| 1 | Risk assessment of heavy metals in soils and vegetables around nonferrous metals mining and smelting sites,Baiyin,China显示文摘A field survey was conducted to investigate the metal and arsenic contamination in soils and vegetables on four villages (Shuichuan (SCH), Beiwan (BWA), Dongwan (DWA) and Wufe (WFE)) located along, Baiyin, China, and to evaluate the possible health risks to local population through foodchain. Results show that the most significantly contaminated soils occurred upstream at SCH where Cd, Cu and As concentrations exceeded maximum allowable concentrations for Chinese agricultural soil. Further downstream the degree of contamination semi-systematically decreased in concentrations of metal. Generally, the leafy vegetables were more heavily contaminated than non-leafy vegetables. Chinese cabbage is the most severely contaminated, the concentrations of Cd exceeded the maximum permit levels (0.05 mg/kg) by 4.5 times. Bio-accumulate factor also shows that an entry of Cd to food chain plants is the greatest potential. Furthermore, the estimated daily intake amounts of the considered toxic elements (Cd, Pb and Cu) from the vegetables grown at SCH and BWA and DWA have exceeded the recommended dietary allowance levels. | 6 | A huge oceanic-type UHP metamorphic belt in southwestern Tianshan, China: Peak metamorphic age and P-T path显示文摘Recent progress in the study of the UHP metamorphic belt in southwestern Tianshan,China,is summarized in this paper.This about 80-km-long and over 10-km-wide UHP belt has been recognized by the discovery of coesite,coesite pseudomorphs and other UHP minerals.It is the largest oceanic-type UHP metamorphic belt reported so far.It has formed due to northward subduction of the Tianshan Paleo-Ocean.U-Pb dating of metamorphic rims of zircons from a coesite-bearing garnet-phengite schist yields a peak UHP metamorphic ages of 320±3.7 Ma.Combined with ages of 233–226 Ma obtained from rims of zircons from retrograded eclogites,a long retrograde metamorphic evolution(>70 Ma)has been revealed.According to phase equilibria modeling,the P-T paths of both coesite-bearing eclogites and garnet-phengite schists are characterized by thermal relaxation,i.e.,the metamorphic temperature peak lags behind the pressure peak,indicating that the UHP rocks experienced slow and long heating and decompression during exhumation in the subduction channel.On the basis of the field observation that a small amount of eclogite lenses is wrapped in large volumes of metapelites,and the similar P-T paths of both rock types,we propose that the exhumation of the UHP eclogites from southwestern Tianshan,China,may have resulted from the exhumation of large volumes of low-density metapelites,which carried the denser eclogites to the Earth’s surface. | ZHANG LiFei DU JinXue Lü Zeng YANG Xin GOU LongLong XIA Bin CHEN ZhenYu WEI ChunJing SONG ShuGuang | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,35: | 19 |

| 8 | Abnormal Failure Analysis of H13 Punches in Steel Squeeze Casting Process显示文摘In steel squeeze casting process, the working condition of a punch was very rigorous. The abnormal failure models of an H13 punch, such as plastic rubbed damnification, could not be avoided easily. Based on the analysis of the flow stress and the friction-shearing stress of an H13 punch in steel squeeze casting process, the following results were obtained: if the flow stress of an H13 punch was smaller than its friction-shearing stress, these abnormal failures could not be avoided; and if there were some protection measures that enable the flow stress to have a greater value than its friction-shearing one, the abnormal failures would not occur. | 12 | Micro RNA profiles and potential regulatory pattern during the early stage of spermatogenesis in mice显示文摘Spermatogenesis is a complicated and poorly understood process that relies on the precise regulation of the self-renewal and differentiation of spermatogonia. In many organisms, micro RNAs(mi RNAs) are involved in multiple developmental processes as critical regulators of transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene silencing. This study investigated the expression pattern of mi RNAs in type B spermatogonia cells(BSc) and primary spermatocytes(PSc) of mice, using a high-throughput small RNA sequencing system. The results revealed that the expression levels of Let-7 family mi RNAs were remarkably high in both cell types. Furthermore, the expression levels of mi R-21, mi R-140-3p, mi R-103, mi R-30 a, mi R-101 b and mi R-99 b were decreased during the transformation from BSc to PSc. These mi RNAs target vital genes that participate in apoptosis, cell proliferation and differentiation, junction assembly and cell cycle regulation. | 13 | Desulfurization metabolite of Rhodococcus erythropolis LSSE8-1 and its related desulfurizational gene fragments显示文摘Rhodococcus erythropolis LSSE8-1 is a newly isolated biodesulfurizaion strain from the soil of Chishui gas field, Guizhou Province, China. The analysis of its metabo-lism product shows that the strain is a kind of biocatalyst able to oxidize dibenzothiophene (DBT) to 2-hydroxydi- phenyl (HBP), and therefore the sulfur in DBT is selectively removed. By using DBTO2 (dibenzothiophene 5,5-dioxide) as substrate, both DBT and HBP are found in the culture, which shows that the reaction from DBT to DBTO2 is re-versible in the cell. While using 0.5 mmol/L DBT as control, 0.01—0.4 mmol/L DBTO2 shows poisonous effect to the cell, which will explain why there is no DBTO2 accumulation in the process of biodesulfurization. After treatment by lysozme, the plasmid DNA of the strain is isolated by alkaline method to be used as the template of PCR reaction. Three dsz gene fragments of 1.3, 1.0 and 1.2 kb respectively were amplified. Each fragment is ligate with PGEM-T vector, and cloned into E. coli. DH5. The clone DNA is sequenced and the result shows that dsz related genes are highly conservative. | 15 | Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications of the Paiku Leucogranites,Northern Himalaya显示文摘The Himalayan leucogranites provide insights into the partial melting behavior of relatively deeper crustal rocks and tectono-magmatic history of the Himalayan Orogen. The Paiku leucogranites of northern Himalaya can be subdivided into two-mica leucogranite(TML), garnet-bearing leucogranite(GL), cordierite-bearing leucogranite(CL), and tourmaline-bearing leucogranite(TL). All of them are high-K, peraluminous, calc-alkalic to alkali-calcic rocks. They are enriched in light rare earth elements(LREE) and large ion lithophile elements(LILE), and show pronounced negative anomalies of Sr, Ba, K and Ti, but positive anomalies of Nb and Rb. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating of one TML, one GL, and two CL samples yielded variable 206Pb/238U ages ranging from 23.6 to 16.1 Ma, indicating the Paiku leucogranites underwent a low degree of partial melting process. Combining with previous studies, we suggest the Paiku leucogranites were derived from partial melting of metasedimentary rocks of the Higher Himalayan Sequence(HHS). The GL and TL mainly resulted from the muscovite-dehydration melting, whereas the TML and CL were mainly derived from the biotite-dehydration melting. | 17 | High strain rate compressive strength behavior of cemented paste backfill using split Hopkinson pressure bar显示文摘The stability of cemented paste backfill(CPB)is threatened by dynamic disturbance,but the conventional low strain rate laboratory pressure test has difficulty achieving this research purpose.Therefore,a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)was utilized to investigate the high strain rate compressive behavior of CPB with dynamic loads of 0.4,0.8,and 1.2 MPa.And the failure modes were determined by macro and micro analysis.CPB with different cement-to-tailings ratios,solid mass concentrations,and curing ages was prepared to conduct the SHPB test.The results showed that increasing the cement content,tailings content,and curing age can improve the dynamic compressive strength and elastic modulus.Under an impact load,a higher strain rate can lead to larger increasing times of the dynamic compressive strength when compared with static loading.And the dynamic compressive strength of CPB has an exponential correlation with the strain rate.The macroscopic failure modes indicated that CPB is more seriously damaged under dynamic loading.The local damage was enhanced,and fine cracks were formed in the interior of the CPB.This is because the CPB cannot dissipate the energy of the high strain rate stress wave in a short loading period. | Xin Chen Xiuzhi Shi Jian Zhou Enming Li Peiyong Qiu Yonggang Gou | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,3: | 3 |
