf cuticle thickness显示文摘Drought is a major abiotic stress that limits plant growth and development.Adaptive mechanisms have evolved to mitigate drought stress,including the capacity to adjust water loss rate and to modify the morphology and structure of the epidermis.Here,we show that the expression of CmNF-YB8,encoding a nuclear factor Y(NF-Y)B-type subunit,is lower under drought conditions in chrysanthemum(Chrysanthemum morifolium).Transgenicchrysanthemumlinesinwhich transcript levels of CmNF-YB8 were reduced by RNA interference(CmNF-YB8-RNAi)exhibited enhanced drought resistance relative to control lines,whereas lines overexpressing CmNF-YB8(CmNF-YB8-OX)were less tolerant to drought.Compared to wild type(WT),CmNF-YB8-RNAi plants showed reduced stomatal opening and a thicker epidermal cuticle that correlated with their water loss rate.We also identified genes involved in stomatal adjustment(CBLinteracting protein kinase 6,CmCIPK6)and cuticle biosynthesis(CmSHN3)that are more highly expressed in CmNF-YB8-RNAi lines than in WT,CmCIPK6 being a direct downstream target of CmNF-YB8.Virus-induced gene silencing of CmCIPK6 or CmSHN3 in the CmNFYB8-RNAi background abolished the effects of CmNF-YB8-RNAi on stomatal closure and cuticle deposition,respectively.CmNF-YB8 thus regulates CmCIPK6 and CmSHN3 expression to alter stomatal movement and cuticle thickness in the leaf epidermis,thereby affecting drought resistance.Tianle Wang Qian Wei Zhiling Wang Wenwen Liu Xin Zhao Chao Ma Junping Gao Yanjie Xu Bo Hong 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,3:1
19Synthesis of AgInS_2 QDs in droplet microreactors:Online fluorescence regulating through temperature control显示文摘For the synthesis of AgInS_2 quantum dots(QDs), a suitable temperature is extremely important for control of the size, shape and fluorescence properties of QDs. Most of synthesis methods for AgInS_2 QDs are based on batch reactors, which bring uneven distribution of temperature, affecting their fluorescence properties and size uniformity. Here we designed a droplet microreactor with a temperature-controllable region, and successfully synthesized water-soluble AgInS_2 QDs. By accurately controlling temperature,we also studied how the reaction temperature affected the fluorescence properties of AgInS_2 QDs. The results showed that with the increasing of reaction temperature, the QDs size increased and the fluorescence peak constantly red-shifted along with enhanced fluorescence intensity.
