| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 3 | Blown sand motion within the sand-control system in the southern section of the Taklimakan Desert Highway显示文摘Although scientists have performed many studies in the Taklimakan Desert, few of them have reported the blown sand motion along the southern edge of the Taklimakan Desert Highway, which differs significantly from the northern region in terms of aeolian sand geomorphology and formation environment. Based on the field observation data of airflow and aeolian sand transport, continuous monitoring data of erosional and depositional processes between 14 April 2009 and 9 April 2011 and data of surface sand grains from the classical section along the southern edge of the Taklimakan Desert Highway, this paper reported the blown sand motion within the sand-control system of the highway. The main results are as follows: 1) The existing sand-control system is highly effective in preventing and controlling desertification. Wind velocities within the sand-control system were approximately 33%–100% of those for the same height above the mobile sand surface. Aeolian sand fluxes were approximately 0–31.21% of those of the mobile sand surface. Sand grains inside the system, with a mean diameter of 2.89 φ, were finer than those(2.15 φ) outside the system. In addition, wind velocities basically followed a logarithmic law, but the airflow along the classical section was mainly determined by topography and vegetation. 2) There were obvious erosional and depositional phenomena above the surface within the sand-control system, and these phenomena have very consistent patterns for all observation points in the two observed years. The total thicknesses of erosion and deposition ranged from 0.30 to 14.60 cm, with a mean value of 3.67 cm. In contrast, the deposition thicknesses were 1.90–22.10 cm, with a mean value of 7.59 cm, and the erosion thicknesses were 3.51–15.10 cm, with a mean value of 8.75 cm. | 4 | Discrete Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Lot-streaming Flowshop with Total Flowtime Minimization显示文摘Unlike a traditional flowshop problem where a job is assumed to be indivisible, in the lot-streaming flowshop problem, a job is allowed to overlap its operations between successive machines by splitting it into a number of smaller sub-lots and moving the completed portion of the sub-lots to downstream machine. In this way, the production is accelerated. This paper presents a discrete artificial bee colony (DABC) algorithm for a lot-streaming flowshop scheduling problem with total flowtime criterion. Unlike the basic ABC algorithm, the proposed DABC algorithm represents a solution as a discrete job permutation. An efficient initialization scheme based on the extended Nawaz-Enscore-Ham heuristic is utilized to produce an initial population with a certain level of quality and diversity. Employed and onlooker bees generate new solutions in their neighborhood, whereas scout bees generate new solutions by performing insert operator and swap operator to the best solution found so far. Moreover, a simple but effective local search is embedded in the algorithm to enhance local exploitation capability. A comparative experiment is carried out with the existing discrete particle swarm optimization, hybrid genetic algorithm, threshold accepting, simulated annealing and ant colony optimization algorithms based on a total of 160 randomly generated instances. The experimental results show that the proposed DABC algorithm is quite effective for the lot-streaming flowshop with total flowtime criterion in terms of searching quality, robustness and effectiveness. | 5 | Solving Multi-Area Environmental/Economic Dispatch by Pareto-Based Chemical-Reaction Optimization Algorithm显示文摘In this study, we present a Pareto-based chemicalreaction optimization(PCRO) algorithm for solving the multiarea environmental/economic dispatch optimization problems.Two objectives are minimized simultaneously, i.e., total fuel cost and emission. In the proposed algorithm, each solution is represented by a chemical molecule. A novel encoding mechanism for solving the multi-area environmental/economic dispatch optimization problems is designed to dynamically enhance the performance of the proposed algorithm. Then, an ensemble of effective neighborhood approaches is developed, and a selfadaptive neighborhood structure selection mechanism is also embedded in PCRO to increase the search ability while maintaining population diversity. In addition, a grid-based crowding distance strategy is introduced, which can obviously enable the algorithm to easily converge near the Pareto front. Furthermore,a kinetic-energy-based search procedure is developed to enhance the global search ability. Finally, the proposed algorithm is tested on sets of the instances that are generated based on realistic production. | 6 | TXNDC5 synergizes with HSC70 to exacerbate the inflammatory phenotype of synovial fibroblasts in rheumatoid arthritis through NF-κB signaling显示文摘The upregulated expression of thioredoxin domain-containing protein 5(TXNDC5)is associated with rheumatoid arthritis in patients and model mice.However,the underlying mechanism by which TXNDC5 influences the pathological activation of rheumatoid arthritis synovial fibroblasts(RASFs)remains unknown.In this study,we show that TXNDC5 expression in RASFs and their cytokine production are significantly upregulated in response to LPS,TNF-αand IL-6,but suppressed by transfection with TXNDC5-siRNA.TXNDC5 is further validated as the direct target of NF-κB signaling.Mechanistically,TXNDC5 directly interacts with heat shock cognate 70 protein(HSC70)to sequester it in the cytoplasm,and HSC70 silencing exerts the same effects as TXNDC5 on the biological activity of RASFs(for example,decreased cell viability,invasion and cytokine production).Furthermore,HSC70 activates NF-κB signaling by destabilizing IκBβprotein in the absence of LPS or facilitating its nuclear translocation in the presence of LPS.Importantly,TXNDC5 can also regulate the activity of NF-κB signaling in a HSC70-IκBβ-dependent manner.Taken together,by linking HSC70 and NF-κB signaling,TXNDC5 plays a pro-inflammatory role in RASFs,highlighting a potential approach to treat RA by blocking the TXNDC5/HSC70 interaction. | Lin Wang Hongyan Dong Guanhua Song Rui Zhang Jihong Pan Jinxiang Han | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,7: | 5 |
| 7 | Method of neural network modulation recognition based on clustering and Polak-Ribiere algorithm显示文摘To improve the recognition rate of signal modulation recognition methods based on the clustering algorithm under the low SNR, a modulation recognition method is proposed. The characteristic parameter of the signal is extracted by using a clustering algorithm, the neural network is trained by using the algorithm of variable gradient correction(Polak-Ribiere) so as to enhance the rate of convergence, improve the performance of recognition under the low SNR and realize modulation recognition of the signal based on the modulation system of the constellation diagram.Simulation results show that the recognition rate based on this algorithm is enhanced over 30% compared with the methods that adopt clustering algorithm or neural network based on the back propagation algorithm alone under the low SNR. | 11 | Facile Conjugation of Heparin onto Titanium Surfaces via Dopamine Inspired Coatings for Improving Blood Compatibility显示文摘Immobilization of heparin on biomaterials surface has been proven to be an effective strategy for preventing thrombus formation. However, the procedures of most immobilization methods(physical adsorption, covalent linkage, electrostatic interaction) are complicated and time-consuming. In the present study, heparin with various concentrations immobilized on a titanium(Ti) substrate via polydopamine layer for improving blood compatibility was investigated. Water contact angle measurement showed that the immobilization of heparin resulted in an increase of the hydrophilicity. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Toluidine Blue O(TBO) tests displayed that the heparin molecules were successfully immobilized on Ti surface. The evaluations of blood compatibility(hemolysis rate, APTT, platelet adhesion and activation, fibrinogen conformational change) showed that the immobilization of heparin decreased hemolysis rate, prolonged blood coagulation time, reduced platelets adhesion and activation, and induced less fibrinogen conformational change. Moreover, a significant inhibition of blood coagulation and platelet adhesion was obtained when the heparin concentration was higher than 5 mg/mL, indicating that only with a certain surface densities could heparin perform its anticoagulant properties well. The results suggest that the immobilization of heparin via polydopamine layer can confer excellent antithrombotic properties, and the heparin immobilization method via polydopamine layer provides an alternative approach for other biomolecules immobilization on biomaterials surface. | 14 | Plasma-enhanced interfacial engineering of FeSiAl@PUA@SiO_(2)hybrid for efficient microwave absorption and anti-corrosion显示文摘Microwave absorption materials are prone to degradation in extremely humid and salty environments,and it is still challenging to develop a dense and firm interface to protect microwave absorbers.Herein,a robust FeSiAl@PUA@SiO2(PUA:acrylic polyurethane)gradient hybrid was prepared through plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PECVD)to achieve efficient microwave absorption and anti-corrosion properties.The organic/inorganic dual coat of PUA/SiO2 not only facilitated the interface polarization but also effectively reduced the dielectric constant and optimized impedance matching.Owing to the unique hybrid structure,the(PECVD-FeSiAl@PUA)@SiO_(2) exhibited highly efficient microwave absorbing performance in frequency bands covering almost the entire Ku-bands(12-18 GHz)with a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of−47 dB with a matching thickness of 2.3 mm.The organic/inorganic dual protection effectively shields against the corrosive medium,as the corrosion potential and the polarization resistance increased from−0.167 to−0.047 V and 8,064 to 16,273Ω·cm^(2),respectively.While the corrosion current decreased from 3.04×10^(−6) to 2.16×10^(−6) A/cm^(2).Hence,the plasma-enhanced densification of PUA created a strong bridge to integrate FeSiAl and organic/inorganic components acquiring dual-function of efficient microwave absorption and anticorrosion,which opened a promising platform for potential practical absorbers. | Hongyan Zhang Feng Cao Hui Xu Wei Tian Ying Pan Nasir Mahmood Xian Jian | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 2 |

| 16 | Shaking Table Tests and Seismic Response of Three-Bucket Jacket Foundations for Offshore Wind Turbines显示文摘The seismic response characteristics of three-bucket jacket foundations for offshore wind turbines(OWTs)and the liquefaction of the surrounding soil are particularly important for the development and application of this type of structure for offshore use.Using the shaking table test and three-dimensional finite element analysis,different magnitudes of simulated earthquake waves were used as inputs to the shaking table to model seismic excitations.The resulting changes in the excess pore water pressure and acceleration response of the soil under horizontal earthquake are compared in this paper.Calculations of the anti-liquefaction shear stress and equivalent shearing stress during the earthquake,determination of the areas prone to liquefaction,and identification of the effect of the three-bucket jacket foundation on the soil liquefaction resistance were conducted by developing a soil-structure finite element model.The development law of the soil’s amplification effect on seismic acceleration and the seismic response of the foundation soil under various magnitude earthquake waves were also discussed.Results indicate that liquefying the soil inside the bucket of the foundation is more difficult than that outside the bucket during the excitation of seismic waves due to the large upper load and the restraint of the surrounding hoop.This finding confirms the advantages of the three-bucket jacket foundations in improving the liquefaction resistance of the soil inside the bucket.However,the confinement has a barely noticeable impact on the nearby soil outside the skirt.The phenomenon of soil liquefaction at the bottom of the skirt occurred earlier than that in other positions during the seismic excitation,and the excess pore water pressure slowly dissipated.The acceleration amplification coefficient of the sand outside the bucket increases with depth,but that of the sand inside the bucket is substantially inhibited in the height range of the bucket foundation.This result proves the inhibition effects of the three-bucket jacket foundations on the seismic responses of soils.The liquefied soil layer has a significant effect in absorbing a certain amount of seismic wave energy and reducing the amplification effect.The numerical simulation results are consistent with the phenomenon and data measured during the shaking table test.The current study also verifies the feasibility of the excess pore water pressure ratio and the anti-liquefaction shear stress method for judging soil liquefaction. | DING Hongyan PAN Chen ZHANG Puyang WANG Le XU Yunlong | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,3: | 1 |

The effect of copper valence of the catalysts on the catalytic activity for styrene combustion was discussed using the theory of hard soft acids and bases(HSAB).The results showed that the existence of water vapor in feed stream inhibited the catalytic activity for styrene combustion due to the competition adsorption of water molecule.
