1Altered trends in carbon uptake in China’s terrestrial ecosystems under the enhanced summer monsoon and warming hiatus显示文摘The carbon budgets in terrestrial ecosystems in China are strongly coupled with climate changes.Over the past decade,China has experienced dramatic climate changes characterized by enhanced summer monsoon and decelerated warming.However,the changes in the trends of terrestrial net ecosystem production(NEP)in China under climate changes are not well documented.Here,we used three ecosystem models to simulate the spatiotemporal variations in China's NEP during 1982–2010 and quantify the contribution of the strengthened summer monsoon and warming hiatus to the NEP variations in four distinct climatic regions of the country.Our results revealed a decadal-scale shift in NEP from a downtrend of–5.95 Tg C/yr^2(reduced sink)during 1982–2000 to an uptrend of 14.22 Tg C/yr^2(enhanced sink)during 2000–10.This shift was essentially induced by the strengthened summer monsoon,which stimulated carbon uptake,and the warming hiatus,which lessened the decrease in the NEP trend.Compared to the contribution of 56.3%by the climate effect,atmospheric CO2 concentration and nitrogen deposition had relatively small contributions(8.6 and 11.3%,respectively)to the shift.In conclusion,within the context of the global-warming hiatus,the strengthening of the summer monsoon is a critical climate factor that enhances carbon uptake in China due to the asymmetric response of photosynthesis and respiration.Our study not only revealed the shift in ecosystem carbon sequestration in China in recent decades,but also provides some insight for understanding ecosystem carbon dynamics in other monsoonal areas.Honglin He Shaoqiang Wang Li Zhang Junbang Wang Xiaoli Ren Lei Zhou Shilong Piao Hao Yan Weimin Ju Fengxue Gu Shiyong Yu Yuanhe Yang Miaomiao Wang Zhongen Niu Rcmg Ge Huimin Yan Mei Huang Guoyi Zhou Yongfei Bai Zongqiang Xie Zhiyao Tang Bingfang Wu Leiming Zhang Nianpeng He Qiufeng Wang Guirui Yu 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:24

4Spatiotemporal dynamic simulation of grassland carbon storage in China显示文摘Based on the Terrestrial Ecosystem Model(TEM 5.0), together with the data of climate(temperature, precipitation and solar radiation) and environment(grassland vegetation types, soil texture, altitude, longitude and latitude, and atmospheric CO2 concentration data), the spatiotemporal variations of carbon storage and density, and their controlling factors were discussed in this paper. The results indicated that:(1) the total carbon storage of China's grasslands with a total area of 394.93×104 km2 was 59.47 Pg C. Among them, there were 3.15 Pg C in vegetation and 56.32 Pg C in soil carbon. China's grasslands covering 7.0–11.3% of the total world's grassland area had 1.3–11.3% of the vegetation carbon and 9.7–22.5% of the soil carbon in the world grasslands. The total carbon storage increased from 59.13 to 60.16 Pg C during 1961–2013 with an increasing rate of 19.4 Tg C yr^(-1).(2) The grasslands in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau contributed most to the total carbon storage during 1961–2013, accounting for 63.2% of the total grassland carbon storage, followed by Xinjiang grasslands(15.8%) and Inner Mongolia grasslands(11.1%).(3) The vegetation carbon storage showed an increasing trend, with the average annual growth rate of 9.62 Tg C yr^(-1) during 1961–2013, and temperature was the main determinant factor, explaining approximately 85% of its variation. The vegetation carbon storage showed an increasing trend in most grassland regions, however, a decreasing trend in the central grassland in the southern China, the western and central parts of the Inner Mongolian grasslands as well as some parts on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The soil carbon storage showed a significantly increasing trend with a rate of 7.96 Tg C yr^(-1), which resulted from the interaction of more precipitation and low temperature in the 1980 s and 1990 s. 6Experimental Optimization of Jet Self-Priming Centrifugal Pump Based on Orthogonal Design and Grey-Correlational Method显示文摘The novel jet self-priming centrifugal pump,as important modern irrigation equipment,is widely used in large-scale irrigation,mine drainage and so on.In order to improve the profile streamline of blade,the inlet shape of impeller was designed as distorted and the outlet shape as cylindrical,which can not only improve the pump efficiency,but also shorten the self-priming time.Further,the novel jet self-priming system was proposed,by employing the jet nozzle and check valve to improve the velocity of self-priming.Meanwhile,nine different structure jet nozzles were designed based on the orthogonal design method,and the relevant self-priming experiments were performed on I level accuracy test bench in Jiangsu University.According to the greycorrelational analysis,the influence of the nozzle geometry parameters on the self-priming performance was obtained.The relationship between self-priming time and self-priming height was discussed.The test results showed that the hydraulic design of jet self-priming centrifugal pump was reasonable;all indicators met the Chinese national standard;the head reached 21.04 m and efficiency was 72.8%under the design flow condition.What is more,the self-priming performance was obviously improved by adjusting the geometrical parameters of nozzle.When the height of the self-priming process was 5.3 m,the self-priming time reached 62 s,which was much shorter than the national standard.Therefore,this research could provide reference for designing the structure of jet self-priming centrifugal pump.CHANG Hao SHI Weidong LI Wei WANG Chuan ZHOU Ling LIU Jianrui YANG Yongfei RAMESH KAgarwal 2020Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,1:3

8VIBRATION SUPPRESSION OF CANTILEVER LAMINATED COMPOSITE PLATE WITH NONLINEAR GIANT MAGNETOSTRICTIVE MATERIAL LAYERS显示文摘In this paper, a nonlinear and coupled constitutive model for giant magnetostrictive materials(GMM) is employed to predict the active vibration suppression process of cantilever laminated composite plate with GMM layers. The nonlinear and coupled constitutive model has great advantages in demonstrating the inherent and complicated nonlinearities of GMM in response to applied magnetic field under variable bias conditions(pre-stress and bias magnetic field).The Hamilton principle is used to derive the nonlinear and coupled governing differential equation for a cantilever laminated composite plate with GMM layers. The derived equation is handled by the finite element method(FEM) in space domain, and solved with Newmark method and an iteration process in time domain. The numerical simulation results indicate that the proposed active control system by embedding GMM layers in cantilever laminated composite plate can efficiently suppress vibrations under variable bias conditions. 10Two Ultraviolet Radiation Datasets that Cover China显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV) radiation has significant effects on ecosystems, environments, and human health, as well as atmospheric processes and climate change. Two ultraviolet radiation datasets are described in this paper. One contains hourly observations of UV radiation measured at 40 Chinese Ecosystem Research Network stations from 2005 to 2015. CUV3 broadband radiometers were used to observe the UV radiation, with an accuracy of 5%, which meets the World Meteorology Organization's measurement standards. The extremum method was used to control the quality of the measured datasets. The other dataset contains daily cumulative UV radiation estimates that were calculated using an all-sky estimation model combined with a hybrid model. The reconstructed daily UV radiation data span from 1961 to 2014. The mean absolute bias error and root-mean-square error are smaller than 30% at most stations, and most of the mean bias error values are negative, which indicates underestimation of the UV radiation intensity. These datasets can improve our basic knowledge of the spatial and temporal variations in UV radiation. 14Linearization threshold condition and stability analysis of a stochastic dynamic model of one-machine infinite-bus (OMIB) power systems显示文摘With the increase in the proportion of multiple renewable energy sources, power electronics equipment and new loads, power systems are gradually evolving towards the integration of multi-energy, multi-network and multi-subject affected by more stochastic excitation with greater intensity. There is a problem of establishing an effective stochastic dynamic model and algorithm under different stochastic excitation intensities. A Milstein-Euler predictor-corrector method for a nonlinear and linearized stochastic dynamic model of a power system is constructed to numerically discretize the models. The optimal threshold model of stochastic excitation intensity for linearizing the nonlinear stochastic dynamic model is proposed to obtain the corresponding linearization threshold condition. The simulation results of one-machine infinite-bus (OMIB) systems show the correctness and rationality of the predictor-corrector method and the linearization threshold condition for the power system stochastic dynamic model. 17Cav3.2 channel regulates cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury:a promising target for intervention显示文摘Calcium influx into neurons triggers neuronal death during cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.Various calcium channels are involved in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.Cav3.2 channel is a main subtype of T-type calcium channels.T-type calcium channel blockers,such as pimozide and mibefradil,have been shown to prevent cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury-induced brain injury.However,the role of Cav3.2 channels in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury remains unclear.Here,in vitro and in vivo models of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury were established using middle cerebral artery occlusion in mice and high glucose hypoxia/reoxygenation exposure in primary hippocampal neurons.The results showed that Cav3.2 expression was significantly upregulated in injured hippocampal tissue and primary hippocampal neurons.We further established a Cav3.2 gene-knockout mouse model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.Cav3.2 knockout markedly reduced infarct volume and brain water content,and alleviated neurological dysfunction after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.Additionally,Cav3.2 knockout attenuated cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury-induced oxidative stress,inflammatory response,and neuronal apoptosis.In the hippocampus of Cav3.2-knockout mice,calcineurin overexpression offset the beneficial effect of Cav3.2 knockout after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.These findings suggest that the neuroprotective function of Cav3.2 knockout is mediated by calcineurin/nuclear factor of activated T cells 3 signaling.Findings from this study suggest that Cav3.2 could be a promising target for treatment of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.Feibiao Dai Chengyun Hu Xue Li Zhetao Zhang Hongtao Wang Wanjun Zhou Jiawu Wang Qingtian Geng Yongfei Dong Chaoliang Tang 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,11:0
18Discovery of IHMT-337 as a potent irreversible EZH2 inhibitor targeting CDK4 transcription for malignancies显示文摘Enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2),an enzymatic subunit of PRC2 complex,plays an important role in tumor development and progression through its catalytic and noncatalytic activities.Overexpression or gain-of-function mutations of EZH2 have been significantly associated with tumor cell proliferation of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).As a result,it has gained interest as a potential therapeutic target.The currently available EZH2 inhibitors,such as EPZ6438 and GSK126,are of benefit for clinical using or reached clinical trials.However,certain cancers are resistant to these enzymatic inhibitors due to its noncatalytic or transcriptional activity through modulating nonhistone proteins.Thus,it may be more effective to synergistically degrade EZH2 in addition to enzymatic inhibition.Here,through a rational design and chemical screening,we discovered a new irreversible EZH2 inhibitor,IHMT-337,which covalently bounds to and degrades EZH2 via the E3 ligase CHIP-mediated ubiquitination pathway.Moreover,we revealed that IHMT-337 affects cell cycle progression in TNBC cells through targeting transcriptional regulating of CDK4,a novel PRC2 complex-and enzymatic activity-independent function of EZH2.More significantly,our compound inhibits both DLBCL and TNBC cell proliferation in different preclinical models in vitro and in vivo.Taken together,our findings demonstrate that in addition to enzymatic inhibition,destroying of EZH2 by IHMT-337 could be a promising therapeutic strategy for TNBC and other malignancies that are independent of EZH2 enzymatic activity.Husheng Mei Hong Wu Jing Yang Bin Zhou Aoli Wang Chen Hu Shuang Qi Zongru Jiang Fengming Zou Beilei Wang Feiyang Liu Yongfei Chen Wenchao Wang Jing Liu Qingsong Liu 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:0

20Effects of vascular endothelial growth factor on angiogenesis of the endothelial cells isolated from cavernous malformations显示文摘Human cerebral cavernous malformation(CM)is a common vascular malformation of the central nervous system.We have investigated the biological characteristics of CM endothelial cells and the cellular and molecular mechanisms of CM angiogenesis to offer new insights into exploring effective measures for treatment of this disease.The endothelial cells were isolated from CM tissue masses dissected during operation and expanded in vitro.Expression of VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 was examined with immunocytochemical staining.Proliferation,migration and tube formation of CM endothelial cells were determined using MTT,wounding and transmigration assays,and three-dimensional collagen type I gel respectively.The endothelial cells were successfully isolated from the tissue specimens of 25 CMs dissected without dipolar electrocoagulation.The cells show the general characteristics of the vascular endothelial cells.Expression of VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 on the cells is higher than that on the normal cerebral microvascular endothelial cells.After treatment with VEGF,numbers of the proliferated and migrated cells,the maximal distance of cell migration and the length and area of capillary-like struc-tures formed in the three-dimensional collagen gel increase significantly.These results demonstrate that expression of VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 on CM endothelial cells is up-regulated.By binding to re-ceptors,VEGF may activate the downstream signaling pathways and promote proliferation,migration and tube formation of CM endothelial cells.VEGF/VEGFR signaling pathways play important regulating roles in CM angiogenesis.TAN YuZhen ZHAO Yao WANG HaiJie ZHOU LiangFu MAO Ying LIU Rui SHU Jia WANG YongFei 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,3:0
