| 3 | Understanding the molecular structure of HSW coal at atomic level:A comprehensive characterization from combined experimental and computational study显示文摘In this work,the coal samples from Hongshiwan(HSW)mining area,Ningxia,northwest of China,are characterized by using several modern materials characterization techniques,such as proximate and ultimate analyses,solid state 13C nuclear magnetic resonance(13C NMR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR).Then the key information about elements,valence,and chemical bonding for coal molecular structural construction is obtained.The results reveal that the main structure of HSW coal has 75.96%aromatic skeleton in mass.The ratio of aromatic bridge carbon to aromatic peripheral carbon of HSW coal is 0.315,indicating more naphthalene than benzene and anthracene in coal structures.Oxygen predominantly presents in the forms of ether(C–O),carbonyl(C=O)and carboxyl(–COO).Nitrogen presents in the forms of both pyridine and pyrrole.Methyl(–CH_(3))group is predominant in cyclic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.Based on obtained structural information and the approaches of average molecular structure,the single molecular formula of HSW coal is defined as C_(221)H_(148)O_(28)N_(2),with a molecular weight of 3142.32.Also,the 2D and 3D molecular model of HSW coal are built with computeraided modeling.The model is optimized and further verified by FT-IR and^(13)C NMR spectra simulation with quantum chemical calculations.Besides,a more complicated structure of complex model for HSW coal containing 10 single-molecules is also obtained.Therefore,molecular structure of HSW coal has been comprehensively depicted and understood at atomic level from both experimental and quantum chemical approaches in the current work. | Wei Feng Zhuangmei Li Hongfeng Gao Qiang Wang Hongcun Bai Ping Li | 2021 | Green Energy & Environment2021,6,1: | 3 |

| 5 | Local delivery of superagonist gene based on polymer nanoparticles for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer is the leading cause that threatens human life expectancy due to the lack of effective therapies.Cancer immunotherapy has been explored to improve the body's immune system against cancer and accompanied by promising results in recent years.Interleukin 15(IL-15),a pleiotropic immunomodulator,is critical for immune cells development and displays great anti-tumor potential in both preclinical and clinical trials.In this study,superagonist IL-15 plasmid(psIL-15)consisting of IL-15Rα-sushi-linker-IL-15 was constructed in order to secret superagonist IL-15(sIL-15)in tumor site.A gene delivery system through self-assembly by methylated polyethylene glycol-b-polylactic acid-b-methylated polyethylene glycol(m PEG-PLA-m PEG)and 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium-propane(DOTAP),named DMAM,was designed to deliver psIL-15.Further study showed that DMAM/psIL-15 could successfully deliver psIL-15 to tumor cells and the supernatants of the tumor cells could further stimulate lymphocytes proliferation as well as activation in vitro.Local delivery of DMAM/psIL-15 in animal models demonstrated significant tumor inhibition through enhancing immune cells responses,reducing angiogenesis,promoting tumor cell apoptosis and inhibiting proliferation,with no evidence of system toxicities.These results indicate that DMAM/psIL-15 may be a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy. | Zehua Hong Xin Zan Ting Yu Yuzhu Hu Hongfeng Gou Songping Zheng Xiang Gao Peizhi Zhou | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,3: | 1 |

| 7 | Regulation of autophagic flux by CHIP显示文摘Autophagy is a major degradation system which processes substrates through the steps of autophagosome formation, autophagosome-lysosome fusion, and substrate degradation. Aberrant autophagic flux is present in many pathological conditions including neurodegeneration and tumors. CHIP/STUB1, an E3 ligase, plays an important role in neurodegeneration. In this study, we identified the regulation of autophagic flux by CHIP(carboxy-terminus of Hsc70-interacting protein). Knockdown of CHIP induced autophagosome formation through increasing the PTEN protein level and decreasing the AKT/m TOR activity as well as decreasing phosphorylation of ULK1 on Ser757. However, degradation of the autophagic substrate p62 was disturbed by knockdown of CHIP, suggesting an abnormality of autophagic flux. Furthermore, knockdown of CHIP increased the susceptibility of cells to autophagic cell death induced by bafilomycin A1. | 8 | Improving Hydration Resistance of MgO-CaO Clinkers by Depositing MgO Coating显示文摘By carbothermal reduction of Mg O with black carbon as reduction agent at a high temperature,Mg O was deposited on the surface of Mg O- Ca O clinker( as coating) to improve the clinker 's hydration resistance. In the paper,effect of deposition temperature and holding time on the hydration resistance of the treated Mg O-Ca O,the deposition mechanism and Mg O coating kinetics were investigated with hydration resistance test,X-ray diffractometry( XRD) and scanning electronic microscope( SEM). Results showed Mg O coating grew in a2D mode on the surface of Mg O- Ca O particles; the Mg O coating improved the hydration resistance of the coated Mg O- Ca O clinker,and the coated clinker would become stronger when coated at higher deposition temperature and longer holding time. In this study, fMSC-SSEA-4 cells expressing SSEA-4 anti- gen were isolated from fetal marrow masenchymal stem cells (fMSCs) using immunomagnetic bead sorting technique. The totipotent cells were identified and their biological characteristics were further stud- ied. The expression of Oct-4 and SSEA-4, carcino- genicity, and the ability to differentiation of fMSC- SSEA-4 cells were evaluated to verify the totipotent potential. fMSC-SSEA-4 cells were isolated suc- cessfully from fMSCs (2.5% among fMSCs), while no obvious differences were seen in morphology, growth curve, cell cycle and immunophenotype, Oct-4 and SSEA-4 expression between fMSC-SSEA-4 cells and fMSCs. fMSC-SSEA-4 cells showed normal diploid chromosome karyotype and no carcinoma was in- duced after inoculation into nude mice. fMSC- SSEA-4 cells could be induced to fat cells, osteo- genic cells and neuron-like cells in vitro with different induced factors. | 13 | Heterogeneity of clinical features, EEG and brain imaging findings in anti‑leucine‑rich glioma‑inactivated protein 1 autoimmune encephalitis: a retrospective case series study and review of the literature显示文摘Background Anti-leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1(LGI-1)autoimmune encephalitis(AE),characterized by rapid decline of memory,seizures,and neuropsychiatric abnormalities,is a rare but devastating disorder.Early diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent long-term sequelae.In this report,we provide a detailed description of clinical characteristics,laboratory test results,imaging,and electroencephalography(EEG)findings,as well as treatment responses of eight patients with anti-LGI-1 AE treated at our center.Case presentation At the onset,all eight patients presented with confusion/memory deterioration,seizures(including faciobrachial dystonic seizures or other types of seizure),and behavioral changes such as hallucination,paranoia,and anxiety.Four patients were found with severe hyponatremia.Anti-LGI1 antibodies were detected in the cerebrospinal fluid and/or serum of all patients.For patients with faciobrachial dystonic seizures,no discernible scalp EEG change was detected,while EEG recording of patients experiencing other types of seizure showed focal slowing,focal epileptiform discharges,and focal onset seizures.All patients showed abnormal brain magnetic resonance imaging signals,mainly involving the mesial temporal lobe and the hippocampus.In addition,one patient also experienced fulminant cerebral edema during the acute phase of the illness.All patients received immunotherapy and anti-seizure medications and achieved good seizure control.Nevertheless,these patients continued to experience cognitive impairment during their long-term follow-ups.Conclusions The care of anti-LGI1 AE patients requires rapid evaluation,prompt initiation of immunotherapy,and long-term follow-up.The long-term presence of neurocognitive complications observed in these patients underline the importance of developing reliable biomarkers that can distinguish between different subtypes of this disease with heterogeneous clinico-electrographico-radiological features.Further research is needed to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the heterogeneity,in order to facilitate development of more effective treatments for anti-LGI1 AE. | Emily Yixuan Huang Hongfeng Gao Ning Zhong | 2023 | Acta Epileptologica2023,6,3: | 0 |
