Strain hardening behavior of Mg-Y alloys after extrusion process显示文摘The strain hardening is an effective mode of enhancing mechanical properties in alloys. In this work, the strain hardening behaviors of Mg-xY(x=1,2,and 3 wt%)after extrusion process was investigated using uniaxial tensile tests. Results suggest that the Mg-xY alloys are composed ofα-Mg with a little amount of Mg24Y5 phase. The average grain size reduces from 19.8μm to 12.2μm as the Y content adds from 1 wt%to 2 wt%.Nevertheless, when Y content reaches 3 wt%,the grain size reaches to 12.9μm,which is close to that of Mg-2Y.The strain hardening rate decreases from 883 MPa to 798 MPa at(σ-σ0.2)=40 MPa,and Mg-2Y and Mg-3Y have the similar strain hardening response.Moreover,Mg-1Y shows an obvious ascending stage after the steep decreasing stage, which is mainly caused by the activation of twinning. The strain hardening behavior of Mg-xY is explained based on understanding the roles of the deformation mechanisms via deformation microstructure analysis and Visco-Plastic Self Consistent(VPSC)model. The variation of strain hardening characteristics with increasing Y content is related to the effects of grain size and texture. | Chaoyue Zhao Ziyan Li Jiahui Shi Xianhua Chen Teng Tu Zhu Luo Renju Cheng Andrej Atrens Fusheng Pan | 2019 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2019,7,4: | 6
Path-following interior point algorithms for the Cartesian P_*(κ)-LCP over symmetric cones显示文摘In this paper, we establish a theoretical framework of path-following interior point al- gorithms for the linear complementarity problems over symmetric cones (SCLCP) with the Cartesian P*(κ)-property, a weaker condition than the monotonicity. Based on the Nesterov-Todd, xy and yx directions employed as commutative search directions for semidefinite programming, we extend the variants of the short-, semilong-, and long-step path-following algorithms for symmetric conic linear programming proposed by Schmieta and Alizadeh to the Cartesian P*(κ)-SCLCP, and particularly show the global convergence and the iteration complexities of the proposed algorithms. | LUO ZiYan XIU NaiHua | 2009 | Science China Mathematics2009,52,8: | 5
Suppress voltage decay of lithium-rich materials by coating layers with different crystalline states显示文摘Li-rich oxides are considered as the most commercial potential cathode materials due to the high theoretical specific discharge capacity. Here, ZrO_(2) in different crystalline states are applied as the coating layers to enhance the electrochemical performance of hollow Li[Li_(0.2)Mn_(0.54)Ni_(0.13)Co_(0.13)]O_(2) materials.Meanwhile, a series of characterizations(XRD, SEM, TEM, EDX etc.) are conducted to compare the effects of ZrO_(2) coating layer with different crystalline states on the host material. The results elucidate that the Li-rich Mn-based material with the polycrystal ZrO_(2) coating layer has a slight advantage in rate performance, while the host material with the single crystal ZrO_(2)-coating layer has a better cycling performance and effectively suppresses voltage decay with the effect of excellently inhibiting layered to spinel-like phase transition and metal dissolution during charging and discharging process. | Zhiwei Zhou Ziyan Luo Zhenjiang He Junchao Zheng Yunjiao Li Cheng Yan Jing Mao | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,9: | 4
The Role of Frontal and Occipital Cortices in Processing Sustained Visual Attention in Young Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder:A Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Study显示文摘Dear Editor,Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD),characterized by age-inappropriate symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity,is a highly prevalent and heritable childhood-onset neurodevelopmental disorder, with impairing symptoms that persist into adulthood in up to 65%of patients[1].Adults with persistent ADHD symptoms since childhood have been found to have neurocognitive impairments in multiple domains, especially in attention and cognitive control, which significantly contribute to an increased risk of social disability, educational and occupational failure, and other comorbid psychiatric disorders, resulting in significant economic burdens to the affected individuals, their families, andsociety [2, 3]. | Ziyan Wu Yuyang Luo Yu Gao Ying Han Kai Wu Xiaobo Li | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,6: | 2
Lagrangian duality and saddle points for sparse linear programming显示文摘The sparse linear programming(SLP) is a linear programming problem equipped with a sparsity constraint, which is nonconvex, discontinuous and generally NP-hard due to the combinatorial property involved. In this paper, by rewriting the sparsity constraint into a disjunctive form, we present an explicit formula of the Lagrangian dual problem for the SLP, in terms of an unconstrained piecewise-linear convex programming problem which admits a strong duality under bi-dual sparsity consistency. Furthermore, we show a saddle point theorem based on the strong duality and analyze two classes of stationary points for the saddle point problem. At last,we extend these results to SLP with the lower bound zero replaced by a certain negative constant. | Chen Zhao Ziyan Luo Weiyue Li Houduo Qi Naihua Xiu | 2019 | Science China Mathematics2019,62,10: | 1
Structures of signaling complexes of lipid receptors S1PR1 and S1PR5 reveal mechanisms of activation and drug recognition显示文摘Sphingosine-1-phosphate(S1P)is an important bioactive lipid molecule in cell membrane metabolism and binds to G proteincoupled S1P receptors(S1PRs)to regulate embryonic development, physiological homeostasis, and pathogenic processes in various organs.S1PRs are lipid-sensing receptors and are therapeutic targets for drug development, including potential treatment of COVID-19.Herein,we present five cryo-electron microscopy structures of S1PRs bound to diverse drug agonists and the heterotrimeric Gi protein. Our structural and functional assays demonstrate the different binding modes of chemically distinct agonists of S1PRs,reveal the mechanical switch that activates these receptors, and provide a framework for understanding ligand selectivity and G protein coupling. | Yuan Yuan Guowen Jia Chao Wu Wei Wang Lin Cheng Qian Li Ziyan Li Kaidong Luo Shengyong Yang Wei Yan Zhaoming Su Zhenhua Shao | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,12: | 1
Tribological behaviour of fused deposition modelling printed short carbon fibre reinforced nylon composites with surface textures under dry and water lubricated conditions显示文摘Fused deposition modelling(FDM)printed short carbon fibre reinforced nylon(SCFRN)composites were fabricated. The friction and wear behaviour of printed materials were systematically investigated under both dry sliding and water lubricated conditions. The results showed that with short fibre enhancements, the printed SCFRN achieved a lower friction coefficient and higher wear resistance than nylon under all tested conditions.Further, under water lubricated conditions, the printed SCFRN exhibited a low, stable friction coefficient due to the cooling and lubricating effects of water. However, the specific wear rate of the printed specimens could be higher than that obtained under dry sliding conditions, especially when the load was relatively low.The square textured surface was designed and created in the printing process to improve materials’tribological performance. It was found that with the textured surface, the wear resistance of the printed SCFRN was improved under dry sliding conditions, which could be explained by the debris collection or cleaning effect of surface texture. However, such a cleaning effect was less noticeable under lubricated conditions,as the liquid could clean the surface effectively. On the other hand, surface textures could increase the surface area exposed to water, causing surface softening due to the higher water absorption rate.As a result, the samples having surface textures showed higher wear rates under lubricated conditions. The work has provided new insights into designing wear resistant polymer materials using three-dimensional(3D)printing technologies, subjected to different sliding conditions. | Ming LUO Siyu HUANG Ziyan MAN Julie M.CAIRNEY Li CHANG | 2022 | Friction2022,10,12: | 1
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 9 | Capital Account Liberalization and International Corporate Bond Issuance:Transaction-level Evidence from China显示文摘This paper provides transaction-level evidence about the impact of capital account liberalization on firms'bond issuance in the international financial market.Using bond issuance data for firms headquartered in China between 2014 and 2018,we showed that domestic private firms issued more bonds abroad than foreign-invested enterprises afier restrictions were largely relaxed, controlling for possible confounding shocks such as monetary policy, local credit market shocks,US interest rate, carry trade, and global uncertainty shocks measured by the Chicago Board Option Exchange's Volatility Index. We found that domestic firms did not increase the overall volume of bond issuance but just had a higher portion of international bond issuance. We also found that domestic firms with higher tangible asset ratios tended to issue more bonds abroad. Our results suggest that targeted liberalization policy could effectively stimulate firms to issue bonds abroad.Policymakers need to monitor closely firms that issue more bonds abroad and thus have greater exposure to global shocks, incorporate these financial risks into policy design, and safeguard financial stability more effectively. | Xiao Wang Yongwen Luo Ziyan Zhu | 2023 | China & World Economy2023,31,6: | 0
Integrated Rabies Surveillance-Hunan Province,China,2020显示文摘Introduction:The objective of this paper was to assess the epidemiology of rabies in Hunan Province, analyze the associated factors, understand the status of prevention and treatment after rabies exposure, evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and treatment, and provide a scientific basis for formulating effective prevention and control measures. Methods:The surveillance data of rabies in Hunan Province in 2020 were collected and analyzed by descriptive epidemiological method. Results:In 2020,a total of 59 cases of rabies were reported in Hunan Province, with an incidence rate of 0.09/100,000.Overall,42 cases(71.19%)were due to animal bites and 43 cases(72.88%)were of grade III.The proportion of hand and combined injury of hand was the highest(40.68%).A total of 603,261 cases of rabies exposure were reported from the rabies post-exposure prophylaxis(PEP)clinic in Hunan Province.Dogs were the main animal causing injuries, accounting for 74.21%.Only 83,418(13.84%)of the animals had a clear immune history, and a total of 11 dog attacks were reported in Hunan Province. The average immunity rate of dogs in the whole province was 30.98%.In 2020,554 dogs were sampled in the whole province;20 of them were positive for a positivity rate of 3.61%.Conclusions:Rabies in Hunan Province in 2020 had a relatively low prevalence.Failure to treat wounds, immunoglobulin injections, and vaccination after exposure were the main causes of rabies.Therefore,post-exposure management of rabies should be further strengthened to reduce the risk of rabies for high-risk populations. | Hao Yang Shengbao Chen Zhihui Dai Longwei Luo Qianlai Sun Shanlu Zhao Ge Zeng Ziyan Liu Shixiong Hu | 2022 | China CDC weekly2022,4,44: | 0

Transmission Dynamics and Epidemiological Characteristics of the SARS-CoV-2 Delta Variant ― Hunan Province, China, 2021显示文摘Monitoring changes in the epidemiologic features between different severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)variants is key to understanding the evolution of viral fitness in the host population. Here,we analyzed a successfully contained local outbreak of the Delta variant that took place in Hunan,China,in July–August,2021.Detailed data on SARS-CoV-2 infections and their contacts were collected during the outbreak.By leveraging these data,we estimated key epidemiological parameters, including the incubation period, serial interval, and generation time.We constructed a generalized linear mixed-effects model(GLMM)to quantify risk factors for Delta infection and transmission.Between July 28 and August 15,2021,a total of 129 infections and their 2,118 close contacts were identified during the outbreak in Hunan Province. | Kaiwei Luo Yanpeng Wu Yan Wang Ziyan Liu Lan Yi Shanlu Zhao Xuemei Yan Hao Yang Kaiyuan Sun Marco Ajelli Shixiong Hu Hongjie Yu | 2023 | China CDC weekly2023,5,3: | 0
Half thresholding eigenvalue algorithm for semidefinite matrix completion显示文摘The semidefinite matrix completion(SMC) problem is to recover a low-rank positive semidefinite matrix from a small subset of its entries. It is well known but NP-hard in general. We first show that under some cases, SMC problem and S1/2relaxation model share a unique solution. Then we prove that the global optimal solutions of S1/2regularization model are fixed points of a symmetric matrix half thresholding operator. We give an iterative scheme for solving S1/2regularization model and state convergence analysis of the iterative sequence.Through the optimal regularization parameter setting together with truncation techniques, we develop an HTE algorithm for S1/2regularization model, and numerical experiments confirm the efficiency and robustness of the proposed algorithm. | CHEN YongQiang LUO ZiYan XIU NaiHua | 2015 | Science China Mathematics2015,58,9: | 0
Contact pattern, current immune barrier, and pathogen virulence determines the optimal strategy of further vaccination显示文摘Background:The current outbreak of novel coronavirus disease 2019 has caused a seriousdisease burden worldwide.Vaccines are an important factor to sustain the epidemic.Although with a relatively high-vaccination worldwide, the decay of vaccine efficacy andthe arising of new variants lead us to the challenge of maintaining a sufficient immunebarrier to protect the population.Method:A case-contact tracking data in Hunan,China,is used to estimate the contactpattern of cases for scenarios including school, workspace, etc, rather than ordinary susceptible population.Based on the estimated vaccine coverage and efficacy,a multi-groupvaccinated-exposed-presymptomatic-symptomatic-asymptomatic-removed model(VEFIAR)with 8 age groups, with each partitioned into 4 vaccination status groups isdeveloped. The optimal dose-wise vaccinating strategy is optimized based on the currentlyestimated immunity barrier of coverage and efficacy, using the greedy algorithm thatminimizes the cumulative cases, population size of hospitalization and fatality respectivelyin a certain future interval.Parameters of Delta and Omicron variants are used respectivelyin the optimization. Results:The estimated contact matrices of cases showed a concentration on middle ages, and has compatible magnitudes compared to estimations from contact surveys in otherstudies. The VEFIAR model is numerically stable. The optimal controled vaccination strategy requires immediate vaccination on the un-vaccinated high-contact population of age30e39 to reduce the cumulative cases, and is stable with different basic reproductionnumbers(R_(0)).As for minimizing hospitalization and fatality, the optimized strategy requires vaccination on the un-vaccinated of both aged 30e39 of high contact frequencyand the vulnerable older. Conclusion:The objective of reducing transmission requires vaccination in age groups ofthe highest contact frequency, with more priority for un-vaccinated than un-fully or fullyvaccinated. The objective of reducing total hospitalization and fatality requires not only toreduce transmission but also to protect the vulnerable older. The priority changes byvaccination progress. For any region,if the local contact pattern is available, then with thevaccination coverage, efficacy, and disease characteristics of relative risks in heterogeneouspopulations, the optimal dose-wise vaccinating process will be obtained and gives hintsfor decision-making. | Xiaohao Guo Ziyan Liu Shiting Yang Zeyu Zhao Yichao Guo Guzainuer Abudurusuli Shanlu Zhao Ge Zeng Shixiong Hu Kaiwei Luo Tianmu Chen | 2023 | Infectious Disease Modelling2023,8,1: | 0
