2Intelligent Wireless Communications Enabled by Cognitive Radio and Machine Learning显示文摘The ability to intelligently utilize resources to meet the need of growing diversity in services and user behavior marks the future of wireless communication systems. Intelligent wireless communications aims at enabling the system to perceive and assess the available resources, to autonomously learn to adapt to the perceived wireless environment, and to reconfigure its operating mode to maximize the utility of the available resources. The perception capability and reconfigurability are the essential features of cognitive radio while modern machine learning techniques project great potential in system adaptation. In this paper, we discuss the development of the cognitive radio technology and machine learning techniques and emphasize their roles in improving spectrum and energy utility of wireless communication systems. We describe the state-of-the-art of relevant techniques, covering spectrum sensing and access approaches and powerful machine learning algorithms that enable spectrum and energy-efficient communications in dynamic wireless environments. 3Combined remediation of DDT congeners and cadmium in soil by Sphingobacterium sp.D-6 and Sedum alfredii Hance显示文摘Combined pollution of 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-bis (4-chlorophenyl) ethane (DDT) and cadmium (Cd) in agricultural soils is of great concern because they present serious risk to food security and human health.In order to develop a cost-effective and safe method for the removal of DDTs and Cd in soil,combined remediation of DDTs and Cd in soil by Sphingobacterium sp.D-6 and the hyperaccumulator,Sedum alfredii Hance was investigated.After treatment for 210 days,the degradation half-lives of DDTs in soils treated by strain D-6 decreased by 8.1% to 68.0% compared with those in the controls.The inoculation of strain D-6 into soil decreased the uptake of DDTs by pak choi and S.alfredii.The shoots/roots ratios of S.alfredii for the Cd accumulation ranged from 12.32 to 21.75.The Cd concentration in soil decreased to 65.8%-71.8% for S.alfredii treatment and 14.1%-58.2% for S.alfredii and strain D-6 combined treatment,respectively,compared with that in the control.The population size of the DDTs-degrading strain,Simpson index (1/D) and soil respiratory rate decreased in the early stage of treatment and then gradually increased,ultimately recovering to or exceeding the initial level.The results indicated that synchronous incorporation of strain D-6 and S.alfredii into soil was found to significantly (p 0.05) enhance the degradation of DDTs in soil and the hyperaccumulation of Cd in S.alfredii.It was concluded that strain D-6 and S.alfredii could be used successfully to control DDTs and Cd in contaminated soil.Hua Fang Wei Zhou Zhengya Cao Feifan Tang Dandan Wang Kailin Liu Xiangwei Wu Xiao'e Yang Yongge Sun Yunlong Yu 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,6:5

5Atmospheric Ducting Effect in Wireless Communications:Challenges and Opportunities显示文摘Atmospheric ducting has a significant impact on electromagnetic wave propagation.Radio signals that are trapped and guided by the atmospheric duct can travel a much longer distance over the horizon with lower attenuation since the signal power does not spread isotropically through the atmosphere.Atmospheric ducting brings both challenges and opportunities to wireless communications.On one hand,the signals propagating in the atmospheric duct may interfere with a receiver far away as remote co-channel interference.On the other hand,a point-to-point link can be established directly through the atmospheric duct to enable beyond line-of-sight communications.In this article,the formation of the atmospheric duct and its effects on radio wave propagation are first overviewed.Then solutions and standardization activities in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)to mitigate atmospheric duct induced remote interference are presented.Finally,the applications and design challenges of atmospheric duct enabled beyond line-of-sight communications are reviewed and future research directions are suggested.Fangfang Liu Jiaxi Pan Xiangwei Zhou Geoffrey Ye Li 2021Journal of Communications and Information Networks2021,6,2:2

8A Secure Mutual Authentication Scheme of Blockchain-Based in WBANs显示文摘Wireless Body Area Networks(WBANs)refer to small sensor network that consists of sensor devices mounted on the surface of the body or implanted in the body,as such networks are employed to harvest physiological data of the human body or to act as an assistant regulator of several specific physiological indicators of the human body.The sensor devices transmit the harvested human physiological data to the local node via a public channel.Before transmitting data,the sensor device and the local node should perform mutual authentication and key agreement.It is proposed in this paper a secure mutual authentication scheme of blockchain-based in WBANs.To analyze the security of this scheme,formal security analysis,and informal security analysis are used,then the computation and communication costs are compared with those of the relevant schemes.Relevant experimental results reveal that the proposed scheme exhibit more effective control over energy consumption and promising.Jianbo Xu Xiangwei Meng Wei Liang Hongbo Zhou Kuan-Ching Li 2020China Communications2020,17,9:1

14Charge transport and quantum confinement in MoS2 dual-gated transistors显示文摘Semiconductive two dimensional(2D)materials have attracted significant research attention due to their rich band structures and promising potential for next-generation electrical devices.In this work,we investigate the MoS2 field-effect transistors(FETs)with a dual-gated(DG)architecture,which consists of symmetrical thickness for back gate(BG)and top gate(TG)dielectric.The thickness-dependent charge transport in our DG-MoS2 device is revealed by a four-terminal electrical measurement which excludes the contact influence,and the TCAD simulation is also applied to explain the experimental data.Our results indicate that the impact of quantum confinement effect plays an important role in the charge transport in the MoS2 channel,as it confines charge carriers in the center of the channel,which reduces the scattering and boosts the mobility compared to the single gating case.Furthermore,temperature-dependent transfer curves reveal that multi-layer MoS2 DG-FET is in the phonon-limited transport regime,while single layer MoS2 shows typical Coulomb impurity limited regime.Fuyou Liao Hongjuan Wang Xiaojiao Guo Zhongxun Guo Ling Tong Antoine Riaud Yaochen Sheng Lin Chen Qingqing Sun Peng Zhou David Wei Zhang Yang Chai Xiangwei Jiang Yan Liu Wenzhong Bao 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,7:0
15Antioxidant procyanidin B2 protects oocytes against cryoinjuries via mitochondria regulated cortical tension显示文摘Background:Irreversible cryodamage caused by oocyte vitrification limited its wild application in female fertility preservation.Antioxidants were always used to antagonist the oxidative stress caused by vitrification.However,the comprehensive mechanism underlying the protective role of antioxidants has not been studied.Procyanidin B2(PCB2)is a potent natural antioxidant and its functions in response to vitrification are still unknown.In this study,the effects of PCB2 on vitrified-thawed oocytes and subsequent embryo development were explored,and the mechanisms underlying the protective role of PCB2 were systematically elucidated.Results:Vitrification induced a marked decline in oocyte quality,while PCB2 could improve oocyte viability and further development after parthenogenetic activation.A subsequent study indicated that PCB2 effectively attenuated vitrification-induced oxidative stress,rescued mitochondrial dysfunction,and improved cell viability.Moreover,PCB2 also acts as a cortical tension regulator apart from strong antioxidant properties.Increased cortical tension caused by PCB2 would maintain normal spindle morphology and promote migration,ensure correct meiosis progression and finally reduce the aneuploidy rate in vitrified oocytes.Further study reveals that ATP biosynthesis plays a crucial role in cortical tension regulation,and PCB2 effectively increased the cortical tension through the electron transfer chain pathway.Additionally,PCB2 would elevate the cortical tension in embryo cells at morula and blastocyst stages and further improve blastocyst quality.What's more,targeted metabolomics shows that PCB2 has a beneficial effect on blastocyst formation by mediating saccharides and amino acids metabolism.Conclusions:Antioxidant PCB2 exhibits multi-protective roles in response to vitrification stimuli through mitochondria-mediated cortical tension regulation.Qingrui Zhuan Jun Li Xingzhu Du Luyao Zhang Lin Meng Yuwen Luo Dan Zhou Hongyu Liu Pengcheng Wan Yunpeng Hou Xiangwei Fu 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1:0
16An efficient method for the sanitary vitrification of bovine oocytes in straws显示文摘Background:At present,vitrification has been widely applied to humans,mice and farm animals.To improve the efficiency of vitrification in straw,bovine oocytes were used to test a new two-step vitrification method in this study.Results:When in vitro matured oocytes were exposed to 20%ethylene glycol(EG20) for 5 min and 40%ethylene glycol(EG40) for 30 s,followed by treatment with 30%glycerol(Gly30),Gly40 or Gly50,a volume expansion was observed in Gly30 and Gly40 but not Gly50.This indicates that the intracellular osmotic pressure after a 30 s differs between EG40 and ranged between Gly40(approximately 5.6 mol/L) and Gly50(approximately 7.0 mol/L).Since oocytes are in EG40 just for only a short period of time(30 s) and at a lower temperature(4℃),we hypothesize that the main function of this step in to induce dehydration.Based on these results,we omitted the EG40 step,before oocytes were pretreated in EG20 for 5 min,exposed to pre-cooled(4℃) Gly50,for 30 s,and then dipped into liquid nitrogen.After warming,81.1%of the oocytes survived,and the surviving oocytes developed into cleavage stage embryos(63.5%) or blastocysts(20.0%) after parthenogenetic activation.Conclusions:These results demonstrate that in a two-step vitrification procedure,the permeability effect in the second step is not necessary.It is possible that the second step is only required to provide adequate osmotic pressure to condense the intracellular concentration of CPAs to a level required for successful vitrification.Yanhua Zhou Xiangwei Fu Guangbin Zhou Baoyu Jia Yi Fang Yunpeng Hou Shien Zhu 2014Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2014,5,4:0
17Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 18Inhibition of anaerobic probiotics on colorectal cancer cells using intestinal microfluidic systems显示文摘Intestinal flora play an important role in human's immune system. Many bacteria adhere to the wall of the testinal wall. These Intestinal flora help digestion, and also stop their disease-causing counterparts from invading. Most of the current researches focused on the interaction between cells and the construction of organs, but few researches studied on the role of microorganisms and cells. Here, we developed an in vitro living cell systems to simulate the structure, absorption, transport and pathophysiological characteristics of the human intestinal tract and the key microbial symbiosis. The co-culture of Clostridium butyricum(C.butyricum) and colon cancer cells showed a different immune effect. C. butyricum could inhibit the proliferation of HCT116 cells, cause cell cycle arrest and promote apoptosis. But it had no significant effect on Caco-2 cells. Thus, basic functional characteristics of the gut were successfully simulated in a controlled microfluidic system. 20PRODUCT IMAGE RETRIEVAL BASED ON CO-FEATURES OF THE OBJECT显示文摘In this paper, we propose a product image retrieval method based on the object contour corners, image texture and color. The product image mainly highlights the object and its background is very simple. According to these characteristics, we represent the object using its contour, and detect the corners of contour to reduce the number of pixels. Every corner is described using its approximate curvature based on distance. In addition, the Block Difference of Inverse Probabilities (BDIP) and Block Variation of Local Correlation (BVLC) texture features and color moment are extracted from image's HIS color space. Finally, dynamic time warping method is used to match features with different length. In order to demonstrate the effect of the proposed method, we carry out experiments in Mi-crosoft product image database, and compare it with other feature descriptors.
