Molecular cloning and expression under abiotic stresses and hormones of the ethylene response factor Ⅶ gene FmRAP2.12 from Fraxinus mandshurica显示文摘RELATED TO AP2.12(RAP2.12)is one of the Ethylene Response Factors(ERF)transcription factor and plays a key role in controlling plant root bending and responding to multiple abiotic stresses including hypoxia stress. In this study,FmRAP2.12 gene was isolated and characterized from Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr. The open reading frame(ORF)of FmRAP2.12 was 1170 bp and encoded a protein of 389 amino acids. The conserved domains,three-dimensional phylogenetic relationship of FmRAP2.12 was also investigated.Quantitative real-time(qRT-PCR)analyzed the expression of FmRAP2.12 in different tissues. The expression level of FmRAP2.12 was highest in roots followed by leaves, and lowest in male flowers.Abiotic stress and hormone signal-induced expression was established using qRT-PCR.Salt stress induced FmRAP2.12 to a double peak pattern:the first peak value was at 6 h and the second at 72 h.Drought stress also induced FmRAP2.12 to a double peak pattern:the first at6 h and the second at 48 h.FmRAP2.12 was up-regulated after initiation of gibberellic acid(GA3)treatment,with a one peak pattern at 24 h.FmRAP2.12 may not respond to cold stress and Abscisic acid(ABA)treatment. The transient overexpression of FmRAP2.12 caused the up-expression of downstream key genes of abiotic stress response and gibberellin pathway. Our research reveals the molecular characteristic and expression patterns under abiotic stress and hormone condition of FmRAP2.12,providing support for the genetic improvement of F.mandshurica at a molecular level. | Nansong Liang Lei Yu Chunhao Liu Ziqing Wang Xingtang Zhao Yaguang Zhan | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4: | 3
Robust far-field imaging by spatial coherence engineering显示文摘The degree of coherence(DOC)function that characterizes the second-order correlations at any two points in a light field is shown to provide a new degree of freedom for carrying information. As a rule, the DOC varies along the beam propagation path, preventing from the efficient information recovery. In this paper,we report that when a partially coher-ent beam carrying a cross phase propagates in free space,in a paraxial optical system or in a turbulent medium, the modulus of the far-field(focal plane)DOC acquires the same value as it has in the source plane. This unique propaga-tion feature is employed in a novel protocol for far-field imaging via the DOC,applicable to transmission in both free-space and turbulence. The advantages of the proposed approach are the confidentiality and resistance to turbulence,as well as the weaker requirement for the beam alignment accuracy. We demonstrate the feasibility and the robustness of the far-field imaging via the DOC in the turbulent media through both the experiment and the numerical simulations. Our findings have potential applications in optical imaging and remote sensing in natural environments,in the presence of op-tical turbulence. | Yonglei Liu Yahong Chen Fei Wang Yangjian Cai Chunhao Liang Olga Korotkova | 2021 | Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,12: | 2
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 4 | An integrative drug repositioning framework discovered a potential therapeutic agent targeting COVID-19显示文摘The global spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)requires an urgent need to find effective therapeutics for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).In this study,we developed an integrative drug repositioning framework, which fully takes advantage of machine learning and statistical analysis approaches to systematically integrate and mine large-scale knowledge graph, literature and transcriptome data to discover the potential drug candidates against SARS-CoV-2.Our in silico screening followed by wet-lab validation indicated that a poly-ADP-ribose polymerase 1(PARP1)inhibitor,CVL218,currently in Phase I clinical trial, may be repurposed to treat COVID-19.Our in vitro assays revealed that CVL218 can exhibit effective inhibitory activity against SARS-CoV-2 replication without obvious cytopathic effect. In addition,we showed that CVL218 can interact with the nucleocapsid(N)protein of SARS-CoV-2 and is able to suppress the LPS-induced production of several inflammatory cytokines that are highly relevant to the prevention of immunopathology induced by SARS-CoV-2 infection. | Yiyue Ge Tingzhong Tian Suling Huang Fangping Wan Jingxin Li Shuya Li Xiaoting Wang Hui Yang Lixiang Hong Nian Wu Enming Yuan Yunan Luo Lili Cheng Chengliang Hu Yipin Lei Hantao Shu Xiaolong Feng Ziyuan Jiang Yunfu Wu Ying Chi Xiling Guo Lunbiao Cui Liang Xiao Zeng Li Chunhao Yang Zehong Miao Ligong Chen Haitao Li Hainian Zeng Dan Zhao Fengcai Zhu Xiaokun Shen Jianyang Zeng | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,5: | 0
Robust measurement of orbital angular momentum of a partially coherent vortex beam under amplitude and phase perturbations显示文摘The ability to overcome the negative effects, induced by obstacles and turbulent atmosphere,is a core challenge of long-distance information transmission, and it is of great significance in free-space optical communication. The spatial-coherence structure, that characterizes partially coherent fields, provides a new degree of freedom for carrying information. However, due to the influence of the complex transmission environment, the spatial-coherence structure is severely damaged during the propagation path, which undoubtedly limits its ability to transmit information. Here,we realize the robust far-field orbital angular momentum(OAM)transmission and detection by modulating the spatial-coherence structure of a partially coherent vortex beam with the help of the cross-phase.The cross-phase enables the OAM information, quantified by the topological charge, hidden in the spatial-coherence structure can be stably transmitted to the far field and can resist the influence of obstructions and turbulence within the communication link. This is due to the self-reconstruction property of the spatial-coherence structure embedded with the cross-phase.We demonstrate experimentally that the topological charge information can be recognized well by measuring the spatial-coherence structure in the far field, exhibiting a set of distinct and separated dark rings even under amplitude and phase perturbations. Our findings open a door for robust optical signal transmission through the complex environment and may find application in optical communication through a turbulent atmosphere. | Zhao Zhang Gaoyuan Li Yonglei Liu Haiyun Wang Bernhard J.Hoenders Chunhao Liang Yangjian Cai Jun Zeng | 2024 | Opto-Electronic Science2024,3,1: | 0
Measurement of optical coherence structures of random optical fields using generalized Arago spot experiment显示文摘The optical coherence structures of random optical fields can determine beam propagation behavior, light–matter interactions, etc.Their performance makes a light beam robust against turbulence, scattering, and distortion.Recently,we proposed optical coherence encryption and robust far-field optical imaging techniques. All related applications place a high demand on precision in the experimental measurements of complex optical coherence structures, including their real and imaginary parts.Past studies on these measurements have mainly adopted theoretical mathematical approximations, limited to Gaussian statistic involving speckle statistic(time-consuming),or used complicated and delicate optical systems in the laboratory. In this study,we provide:a robust, convenient, and fast protocol to measure the optical coherence structures of random optical fields via generalized Arago(or Poisson)spot experiments with rigorous mathematical solutions. Our proposal only requires to capture the intensity thrice, and is applicable to any optical coherence structures, regardless of their type or optical statistics. The theoretical and experimental results demonstrated that the real and imaginary parts of the structures could be simultaneously recovered with high precision. We believe that such a protocol can be widely employed in phase measurement, optical imaging, and image transfer. | Xin Liu Qian Chen Jun Zeng Yangjian Cai Chunhao Liang | 2023 | Opto-Electronic Science2023,2,2: | 0
