2Phytophthora sojae Effector PsAvh240 Inhibits Host Aspartic Protease Secretion to Promote Infection显示文摘Plants secrete defense molecules into the extracellular space (the apoplast) to combat attacking microbes. However, the mechanisms by which successful pathogens subvert plant apoplastic immunity remain poorly understood. In this study, we show that PsAvh240, a membrane-localized effector of the soybean pathogen Phytophthora sojae, promotes P. sojae infection in soybean hairy roots. We found that PsAvh240 interacts with the soybean-resistant aspartic protease GmAP1 in planta and suppresses the secretion of GmAP1 into the apoplast. By solving its crystal structure we revealed that PsAvh240 contain six a helices and two WY motifs. The first two a helices of PsAvh240 are responsible for its plasma membrane-localization and are required for PsAvh240's interaction with GmAP1. The second WY motifs of two PsAvh240 molecules form a handshake arrangement resulting in a handshake-like dimer. This dimerization is required for the effector's repression of GmAP1 secretion. 3Preparation,characterization and photocatalytic performance of Mo-doped ZnO photocatalysts显示文摘A series of Mo-doped ZnO photocatalysts with different Mo-dopant concentrations have been prepared by a grinding-calcination method.The structure of these photocatalysts was characterized by a variety of methods,including N 2 physical adsorption,X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy,photoluminescence(PL) emission spectroscopy,and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS).It was found that Mo 6+ could enter into the crystal lattice of ZnO due to the radius of Mo 6+(0.065 nm) being smaller than that of Zn 2+(0.083 nm).XRD results indicated that Mo 6+ suppressed the growth of ZnO crystals.The FT-IR spectroscopy results showed that the ZnO with 2 wt.% Mo-doping has a higher level of surface hydroxyl groups than pure ZnO.PL spectroscopy indicated that ZnO with 2 wt.% Mo-doping also exhibited the largest reduction in the intensity of the emission peak at 390 nm caused by the recombination of photogenerated hole-electron pairs.The activities of the Mo-doped ZnO photocatalysts were investigated in the photocatalytic degradation of acid orange II under UV light(λ = 365 nm) irradiation.It was found that ZnO with 2 wt.% Mo-doping showed much higher photocatalytic activity and stability than pure ZnO.The high photocatalytic performance of the Mo-doped ZnO can be attributed to a great improvement in the surface properties of ZnO,higher crystallinity and lower recombination rate of photogenerated hole-electron(e-/h+) pairs.Moreover,the undoped Mo species may exist in the form of MoO3 and form MoO3 /ZnO heterojunctions which further favors the separation of e-/h+ pairs.YU ChangLin YANG Kai SHU Qing YU Jimmy C CAO FangFang LI Xin ZHOU XiaoChun 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,9:8
4Analysis of structural components of decellularized scaffolds in renal fibrosis显示文摘Chronic kidney disease has been recognized as a major public health problem worldwide and renal fibrosis is a common pathological process occurring in chronic renal failure.It is very promising to find the strategies to slow or even prevent the progression of fibrosis.This study focused on whether renal fibrosis decellularized scaffolds has the potential to be a model of cellular mechanisms of tissue fibrosis or donors for tissue engineering.In order to evaluate the feasibility of decellularized scaffolds derived from pathological kidneys,histology,proteomics and ELISA will be used to analysis the changes in the structure and main components of fibrotic tissue.The fibrosis model in this paper was induced by adenine-fed and the results showed that the structure of fibrotic scaffold was changed and some protein were up-regulated or down-regulated,but the cytokines associated with renal regeneration after injury were remained.In cell experiments,endothelial progenitor cells proliferated well,which proved that the fibrotic scaffolds have non-cytotoxic.All these conclusions indicate that the renal fibrosis decellularized scaffolds model has the ability to study fibrosis mechanism and the potential to be engineering donors as well as normal scaffolds.Rui Zhang Junqun Jiang Yaling Yu Fangfang Wang Niuniu Gao Yingjie Zhou Xinlong Wan Zhibin Wang Peng Wei Jin Mei 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:5

6Jiangtang Xiaoke granule attenuates glucose metabolism disorder via regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress in the liver of type 2 diabetes mellitus mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of Jiangtang Xiaoke(JTXK) granule on endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress in high fat diet(HFD)-induced type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2 DM) KK-Ay mice.METHODS:KK-Ay mice were fed with HFD to induce the T2 DM model,while normal control C57 BL/6 J mice were given standard feed.Fasting blood glucose(FBG) in all mice was measured weekly and oral glucose tolerance tests(OGTTs) were performed at 4 and 10 weeks after start of treatment to determine glucose metabolism.Serum fasting insulin(FINS) and insulin sensitivity index(ISI) were measured to determine insulin sensitivity.m RNA expressions of eukaryotic initiation factor-2 alpha(e IF2α),glucose regulated protein 78(GRP78),activating transcription factor 4(ATF4),and C/EBP homology protein(CHOP) were assessed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and the protein expressions of p-e IF2α,GRP78,and CHOP were assessed by Western blotting.RESULTS:JTXK granule significantly reduced FBG and free fatty acid levels and improved OGTT at the120 min of the 10-week treatment in T2 DM KK-Ay mice.FINS and Hb Alc levels were reduced and insulin sensitivities were increased in KK-Ay diabetic mice,which were improved with the treatment of JTXK granule,especially at the 7 and 3.5 g/kg doses.JTXK granule at the 3.5 g/kg dose was most effective in reducing both gene and protein expressions of e IF2α,GRP78,and CHOP.CONCLUSION:ER stress response is increased in T2 DM KK-Ay mice.Treatment with JTXK granule attenuates glucose disorders,improves insulin sensitivity,and reduces serum FFA in T2 DM KK-Ay mice.The mechanisms may be attributed to regulation of the signaling ER stress pathway via decreasing e IF2α phosphorylation and suppressing e IF2α-ATF4-CHOP activation.Zhang Yi Mo Fangfang Zhang Dongwei Gao Sihua Zhao Dandan Yu Na Mu Qianqian Zuo Jiacheng Ma Yue 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4:3

[Results]The test strip had a detection limit of 50 μg/kg to milk with a detection time of 15 min,and the false positive rate and false negative rate were both 0. 8Differentially private high-dimensional data publication via grouping and truncating techniques显示文摘The count of one column for high-dimensional datasets, i.e., the number of records containing this column, has been widely used in nuinerous applications such as analyzing popular spots based on check-in location information and mining valuable items from shopping records. However, this poses a privacy threat when directly publishing this information. Differential privacy (DP), as a notable paradigm for strong privacy guarantees, is thereby adopted to publish all column counts. Prior studies have verified that truncating records or grouping columns can effectively improve the accuracy of published results. To leverage the advantages of the two techniques, we combine these studies to further boost the accuracy of published results. However, the traditional penalty function, which measures the error imported by a given pair of parameters including truncating length and group size, is so sensitive that the derived parameters deviate from the optimal parameters significantly. To output preferable parameters, we first design a smart penalty function that is less sensitive than the traditional function. Moreover, a two-phase selection method is proposed to compute these parameters efficiently, together with the improvement in accuracy. 12Trends of Mortality in End-Stage Liver Disease—China,2008–2020显示文摘Introduction:Liver cancer and cirrhosis represent the most prevalent forms of end-stage liver diseases(ESLDs).Notably,in China,deaths attributed to ESLDs contribute significantly to the global mortality rate of these disorders.Enhanced comprehension of the mortality profile associated with ESLDs in China could provide crucial insights into intervention prioritization,which could in turn help reduce the overall global burden of these diseases.Methods:Data were obtained from China’s Disease Surveillance Points system.The presentation includes both crude and age-standardized mortality rates,stratified by sex,residential location,and region.Using Joinpoint Regression,trends in annual mortality rates were estimated from the period of 2008 to 2020 and expressed as the average annual percentage change(AAPC).Results:In 2020,the gross mortality rate of ESLD stood at 30.08 cases per 100,000 individuals.A higher age-standardized ESLD mortality rate was observed in males and rural populations in comparison to their female and urban counterparts,respectively.Noticeably,the highest mortality rates associated with liver cancer and cirrhosis were reported in South and Southwest China,respectively.A positive correlation was noticed between age-specific ESLD mortality rates and advancing age.Interestingly,an annual decrease in the ESLD mortality rate was observed from 2008 to 2020.In urban contexts,the AAPC of cirrhosis was noted to be higher than that of liver cancer.Conclusions:The mortality rate associated with ESLDs in China decreased between 2008 and 2020.Nevertheless,the death burden attributable to ESLD continues to be alarmingly high.Future initiatives should prioritize the reduction of ESLD mortality in particular populations:males,elderly individuals,and those residing in rural regions of South and Southwest China.The emphasis of future interventions should beplaced on antiviral therapy for adults diagnosed with viral hepatitis,and on the prevention of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection across all demographics.Xiaoxiao Wang Huixin Liu Jinlei Qi Fangfang Zeng Lijun Wang Peng Yin Feng Liu Hongbo Li Yunning Liu Jiangmei Liu Lai Wei Xiaofeng Liang Yu Wang Huiying Rao Maigeng Zhou 2023China CDC weekly2023,5,30:1

15Removal of antibiotics from aqueous solution by using porous adsorbent templated from eco-friendly Pickering aqueous foams显示文摘The aqueous foam template without any solvent and only using the particles stabilizer has attracted much attention for preparation of the porous adsorbents.Herein,a novel porous adsorbent was fabricated via thermal-initiated polymerization of Pickering aqueous foams,which was stabilized by the natural sepiolite(Sep)and pine pollen,and utilized for the removal of antibiotic from aqueous solution.The stabilizing mechanism of Pickering aqueous foam of that the Sep was modified with the leaching substance from pine pollen and arranged orderly around the bubble to form a dense'shell'structure was revealed.The adsorbents possessed the hierarchical porous structure and excellent adsorption performance for antibiotic of chlorotetracycline hydrochloride(CTC)and tetracycline hydrochloride(TC).The equilibrium adsorption capacities of CTC and TC were achieved with 465.59 and 330.59 mg/g within 60 min at 25℃,respectively.The adsorption process obeyed Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order adsorption kinetic model.This work provided eco-friendly approach for fabricate porous adsorbents for wastewater treatment.Hui Yu Yongfeng Zhu Aiping Hui Fangfang Yang Aiqin Wang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:1

18Analysis and Evaluation of Bioavailable Heavy Metals in Surface Soil of the Abandoned Lead-zinc Mine in Changhua,Hainan Province显示文摘[Objectives] The research was conducted to study characteristics of bioavailable levels pollution of heavy metals in the surface soil of the lead-zinc mine in Changhua. [Methods] A total of 56 surface samples were collected from the 3 study zones( peripheral zone,reclamation zone and tailing zone) located at the lead-zine mine in Changhua. Based on total and bioavailable heavy metals( Pb,Zn,Cu and Cd) in soils,the correlation of total content with bioavailable content was analyzed,and their pollution characteristics were assessed by methods of single factor pollution index,Nemerow pollution index,geological accumulation index and potential ecological risk index. [Results]( i) The surface soils were polluted by Pb,Zn,Cu,Cd in different degrees,and the overall trend of the contents of the 4 heavy metals was in order of Cd > Pb > Zn > Cu. The average excess multiple of heavy metals of total and bioavailable content in soils were in the order of peripheral zone > tailing zone > reclaimed zone,and their pollution degrees were tailing zone > peripheral zone > reclaimed zone.( ii) In general,the total and bioavailable contents of Pb,Zn,Cu,Cd showed a significant correlation,but were not correlated in each study zone.( iii) Pollution degrees of the study zones were in the order of tailing zone > peripheral zone > reclamation zone. The pollutions of heavy metals Pb and Cd were more serious,especially Cd reached high levels of pollution degree,and the pollution degrees of Zn,Cu were lighter. Contributors of ecological risk were mainly Cd,Pb and Cu,and the contribution of Cd achieved more than 90 %,making it the main source of pollution. 20Controlled Growth of Pt–Au Alloy Nanowires and Their Performance for Formic Acid Electrooxidation显示文摘Pt–Au alloy nanowires have been controllably electrodeposited on microelectrodes by applying an alternating current and were used as the electrocatalyst for formic acid oxidation. The frequency and voltage of the alternating current and the electrolyte composition were adjusted to precisely control the morphologies, alloying structures and composition. The characteristics of Pt–Au alloy nanowires were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron spectroscopy. Electrocatalytic performance of formic acid oxidation at Pt–Au alloy nanowires electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry. The results showed that the Pt–Au alloy nanowires possessed highlycrystalline morphologies, the controllable bimetallic composition and single-phase alloy structures, which mainly grow in the <111> crystal orientation. The electrocatalytic activity of formic acid oxidation strongly depended on the bimetallic Pt/Au composition. The Pt35Au65 alloy nanowires displayed superior electrocatalytic performance and high stability toward the electrooxidation of formic acid in acidic solution, owing to the ensemble effect of the Pt and Au components.
