2A Survey on Terahertz Communications显示文摘With the exponential growth of the data traffic in wireless communication systems, terahertz(THz) frequency band is envisioned as a promising candidate to support ultra-broadband for future beyond fifth generation(5G), bridging the gap between millimeter wave(mmWave) and optical frequency ranges. The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive literature review on the development towards THz communications and presents some key technologies faced in THz wireless communication systems. Firstly, despite the substantial hardware problems that have to be developed in terms of the THz solid state superheterodyne receiver, high speed THz modulators and THz antennas, the practical THz channel model and the efficient THz beamforming are also described to compensate for the severe path attenuation. Moreover, two different kinds of lab-level THz communication systems are introduced minutely, named a solid state THz communication system and a spatial direct modulation THz communication system, respectively. The solid state THz system converts intermediate frequency(IF) modulated signal to THz frequency while the direct modulation THz system allows the high power THz sources to input for approving the relatively long distance communications. 3Exosomal miRNA profiling before and after surgery revealed potential diagnostic and prognostic markers for lung adenocarcinoma显示文摘Exosome is a crucial manner for cancer cell to cell communication and circulating exosomes sever as promising diagnostic and prognostic markers for various types of diseases.A predominant type of cargo of exosome is small RNAs,especially miRNAs.Here,we profiled plasma exosomal miRNAs of six lung adenocarcinoma patients before and after surgery,as well as six healthy individuals as normal control.Our profiling revealed 38 upregulated and 37 downregulated exosomal miRNAs in the plasma of lung adenocarcinoma patients.Additionally,we found that most upregulated miRNAs were increased in the lung adenocarcinoma samples of TCGA database.We further evaluated the correlation between the upregulated exosomal miRNAs and overall survival with Kaplan-Meier survival analysis using online databases.Our resu ltS suggested that exosomal miR-151a-5p,miR-10b-5p,miR-192-5p,miR-106b-3p,and miR-484 are potential prognostic markers for lung adenocarcinoma.Importantly,we validated candidate miRNAs in lung adenocarcinoma patients before and after surgery as well as in healthy controls and found that miR-484 was significantly increased in the plasma of lung adenocarcinoma patients and strikingly decreased post-surgery.Hence,we provided novel information on lung adenocarcinoma-derived exosomal miRNA and potential non-invasive diagnostic and prognostic markers for lung adenocarcinoma.Xinying Xue Chen Wang Zhiqiang Xue Jiaxin Wen Jun Han Xidong Ma Xuelei Zang Hui Deng Rui Guo Idorenyin Polycarp Asuquo Chong Qin Haijiao Wang Quansheng Gao Sanhong Liu Jianxin Wang 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,3:6
4Towards Intelligent Reflecting Surface Empowered 6G Terahertz Communications: A Survey显示文摘Terahertz(THz)communications have been widely envisioned as a promising enabler to provide adequate bandwidth and achieve ultra-high data rates for sixth generation(6G)wireless networks.In order to mitigate blockage vulnerability caused by serious propagation attenuation and poor diffraction of THz waves,an intelligent reflecting surface(IRS),which manipulates the propagation of incident electromagnetic waves in a programmable manner by adjusting the phase shifts of passive reflecting elements,is proposed to create smart radio environments,improve spectrum efficiency and enhance coverage capability.Firstly,some prospective application scenarios driven by the IRS empowered THz communications are introduced,including wireless mobile communications,secure communications,unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)scenario,mobile edge computing(MEC)scenario and THz localization scenario.Then,we discuss the enabling technologies employed by the IRS empowered THz system,involving hardware design,channel estimation,capacity optimization,beam control,resource allocation and robustness design.Moreover,the arising challenges and open problems encountered in the future IRS empowered THz communications are also highlighted.Concretely,these emerging problems possibly originate from channel modeling,new material exploration,experimental IRS testbeds and intensive deployment.Ultimately,the combination of THz communications and IRS is capable of accelerating the development of 6G wireless networks.Zhi Chen Xinying Ma Chong Han Qiye Wen 2021China Communications2021,18,5:4

7Effects of brachial plexus injury anastomosis simulation on biomechanical properties of adult brachial plexus显示文摘BACKGROUND:Previous studies of peripheral nerve mechanical properties in animals have utilized one-dimensional drawing methods. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the effects of brachial plexus injury anastomosis simulation on biomechanical properties of adult brachial plexus by observing tensile mechanical properties,stress relaxation,and creep deformation of the brachial plexus in normal human cadavers and brachial plexus from simulated brachial plexus injury anastomosis samples. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The in vitro experiment was performed at the Mechanics Experimental Center,Jilin University,China from April to May 2007. MATERIALS:A total of six adult,male cadavers,who had died from acute trauma,and were aged 20-29 years,were supplied by the Research Room of Anatomy,Medical Department,Jilin University,China. AG-10TA Universal Material Testing Machine (Shimadzu,Japan) was used in this study. METHODS:A total of 36 samples of fresh brachial plexus were collected from the cadavers,comprising 12 C5 nerve roots,12 C6 nerve roots at the left and right sides of the superior truck,and 12 C7 nerve roots at the middle truck. The C5 and C6 nerve roots were processed into 50 samples and the C7 nerve roots into 24 samples. A total of 36 C5 and C6 nerve root samples were randomly assigned to a non-surgery control group (n = 18) and brachial plexus injury anastomosis simulation group (n = 18). Brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis samples underwent an incision in the middle,and then received anastomosis. Samples in both groups underwent a tension test at 5 mm/min on the AG-10TA universal material testing machine. A total of 24 sam-ples from the C6 superior trunk and C7 middle trunk of the brachial plexus were subjected to stress relaxation and creep tests. Test duration was 7 200 seconds. A total of 100 data points were collected and analyzed using a normalization method. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The following parameters were measured:tension maximum displacement,maximum load,maximum stress,maximum strain and stress-strain curve,stress relaxation at 7 200 seconds,creep deformation at 7 200 seconds,stress relaxation,and creep curve in the non-surgery control group and brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis group. RESULTS:The tension maximum load of brachial plexus was (140.36 ± 30.50) N,maximum stress was (10.67 ± 2.52) MPa,maximum displacement was (7.78 ± 1.48) mm,and maximum strain was (31.64 ± 5.32)% in the non-surgery control group. The tension maximum load of brachial plexus was (93.23 ± 20.65) N,maximum stress was (7.09 ± 1.57) MPa,maximum displacement was (6.13 ± 0.86) mm,and maximum strain was (24.55 ± 3.45)% in the brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis group. The above-mentioned indices were greater in the non-surgery control group than in the brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis group (P < 0.01). Stress relaxation at 7 200 seconds was 2.07 MPa and 2.11 MPa,respectively,in the non-surgery control and brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis groups. Creep deformation at 7 200 seconds was 4.68% and 3.52%,respectively,in the non-surgery control and brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis groups. 8MIR205HG facilitates carcinogenesis of lung squamous cell carcinoma in vitro revealed by long noncoding RNA profiling显示文摘As a subtype of non-small-cell lung cancer,lung squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC)accounts for one-fifth of all lung cancers.Unfortunately,no specific targetable aberration has yet been identified.Hence,it is of huge urgency and potential to identify aberrantly regulated genes in LUSC.Here,five pairs of LUSC samples and their corresponding adjacent tissues were subject to whole transcriptome sequencing.Our results showed that CTD-2562J17.6 and FENDRR were significantly downregulated while MIR205HG,LNC_000378,RP11-116G8.5,RP3-523K23.2,and RP5_968D22.1 were significantly upregulated in all five LUSC samples.Importantly,MIR205HG was upregulated in LUSC clinical samples as well as in LUSC cell lines.Interestingly,our results demonstrated that the expression level of MIR205HG is positively correlated with the malignancy.In addition,MIR205HG is required for LUSC cell growth and cell migration.Most importantly,our results showed that MIR205HG prohibits LUSC apoptosis via regulating Bcl-2 and Bax.Taken together,our data shed lights on the IncRNA regulatory nexus that controls the carcinogenesis of LUSC and provided potential novel diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for LUSC.Yan Chang Xinying Xue Chunsun Li Wei Zhao Yongfu Ma Fei Xu Zhen Wu Yu Dai Yunjing Li Yang Liu Liang’an Chen 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,4:1

13Kushan Period rice in the Amu Darya Basin:Evidence for prehistoric exchange along the southern Himalaya显示文摘The origins and prehistoric spread of rice agriculture between East and West Asia are hot topics in the current archaeological community.In this study,we present the results from a preliminary archaeobotanical study at the Khalchayan site in Uzbekistan,where we recovered the oldest securely dated rice thus far identified in Central Asia.We directly dated the rice grains to 1714–1756 cal yr BP(Kushan period),and morphologically compared them with other contemporaneous cultivated rice remains from China and India.The morphological results showed that the rice remains found at Khalchayan are more similar to cultivated japonica rice from southern China and northwestern India.Integrated archeological and chronological results from the surrounding area show that the rice remains found at Khalchayan likely spread along a southern Himalayan route from southwest China to northern India and finally reached the Amu Darya.The rice remains from Khalchayan are the first directly dated and well-reported rice remains found in Central Asia.By the Islamic period,rice was an important culinary aspect of the culture in Central Asia,but the cultural affinity towards rice only developed over the past two millennia.This study provides new information on the spread of rice agriculture globally,especially in arid-semiarid inland regions.Guanhan CHEN Xinying ZHOU Jianxin WANG Jian MA Mutalibjon KHASANNOV Nasibillo KHASANOV Robert NSPENGLER Amridin BERDIMURODOV Xiaoqiang LI 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,6:1
14Analysis and Study on the Change of the Observed Geo-electric Field Data at Lhasa Geomagnetic Station before and after the Nepal MS8.1 Earthquake显示文摘In this paper,the main purpose is to analyze and research the characteristics of the geoelectric field observed data with a long time span and large amplitude abnormal change,at the Lhasa geomagnetic station( hereafter referred to as 'Lhasa station '),before and after the Nepal M_S8. 1 strong earthquake,which occurred on April 25,2015. Based on the observation conditions,the observation system,and the observed data of Lhasa station preliminary discussed,the main characteristics of the abnormal change and evolution process are analyzed and studied,using the following two methods; the 'synthesis energy accumulation'and the 'power as MSA spectrum'analysis,from the two aspects of the'Time Domain'and'Frequency Domain. 'The results show that the abnormal change of the geo-electric field observation of Lhasa station experienced a development stage following the process of 'trend change- disturbance change- earthquake period-recovery period',and an evolution process of 'low frequency change- high frequency change- smooth change- high frequency change ',before and after the Nepal M_S8. 1strong earthquake. Comprehensive analysis shows that the variation characteristics and evolution process of the geo-electric field at Lhasa station are basically consistent with the results of the relevant mechanism and phenomenon research. 15Middle Holocene hunting-gathering culture and environmental background of the steppe area of northern China显示文摘For a long time,the academic community has known very little about hunter-gatherers in the steppe area of northern China in the mid-Holocene.This article reports on the Ula Usu West site in Siziwangqi Banner,Inner Mongolia,including basic information about the site,animal bones,lithic artifacts and the environmental background.The age of the site is 4.8–4.4 cal.kyr BP,placing it in the Late Neolithic period.Considering integrated evidence from flotation,zooarchaeology,ZooMS analysis and lithic artifacts,the preliminary inference is that the population lived in a hunting-gathering economy.They used lithic tools represented by arrowheads to hunt mainly Antilopinae animals(e.g.,Procapra gutturosa).Pollen analysis suggests that the climate was relatively humid,providing advantageous living conditions for the population.The climate evidence is consistent with a warm event at approximately 4.7 kyr BP.A dry-cold event(4.5–4.0 kyr BP)and the gradual expansion of agriculture and breeding might have resulted in the final decline of the population.This article provides new materials for research on the“last”hunter-gatherers in the steppe area of northern China.Jiacheng MA Xinying ZHOU Shixia YANG Huiyun RAO Jiaoyang LI Songmei HU Yimin YANG Xiaoqiang LI 2022Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,7:0

18Isotope implications of groundwater recharge,residence time and hydrogeochemical evolution of the Longdong Loess Basin,Northwest China显示文摘Groundwater plays a dominant role in the eco-environmental protection of arid and semi-arid regions.Understanding the sources and mechanisms of groundwater recharge,the interactions between groundwater and surface water and the hydrogeochemical evolution and transport processes of groundwater in the Longdong Loess Basin,Northwest China,is of importance for water resources management in this ecologically sensitive area.In this study,71 groundwater samples(mainly distributed at the Dongzhi Tableland and along the Malian River)and 8 surface water samples from the Malian River were collected,and analysis of the aquifer system and hydrological conditions,together with hydrogeochemical and isotopic techniques were used to investigate groundwater sources,residence time and their associated recharge processes.Results show that the middle and lower reaches of the Malian River receive water mainly from groundwater discharge on both sides of valley,while the source of the Malian River mainly comes from local precipitation.Groundwater of the Dongzhi Tableland is of a HCO3-Ca-Na type with low salinity.The reverse hydrogeochemical simulation suggests that the dissolution of carbonate minerals and cation exchange between Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+)and Na+are the main water-rock interactions in the groundwater system of the Dongzhi Tableland.Theδ^(18)O(from-11.70‰to-8.52‰)andδ2H(from-86.15‰to-65.75‰)values of groundwater are lower than the annual weighted average value of precipitation but closer to summer-autumn precipitation and soil water in the unsaturated zone,suggesting that possible recharge comes from the summer-autumn monsoonal heavy precipitation in the recent past(≤220 a).The corrected 14C ages of groundwater range from 3,000 to 25,000 a old,indicating that groundwater was mainly from precipitation during the humid and cold Late Pleistocene and Holocene periods.Groundwater flows deeper from the groundwater table and from the center to the east,south and west of the Dongzhi Tableland with estimated migration rate of 1.29-1.43 m/a.The oldest groundwater in the Quaternary Loess Aquifer in the Dongzhi Tableland is approximately 32,000 a old with poor renewability.Based on theδ^(18)O temperature indicator of groundwater,we speculate that temperature of the Last Glacial Maximum in the Longdong Loess Basin was 2.4℃-6.0℃ colder than the present.The results could provide us the valuable information on groundwater recharge and evolution under thick loess layer,which would be significative for the scientific water resources management in semi-arid regions.LING Xinying MA Jinzhu CHEN Peiyuan LIU Changjie Juske HORITA 2022Journal of Arid Land2022,14,1:0
19Improving Gravity Anomalies Over China Marginal Sea from Retracked Geosat and ERS-1 Data显示文摘The quality of altimeter data and ocean tide model is critical to the recovery of coastal gravity anomalies. In this contribution, three retracking methods (threshold, improved threshold and Beta-5) are investigated with the aim of improving the altimeter data over a shallow water area. Comparison indicates that the improved threshold is the best retracking method over China Sea. Two ocean tide models, NAO99b and CSR4.0, are analyzed. Results show that different tide models used in the processing of altimeter data may result in differences more than 10 mGal in recovered coastal gravity anomalies. Also, NAO99b is more suitable than CSR4.0 over the shallow water area of China Sea. Finally, gravity anomalies over China Sea are calculated from retracked Geosat/GM and ERS-1/GM data by least squares collocation. Comparison with shipborne gravimetry data demonstrates that gravity anomalies from retracked data are significantly superior to those from non-retracked data.
