10Method of Generating Strategic Guidance Information for Driving Evacuation Flows to Approach Safety-Based System Optimal Dynamic Flows: Case Study of a Large Stadium显示文摘In previous evacuation flow planning, a system optimal dynamic traffic assignment(SODTA) did not consider the exogenous costs caused by potential traffic accidents. A traffic accident,which might occur as a result of traffic congestion, will impact an evacuation process because of accidentrelated delays experienced by the downstream vehicles. This paper establishes a safety-based SO-DTA linear programming model in which the generalized system cost incorporates both the travel time and the accident-related delay. The goal is to minimize the generalized system cost under the cell transmission setup. Furthermore, the authors provide strategic guidance information that considers both the objective of the decision maker and the route choice behavior of the evacuees. Mathematically,the authors propose an unconstrained non-linear programming model aimed at minimizing the gap between the safety-based flows and the stochastic real-world evacuation flows, to provide strategic travel time information to be published on variable message signs(VMS). 12Glycolytic potential enhanced by blockade of pyruvate influx into mitochondria sensitizes prostate cancer to detection and radiotherapy显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the effects of mitochondrial pyruvate carrier(MPC)blockade on the sensitivity of detection and radiotherapy of prostate cancer(PCa).Methods:We investigated glycolysis reprogramming and MPC changes in patients with PCa by using metabolic profiling,RNASeq,and tissue microarrays.Transient blockade of pyruvate influx into mitochondria was observed in cellular studies to detect its different effects on prostate carcinoma cells and benign prostate cells.Xenograft mouse models were injected with an MPC inhibitor to evaluate the sensitivity of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography with computed tomography and radiotherapy of PCa.Furthermore,the molecular mechanism of this different effect of transient blockage towards benign prostate cells and prostate cancer cells was studied in vitro.Results:MPC was elevated in PCa tissue compared with benign prostate tissue,but decreased during cancer progression.The transient blockade increased PCa cell proliferation while decreasing benign prostate cell proliferation,thus increasing the sensitivity of PCa cells to 18F-PET/CT(SUVavg,P=0.016;SUVmax,P=0.03)and radiotherapy(P<0.01).This differential effect of MPC on PCa and benign prostate cells was dependent on regulation by a VDAC1-MPC-mitochondrial homeostasis-glycolysis pathway.Conclusions:Blockade of pyruvate influx into mitochondria increased glycolysis levels in PCa but not in non-carcinoma prostate tissue.This transient blockage sensitized PCa to both detection and radiotherapy,thus indicating that glycolytic potential is a novel mechanism underlying PCa progression.The change in the mitochondrial pyruvate influx caused by transient MPC blockade provides a critical target for PCa diagnosis and treatment.Huan Xu Junyi Chen Zhi Cao Xi Chen Caihong Huang Jin Ji Yalong Xu Junfeng Jiang Yue Wang Guowang Xu Lina Zhou Jingyi He Xuedong Wei Jason Boyang Wu Zhong Wang Shancheng Ren Fubo Wang 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,9:1
13Combined effects of high temperature and waterlogging on yield and stem development of summer maize显示文摘The purpose of this study was to identify the physiological mechanism underlying the effects of high temperature and waterlogging on summer maize.The stem development and yield of the maize hybrid Denghai 605 in response to high-temperature stress,waterlogging stress,and their combination applied for six days at the third-leaf,sixth-leaf,and tasseling stages were recorded.The combined stresses reduced lignin biosynthetic enzyme activity and lignin accumulation,leading to abnormal stem development.Reduction of the area and number of vascular bundles in stems led to reduced dry matter accumulation and allocation.Decreased grain dry weight at all three stages reduced grain yield relative to a control.In summary,high temperature,waterlogging,and their combined stress impaired stem development and grain yield of summer maize.The combined stresses were more damaging than either stress alone.Jingyi Shao Peng Liu Bin Zhao Jiwang Zhang Xiangyu Zhao Baizhao Ren 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:1
14Intermolecular charge-transfer aggregates enable high-efficiency near-infrared emissions by nonadiabatic coupling suppression显示文摘Pursuing purely organic materials with high-efficiency near-infrared(NIR) emissions is fundamentally limited by the large nonradiative decay rates(k_(nr)) governed by the energy gap law. To date, reported endeavors to decelerate k_(nr) are mainly focused on reducing the electron-vibration coupling with the electronic nonadiabatic coupling assumed as a constant. Here, we demonstrated a feasible and innovative strategy by employing intermolecular charge-transfer(CT) aggregates(CTA) to realize high-efficiency NIR emissions via nonadiabatic coupling suppression. The formation of CTA engenders intermolecular CT in the excited states;thereby, not only reducing the electronic nonadiabatic coupling and contributing to small k_(nr) for high-efficiency NIR photoluminescence, but also stabilizing excited-state energies and achieving thermally activated delayed fluorescence for highefficiency NIR electroluminescence. 15New Insight on Graphite Anode Degradation Induced by Li-Plating显示文摘Graphite is the dominant anode material for lithium-ion batteries;however,it still suffers from Li-plating when charging fast or at low temperature,and Liplating is associated with performance fading and safety concerns.Herein,we clarify the mechanism of lithium evolution from graphite particles by overlithiation cycle test,in-situ XRD,and titration gas chromatography.We observe that the graphite intercalation compounds(GICs,LiC_(12) and LiC_(6)e.g.)gradually become inactive and wrapped by dead lithium or side reaction sediments,while the rate of this degradation will be accelerated as the overpotential of Liplating is decreased after initial Li metal nucleation.This understanding is contradictory to the popular one that the degradation of graphite anode after Li plating is mainly caused by the inferior SEI and dead Li induced hindering of Li-ion intercalation.The isolation of lithiated graphite particles leading to the fast vanishing of Li insertion/deintercalation process in graphite anodes.We further study the insertion/deintercalation vanishing process at low temperature and high rates,respectively.This work provides a insight on graphite anode degradation induced by Li-plating,and the new understanding can be used to guide the design of advanced materials and electrodes to avoid Li-plating and achieve extreme fast while safe charging.Yongchuang Xiong Yan Liu Long Chen Songtong Zhang Xiayu Zhu Tengteng Shen Dongsheng Ren Xiangming He Jingyi Qiu Li Wang Qiao Hu Hao Zhang 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,3:0
16Large-scale spatial data visualization method based on augmented reality显示文摘Background A task assigned to space exploration satellites involves detecting the physical environment within a certain space.However,space detection data are complex and abstract.These data are not conducive for researchers'visual perceptions of the evolution and interaction of events in the space environment.Methods A time-series dynamic data sampling method for large-scale space was proposed for sample detection data in space and time,and the corresponding relationships between data location features and other attribute features were established.A tone-mapping method based on statistical histogram equalization was proposed and applied to the final attribute feature data.The visualization process is optimized for rendering by merging materials,reducing the number of patches,and performing other operations.Results The results of sampling,feature extraction,and uniform visualization of the detection data of complex types,long duration spans,and uneven spatial distributions were obtained.The real-time visualization of large-scale spatial structures using augmented reality devices,particularly low-performance devices,was also investigated.Conclusions The proposed visualization system can reconstruct the three-dimensional structure of a large-scale space,express the structure and changes in the spatial environment using augmented reality,and assist in intuitively discovering spatial environmental events and evolutionary rules.Xiaoning QIAO Wenming XIE Xiaodong PENG Guangyun LI Dalin LI Yingyi GUO Jingyi REN 2024虚拟现实与智能硬件(中英文)2024,6,2:0
17Deletion of all three MAP kinase genes results in severe defects in stress responses and pathogenesis in Fusarium graminearum显示文摘Mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)cascades are activated by external stimuli and convert signals to cellular changes.Individual MAPKs have been characterized in a number of plant pathogenic fungi for their roles in pathogenesis and responses to biotic or abiotic stresses.However,mutants deleted of all the MAPK genes have not been reported in filamentous fungi.To determine the MAPK-less effects in a fungal pathogen,in this study we generated and characterized mutants deleted of all three MAPK genes in the wheat scab fungus Fusarium graminearum.The Gpmk1 mgv1 Fghog1 triple mutants had severe growth defects and was non-pathogenic.It was defective in infection cushion formation and DON production.Conidiation was reduced in the triple mutant,which often produced elongated conidia with more septa than the wild-type conidia.The triple mutant was blocked in sexual reproduction due to the loss of female fertility.Lack of any MAPKs resulted in an increased sensitivity to various abiotic stress including cell wall,osmotic,oxidative stresses,and phytoalexins,which are likely related to the defects of the triple mutant in environmental adaptation and plant infection.The triple mutant also had increased sensitivity to the biocontrol bacterium Bacillus velezensis and fungus Clonostachys rosea.In co-incubation assays with B.velezensis,the Gpmk1 mgv1 Fghog1 mutant had more severe growth limitation than the wild type and was defective in conidium germination and germ tube growth.In confrontation assays,the triple mutant was defective in defending against mycoparasitic activities of C.rosea and the latter could grow over the mutant but not wild-type F.graminearum.RNA-seq and metabolomics analyses showed that the MAPK triple mutant was altered in the expression of many ATP-binding cassette(ABC)and major facilitator superfamily(MFS)transporter genes and the accumulation of metabolites related to arachidonic acid,linoleic acid,and alpha-linolenic acid metabolisms.Overall,as the first study on mutants deleted of all three MAPKs in fungal pathogens,our results showed that although MAPKs are not essential for growth and asexual reproduction,the Gpmk1 mgv1 Fghog1 triple mutant was blocked in plant infection and sexual reproductions.It also had severe defects in responses to various abiotic stresses and bacterial-or fungal-fungal interactions.Jingyi Ren Yuhan Zhang Yuhua Wang Chengliang Li Zhuyun Bian Xue Zhang Huiquan Liu Jin-Rong Xu Cong Jiang 2022Stress Biology2022,2,1:0
18Fungal diversity notes 1512–1610: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions on genera and species of fungal taxa显示文摘This article is the 14th in the Fungal Diversity Notes series,wherein we report 98 taxa distributed in two phyla,seven classes,26 orders and 50 families which are described and illustrated.Taxa in this study were collected from Australia,Brazil,Burkina Faso,Chile,China,Cyprus,Egypt,France,French Guiana,India,Indonesia,Italy,Laos,Mexico,Russia,Sri Lanka,Thailand,and Vietnam.There are 59 new taxa,39 new hosts and new geographical distributions with
