Compound Danshen tablets downregulate amyloid protein precursor mRNA expression in a transgenic cell model of Alzheimer's disease Effects and a comparison with donepezil显示文摘After gene mutation, the pcDNA3.1/APP595/596 plasmid was transfected into HEK293 cells to establish a cell model of Alzheimer's disease. The cell model was treated with donepezil or compound Danshen tablets after culture for 72 hours. Reverse transcription-PCR showed that the mRNA expression of amyloid protein precursor decreased in all groups following culture for 24 hours, and that there was no significant difference in the amount of decrease between donepezil and compound Danshen tablets. Our results suggest that compound Danshen tablets can reduce expression of the mRNA for amyloid protein precursor in a transgenic cell model of Alzheimer's disease, with similar effects to donepezil. | Ren'an Qin Desheng Zhou Jiajun Wang Hua Hu Yang Yang Xiaoxuan Yao Xiaopeng Sun | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,9: | 8
Construction of polysulfides defense system for greatly improving the long cycle life of metal sulfide anodes for sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Metal sulfides are promising anode materials for sodium ion batteries(SIBs)due to their high theoretical specific capacity and abundant source.Nevertheless, significant challenges, including large volume change, sluggish Na^(+)transport kinetics and polysulfides intermediates, have greatly affect their long cycle stability.Unfortunately, the majority of current studies only focus on the first two aspects, but lack of sufficient attention and insights into the effect of polysulfides intermediates. Here,a porous of CoS_(x)(P-CoS_(x))electrode material is fabricated as an example to investigate the influence of polysulfides on its cycling performance. The results show that polysulfides cause a slight loss of reversible capacity during the battery cycling, while the failure of the battery is due to its significant fluctuations in reversible capacity after extensive cycles.Detailed analyses demonstrate that the intense fluctuation in capacity originates from the faster growth of dendrites caused by the reaction of sodium polysulfides with sodium foil and/or the reaction of elemental sulfur with sodium foil to penetrate the separator, resulting in a local short circuit. To suppress these undesirable side reaction,N,S co-doped porous carbon tubes(N,S-PC)rich in C–S and C–N bonds have been added to adsorb polysulfides and alleviate their reaction with sodium foil.As a result, the capacity of the P-CoS_(x) electrode with N,S-PC(P-CoS_(x)/N,S-PC)remains stable without significant fluctuations for 1000 cycles, which is much better than that of the pure P-CoS_(x) electrode(intense fluctuation in capacity after 320 cycles). Our work offers insights into the crucial influence of polysulfides on the cycle performance of the P-CoS_(x) anode and provides a feasible strategy to prolong the cycle life of metal sulfide anode for SIBs. | Xucai Yin Yang Ren Libin Wu Zhiguo Zhang Chunyu Du Jiajun Wang Gepin Yin Hua Huo | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8: | 1
Electron-ion collider in China显示文摘Lepton scattering is an established ideal tool for studying inner structure of small particles such as nucleons as well as nuclei. As a future high energy nuclear physics project,an Electron-ion collider in China(EicC)has been proposed. It will be constructed based on an upgraded heavy-ion accelerator,High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility(HIAF)which is currently under construction, together with a new electron ring. The proposed collider will provide highly polarized electrons(with a po-larization of 80%)and protons(with a polarization of 70%)with variable center of mass energies from 15 to 20 GeV and the luminosity of(2–3)×1033 cm^(−2)·s^(−1).Polarized deuterons and Helium-3,as well as unpolarized ion beams from Carbon to Uranium, will be also available at the EicC.The main foci of the EicC will be precision measurements of the structure of the nucleon in the sea quark region, including 3D tomography of nucleon;the partonic structure of nuclei and the parton interaction with the nuclear environment;the exotic states, especially those with heavy flavor quark contents. In addition, issues fundamental to understanding the origin of mass could be addressed by measurements of heavy quarkonia near-threshold production at the EicC.In order to achieve the above-mentioned physics goals,a hermetical detector system will be constructed with cutting-edge technologies. This document is the result of collective contributions and valuable inputs from experts across the globe. The EicC physics program complements the ongoing scientific programs at the Jefferson Laboratory and the future EIC project in the United States. The success of this project will also advance both nuclear and particle physics as well as accelerator and detector technology in China. | Daniele PAnderle Valerio Bertone Xu Cao Lei Chang Ningbo Chang Gu Chen Xurong Chen Zhuojun Chen Zhufang Cui Lingyun Dai Weitian Deng Minghui Ding Xu Feng Chang Gong Longcheng Gui Feng-Kun Guo Chengdong Han Jun He Tie-Jiun Hou Hongxia Huang Yin Huang KrešImir KumeričKi LPKaptari Demin Li Hengne Li Minxiang Li Xueqian Li Yutie Liang Zuotang Liang Chen Liu Chuan Liu Guoming Liu Jie Liu Liuming Liu Xiang Liu Tianbo Liu Xiaofeng Luo Zhun Lyu Boqiang Ma Fu Ma Jianping Ma Yugang Ma Lijun Mao Cédric Mezrag HervéMoutarde Jialun Ping Sixue Qin Hang Ren Craig DRoberts Juan Rojo Guodong Shen Chao Shi Qintao Song Hao Sun PawełSznajder Enke Wang Fan Wang Qian Wang Rong Wang Ruiru Wang Taofeng Wang Wei Wang Xiaoyu Wang Xiaoyun Wang Jiajun Wu Xinggang Wu Lei Xia Bowen Xiao Guoqing Xiao Ju-Jun Xie Yaping Xie Hongxi Xing Hushan Xu Nu Xu Shusheng Xu Mengshi Yan Wenbiao Yan Wencheng Yan Xinhu Yan Jiancheng Yang Yi-Bo Yang Zhi Yang Deliang Yao Zhihong Ye Peilin Yin C-PYuan Wenlong Zhan Jianhui Zhang Jinlong Zhang Pengming Zhang Yifei Zhang Chao-Hsi Chang Zhenyu Zhang Hongwei Zhao Kuang-Ta Chao Qiang Zhao Yuxiang Zhao Zhengguo Zhao Liang Zheng Jian Zhou Xiang Zhou Xiaorong Zhou Bingsong Zou Liping Zou | 2021 | Frontiers of physics2021,16,6: | 1

Intermolecular charge-transfer aggregates enable high-efficiency near-infrared emissions by nonadiabatic coupling suppression显示文摘Pursuing purely organic materials with high-efficiency near-infrared(NIR) emissions is fundamentally limited by the large nonradiative decay rates(k_(nr)) governed by the energy gap law. To date, reported endeavors to decelerate k_(nr) are mainly focused on reducing the electron-vibration coupling with the electronic nonadiabatic coupling assumed as a constant. Here, we demonstrated a feasible and innovative strategy by employing intermolecular charge-transfer(CT) aggregates(CTA) to realize high-efficiency NIR emissions via nonadiabatic coupling suppression. The formation of CTA engenders intermolecular CT in the excited states;thereby, not only reducing the electronic nonadiabatic coupling and contributing to small k_(nr) for high-efficiency NIR photoluminescence, but also stabilizing excited-state energies and achieving thermally activated delayed fluorescence for highefficiency NIR electroluminescence. This work provides new insights into aggregates and opens a new avenue for organic materials to overcome the energy gap law and achieve high-efficiency NIR emissions. | Jie Xue Jingyi Xu Jiajun Ren Qingxin Liang Qi Ou Rui Wang Zhigang Shuai Juan Qiao | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,10: | 1

Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 8 | Magma Mixing as a Trigger for Sulphide Saturation in the UG2 Chromitite(Bushveld):Evidence from the Silicate and Sulphide Melt Inclusions in Chromite显示文摘It is of great importance to understand the origin of UG2 chromitite reefs and reasons why some chromitite reefs contain relatively high contents of platinum group elements(PGEs: Os, Ir, Ru, Rh,Pt, Pd) or highly siderophile elements(HSEs: Au, Re, PGE). This paper documents sulphide-silicate assemblages enclosed in chromite grains from the UG2 chromitite. These are formed as a result of crystallisation of sulphide and silicate melts that are trapped during chromite crystallisation. The inclusions display negative crystal shapes ranging from several micrometres to 100 μm in size.Interstitial sulphide assemblages lack pyrrhotite and consist of chalcopyrite, pentlandite and some pyrite. The electron microprobe data of these sulphides show that the pentlandite grains present in some of the sulphide inclusions have a significantly higher iron(Fe) and lower nickel(Ni) content than the pentlandite in the rock matrix. Pyrite and chalcopyrite show no difference. The contrast in composition between inter-cumulus plagioclase(An_(68)) and plagioclase enclosed in chromite(An_(13)), as well as the presence of quartz, is consistent with the existence of a felsic melt at the time of chromite saturation.Detailed studies of HSE distribution in the sulphides and chromite were conducted by LA-ICP-MS(laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry), which showed the following.(Ⅰ) Chromite contained no detectable HSE in solid solution.(Ⅱ) HSE distribution in sulphide assemblages interstitial to chromite was variable. In general, Pd, Rh, Ru and Ir occurred dominantly in pentlandite, whereas Os,Pt and Au were detected only in matrix sulphide grains and were clearly associated with Bi and Te.(Ⅲ)In the sulphide inclusions,(a) pyrrhotite did not contain any significant amount of HSE,(b) chalcopyrite contained only some Rh compared to the other sulphides,(c) pentlandite was the main host for Pd,(d)pyrite contained most of the Ru, Os, Ir and Re,(e) Pt and Rh were closely associated with Bi forming a continuous rim between pyrite and pentlandite and(f) no Au was detected. These results show that the use of ArF excimer laser to produce high-resolution trace element maps provides information that cannot be obtained by conventional(spot) LA-ICP-MS analysis or trace element maps that use relatively large beam diameters. | YAO Meijuan CAO Ye LIU Jiajun REN Zongbao | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,5: | 0
Bilayer hydrogel dressing with lysozymeenhanced photothermal therapy for biofilm eradication and accelerated chronic wound repair显示文摘Biofilms are closely associated with the tough healing and dysfunctional inflammation of chronic wounds.Photothermal therapy(PTT)emerged as a suitable alternative which could destroy the structure of biofilms with local physical heat. However, the efficacy of PTT is limited because the excessive hyperthermia could damage surrounding tissues.Besides, the difficult reserve and delivery of photothermal agents makes PTT hard to eradicate biofilms as expectation.Herein,we present a GelMA-EGF/Gelatin-MPDA-LZM bilayer hydrogel dressing to perform lysozyme-enhanced PTT for biofilms eradication and a further acceleration to the repair of chronic wounds.Gelatin was used as inner layer hydrogel to reserve lysozyme(LZM)loaded mesoporous polydopamine(MPDA)(MPDA-LZM)nanoparticles,which could rapidly liquefy while temperature rising so as to achieve a bulk release of nanoparticles.MPDA-LZM nanoparticles serve as photothermal agents with antibacterial capability, could deeply penetrate and destroy biofilms. In addition, the outer layer hydrogel consisted of gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)and epidermal growth factor(EGF)promoted wound healing and tissue regeneration. It displayed remarkable efficacy on alleviating infection and accelerating wound healing in vivo.Overall, the innovative therapeutic strategy we came up with has significant effect on biofilms eradication and shows promising application in promoting the repair of clinical chronic wounds. | Yizhen Wang Qijun Lv You Chen Langtao Xu Miao Feng Zhiyong Xiong Jiajun Li Jie Ren Jie Liu Bo Liu | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,1: | 0
Inhibition of proliferation, migration, and invasiveness of bladder cancer cells through SAPCD2 knockdown显示文摘Introduction:Bladder cancer(BC)has a high incidence and mortality rate worldwide.Suppressor anaphasepromoting complex domain containing 2(SAPCDC2)is over-expressed in a variety of tumors. Objectives:This study investigated the effects of SAPCD2 knockdown on BC cells.Methods:T24 and UMUC3 cell models and the xenografted BC tumor model with SAPCD2 knockdown were established to observe the malignant phenotype of BC cells by cell counting kit-8 assay, colony formation test, wound healing, and Transwell assay,mRNA and proteins expressions were measured with quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, western blotting, and tissue immunohistochemistry.Lithium chloride agonist on the Wnt/β-catenin pathway was used to clarify the molecular mechanism of SAPCD2 knockdown.Results:SAPCD2 expression was significantly higher in BC cell lines than in SVHUC-1 cells.SAPCD2 knockdown inhibited viability and cloning, hindered the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle in UMUC3 and T24 cells, and decreased the migration and invasiveness of BC cells.SAPCD2 knockdown inhibited expression levels of cyclin D1,cyclin B1,N-cadherin,vimentin,Snail,β-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclin-dependent kinase 4,while the P21 and E-cadherin were raised by SAPCD2 knockdown.Furthermore, lithium chloride reversed the effects of SAPCD2 knockdown on the expression levels of the above proteins in UMUC3 and T24 cells. In vivo,SAPCD2 knockdown inhibited the volume, weight, and expression of Ki-67 andβ-catenin in tumors and increased the E-cadherin expression.Conclusion:SAPCD2 knockdown inhibits the malignant phenotype of BC via a pathway involvingβ-catenin. | CHONG SHEN JIAJUN YAN YU REN ZHIRONG ZHU XIAOLONG ZHANG SHUIXIANG TAO | 2024 | BIOCELL2024,48,1: | 0
