| 1 | Carboniferous Post-collisional Rift Volcanism of the Tianshan Mountains, Northwestern China显示文摘The Tianshan Carboniferous post-collisional rift volcanic rocks occur in northwestern China as a large igneous province. Based on petrogeochemical data, the Tianshan Carboniferous post-collisional rift basic lavas can be classified into two major magma types: (1) the low-Ti/Y type situated in the eastern-central Tianshan area, which exhibits low Ti/Y (<500), Ce/Yb (<15) and SiO2 (43-55%), and relatively high Fe2O3T (6.4-11.5%); (2) the high-Ti/Y type situated in the western Tianshan area, which has high Ti/Y (>500), Ce/Yb (>11) and SiO2 (49-55%), and relatively low Fe2O3T (5.8-7.8%). Elemental data suggest that chemical variations of the low-Ti/Y and high-Ti/Y lavas cannot be explained by fractional crystallization from a common parental magma. The Tianshan Carboniferous basic lavas originated most likely from an OIB-like asthenospheric mantle source (87Sr/86Sr(t) ≈ 0.703-0.705, εNd(t) ≈ +4 to +7). The crustal contamination and continental lithospheric mantle have also contributed significantly to the formation of the basic lavas of the Tianshan Carboniferous post-collisional rift. The silicic lavas were probably generated by partial melting of the crust. The data of this study show that spatial petrogeochemical variations exist in the Carboniferous post-collisional rift volcanics province in the Tianshan region. Occurrence of the thickest volcanics dominated by tholeiitic lavas may imply that the center of the mantle-melting anomaly (mantle plume) was in the eastern Tianshan area at that time. | 4 | Mid—Late Neoproterozoic rift-related volcanic rocks in China:Geological records of rifting and break-up of Rodinia显示文摘Early Cambrian and Mid-Late Neoproterozoic volcanic rocks in China are widespread on several Precambrian continental blocks,which had aggregated to form part of the Rodinia supercontinent by ca.900 Ma.On the basis of petrogeochemical data,the basic lavas can be classified into two major magma types:HT(Ti/Y>500) and LT(Ti/Y<500) that can be further divided into HT1 (Nb/La>0.85) and HT2(Nb/La≤0.85),and LT1(Nb/La>0.85) and LT2(Nb/La≤0.85) subtypes, respectively.The geochemical variation of the HT2 and LT2 lavas can be accounted for by lithospheric contamination of asthenosphere-(or plume-) derived magmas,whereas the parental magmas of the HT1 and LT1 lavas did not undergo,during their ascent,pronounced lithospheric contamination.These volcanics exhibit at least three characteristics:(1) most have a compositional bimodality;(2) they were formed in an intracontinental rift setting;and(3) they are genetically linked with mantle plumes or a mantle surperplume.This rift-related volcanism at end of the MidNeoproterozoic and Early Cambrian coincided temporally with the separation between AustraliaEast Antarctica,South China and Laurentia and between Australia and Tarim,respectively. | 5 | Relationships between Basic and Silicic Magmatism in Continental Rift Settings:A Petrogeochemical Study of Carboniferous Post-collisional Rift Silicic Volcanics in Tianshan,NW China显示文摘Petrogeochemical data are reported for silicic volcanic rocks from the Tianshan Carboniferous rift, with the aim of discussing the petrogenesis of silicic magmas. Incompatible element vs. incompatible element diagrams display smooth positive trends for the Tianshan Carboniferous rift-related volcanic rocks; the isotope ratios of the silicic lavas [87Sr/86Sr(t)=0.69988–0.70532; εNd(t)=4.76–8.00; 206Pb/204Pb(t)=17.435–18.017; 207Pb/204Pb(t)=15.438–15.509; 208Pb/204Pb(t) = 37.075–37.723] encompass those of the basic lavas. These data suggest a genetic link between rhyolites and basalts, but are not definitive in establishing whether silicic rocks are related to basalts through fractional crystallization or partial melting. Geochemical modeling of incompatible vs. compatible elements excludes the possibility that silicic melts are generated by the melting of basaltic rocks, and indicates a derivation by fractional crystallization plus moderate assimilation of wall rocks (AFC) starting from intermediate rocks to silicic rocks. Continuous AFC from basalt to rhyolite, with small rates of crustal assimilation, best explains the geochemical data. The presence or absence of bimodal volcanism (the “Daly Gap”) might be related to cooling rates of magma chambers. In central and eastern Tianshan, the crust was thinner and the cooling rates of the magma chamber within the crust were greater. | 8 | Geology and geochemistry of the Bingdaban ophiolitic mélange in the boundary fault zone on the northern Central Tianshan Belt,and its tectonic implications显示文摘The properties and tectonic significance of the fault bound zone on the northern margin of the Central Tianshan belt are key issues to understand the tectonic framework and evolutionary history of the Tianshan Orogenic Belt. Based on the geological and geochemical studies in the Tianshan orogenic belt, it is suggested that the ophiolitic slices found in the Bingdaban area represent the remaining oceanic crust of the Early Paleozoic ocean between the Hazakstan and Zhungaer blocks. Mainly com-posed of basalts, gabbros and diabases, the ophiolites were overthrust onto the boundary fault be-tween the Northern Tianshan and Central Tianshan belts. The major element geochemistry is charac-terized by high TiO2 (1.50%-2.25%) and MgO (6.64%-9.35%), low K2O (0.06%-0.41%) and P2O5 (0.1%-0.2%), and Na2O>K2O as well. Low ΣREE and depletion in LREE indicate that the original magma was derived from a depleted mantle source. Compared with a primitive mantle, the geochemistry of the basalts from the Bingdaban area is featureded by depletion in Th, U, Nb, La, Ce and Pr, and unfrac-tionated in HFS elements. The ratios of Zr/Nb, Nb/La, Hf/Ta, Th/Yb and Hf/Th are similar to those of the typical N-MORB. It can be interpreted that the basalts in the Bingdaban area were derived from a de-pleted mantle source, and formed in a matured mid-oceanic ridge setting during the matured evolu-tionary stage of the Northern Tianshan ocean. In comparison with the basalts, the diabases from the Bingdaban area show higher contents of Al2O3, ∑REE and HFS elements as well as unfractionated incompatible elements except Cs, Rb and Ba, and about 10 times the values of the primitive mantle. Thus, the diabases are thought to be derived from a primitive mantle and similar to the typical E-MORB. The diabases also have slight Nb depletion accompanying no apparent Th enrichment compared with N-MORB. | 10 | Numerical simulation of flow and heat transfer of continous cast steel slab under traveling magnetic field显示文摘A unified numerical model for simulating solidification transport phenomena (STP) of steel slab in electromagnetic continuous casting (EMCC) process was developed. In order to solve the multi-physics fields coupled problem conveniently, the complicated bidirectional coupled process between EM and STP was simplified as a unidirectional one, and a FEM/FVM-combined numerical simulation technique was adopted. The traveling magnetic fields (TMFs) applied to the EMCC process were calculated using the ANSYS11.0 software, and then the EM-data output by ANSYS were converted to FVM-format using a data-format conversion program developed previously. Thereafter, the governing equations were solved using a pressure-based Direct-SIMPLE algorithm. The simulation results of the STP in CC-process show that, due to the influences of Lorentz force and Joule heat, the two strong circulating flows and the temperature field can be obviously damped and changed once TMF with one pair of poles (1-POPs) or 2-POPs is applied, which would accordingly improve the quality of casting. It was found in the present research that the integrated actions of 2-POPs TMF are superior to 1-POPs. | 12 | Geochemistry, geochronology and Hf isotope of granitoids in the Chinese Altai: Implications for Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘The Chinese Altai in northwestern Xinjiang has numerous outcrops of granitoids which provide critical information on accretionary orogenic processes and crustal growth of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt.Zircon U-Pb ages, Hf-isotopic compositions and whole-rock geochemistry of monzogranite and granodiorites in the Qinghe County are employed to elucidate Paleozoic tectonics of the Chinese Altai. Granodiorites have crystallization ages of 424.6 ± 3.1 Ma(MSWD = 0.23) and 404.0 ± 3.4 Ma(MSWD = 0.18);monzogranite was emplaced in the early Permian with a crystallization age of 293.7 ± 4.6 Ma(MSWD = 1.06). Both granodiorites and monzogranite are I-type granites with A/CNK ratios of 0.92 -0.97 and 1.03 -1.06, respectively. They also show similar geochemical features of high HREE and Y contents, low Sr contents and Sr/Y ratios, as well as enrichment of Cs, Rb, Th and U, and depletion of Nb, Ta, P and Ti.These geochemical features indicate that the monzogranite and granodiorites were formed in an arc setting related to subduction. The gneissic monzogranites display high SiO_2 and K_2 O contents, and belong to the high-K calc-alkaline series. In the chondrite normalized REE distribution pattern, the monzogranite samples exhibit enrichment of LREE with strong negative Eu anomalies(σE u =0.44 -0.53), zircon εHf(t) values from +7.24 to +12.63 and two-stage Hf model ages of 463 -740 Ma. This suggests that the monzogranite was generated from the mixing of pelitic and mantle material. The granodiorite samples are calc-alkaline granites with lower contents of Si O_2 and Na_2 O + K_2 O, higher contents of TiO_2, Fe_2O_3~t, MgO and CaO compared to the monzogranite samples. They also show enrichment of LREE and moderate negative Eu anomalies(σE u= 0.54 =0.81), as well as slightly higher differentiation of LREE than that of HREE. The425 Ma granodiorite has zircon εHf(t) values from -0.51 to +1.98 and two-stage Hf model ages of 1133 -1240 Ma, whereas the 404 Ma granodiorite displays those of +2.52 to +7.50 and 816 -1071 Ma.Geochemistry and zircon Hf isotopic compositions indicate that granodiorites were formed by partial melting of juvenile lower crust. | 14 | Overpressure distribution and pressuring mechanism on the southern margin of the Junggar Basin, Northwestern China显示文摘On the basis of the pressure data ob- tained from the southern margin of the Junggar Basin, Northwestern China, the distribution and evolution of overpressures in high permeable sandy and in low-permeability shale formations are characterized. The evolution of overpressures in various structural processes, especially in erosion and mechanical de- formation, is quantified by numerical modeling stud- ies. The modeling results show that anomalies of high pressure observed in boreholes are likely a combination of several effects, i.e. 1) the compaction caused by overloading, 2) the compaction caused by lateral tectonic stressing, 3) lateral transmission of hydraulic pressure associated with fold formation, and 4) vertical hydraulic connection caused by opening faults crossing formations with different initial excessive pressures. | 15 | CUMS and dexamethasone induce depression- like phenotypes in mice by differentially altering gut microbiota and triggering macroglia activation显示文摘Background Although the link between gut microbiota and depression has been suggested,changes of gut microbiota vary largely among individuals with depression.Aims Explore the heterogeneity of microbiota-gut-brain axis and new pathogenic characteristics in murine models of depression.Methods Adolescent female mice were randomly divided into control(CON)group(n=10),chronic unexpected mild stress(CUMS)group(n=15)and dexamethasone(DEX)group(n=15).Mice in the DEX group were gavaged twice a day with 0.2 mg/kg of DEX for 5 weeks,whereas CON mice were given the same amount of solvent.Mice in the CUMS group were exposed to stressors.After behavioural evaluations,all mice were sacrificed for harvesting tissues and blood samples.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was conducted for measuring levels of corticosterone(CORT)and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)in sera,whereas levels of protein expression in colon and hippocampal tissues were examined by western blot.Faecal microbial communities were analysed by sequencing 16S rDNAs.Results Mice in CUMS and DEX groups exhibited severe depression-like behaviours.Compared with CON mice,CUMS-exposed mice showed a significant increase in bothαandβdiversity.Prevotellaceae and Desulfovibrio were enriched,whereas Bacilli were decreased in the faeces of mice in the CUMS group.DEX-treated mice had a decrease in the abundance of Clostridium XVIII.Levels of occludin in colon tissue of DEX-treated mice were reduced.Relative to mice in the CON and CUMS groups,DEX-treated mice contained higher serum levels of CORT and IL-1β.Compared with CON mice,mice in the DEX and CUMS groups had higher levels of IL-1βin sera and lower levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP),Nestin,Synapsin-1 and P2Y12 receptor in the hippocampus.Conclusions Changes of gut microbiota diversity,intestinal integrity and neuroinflammation in the brain contribute to CUMS-induced depression,whereas pathobionts and excessive immunosuppression with damaged neuronal synapses is a basis of the DEX-induced depression. | Jing Wu Jinhang Li Chhetri Gaurav Usman Muhammad Yantian Chen Xueyi Li Jinghong Chen Zejian Wang | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,6: | 2 |
| 16 | Highly conductive and robust composite anion exchange membranes by incorporating quaternized MIL-101(Cr)显示文摘With well-defined channels and tunable functionality, metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have inspired the design of a new class of ion-conductive compounds. In contrast to the extensive studies on protonconductive MOFs and related membranes attractive for fuel cells, rare reports focus on MOFs in preparation of anion exchange membranes. In this study, chloromethylated MIL-101(Cr) was prepared and incorporated into chloromethylated poly(ether ether ketone)(PEEK) as a multifunctional filler to prepare imidazolium PEEK/imidazolium MIL-101(Cr)(Im PEEK/Im MIL-101(Cr)) anion exchange membrane after synchronous quaternization. The successful synthesis and chloromethylation of MIL-101(Cr) were verified by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy while the enhanced performance of composite membranes in hydroxide conductivity, mechanical strength and dimensional stability were evaluated by alternating-current impedance, electronic stretching machine and measurement of swelling ratio. Specifically, incorporating 5.0 wt% Im MIL-101(Cr)afforded a 71.4% increase in hydroxide conductivity at 20 °C, 100% RH. Besides, the composite membranes exhibited enhanced dimensional stability and mechanical strength due to the rigid framework of Im MIL-101(Cr). Independent Component Analysis (ICA), a multivariable statistical analysis technique, can be seen as an extension of traditional Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique, which addresses high order statistics as well as second order statistics. In this paper, a new scheme of subspace-based representation called Discriminant Independent Component Analysis (DICA) is proposed, which combines the strength of unsupervised learning of ICA and supervised learning of Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), and efficiently enhances the generalization ability of ICA-based representation method. Based on DICA subspace analysis, a set of optimal vectors called 'discriminant independent faces' are learned from face samples. The effectiveness of our method is demonstrated by performance comparisons with some popular methods such as ICA, PCA, and PCA+LDA.
