1The linkage maps of Dendrobium species based on RAPD and SRAP markers显示文摘Dendrobium plants are used commonly as tonic herbs and health food in many Asian countries,especially in China.Here we report the genetic map construction of two Dendrobium species with a double pseudo-testcross strategy using random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD) and sequence-related amplified polymorphism(SRAP) markers.A F1 mapping population of 90 individuals was developed from a cross between D.officinale and D.hercoglossum.A total of 307 markers,including 209 RAPD and 98 SRAP,were identified and used for genetic linkage group(LG) analysis.The D.officinale linkage map consisted of 11 major linkage groups and 3 doublets,which covered 629.4 cM by a total of 62 markers with an average locus distance of 11.2 cM between two adjacent markers.The D.hercoglossum linkage map contained 112 markers mapped on 15 major and 4 minor linkage groups,spanning a total length of 1,304.6 cM with an average distance of 11.6 cM between two adjacent markers.The maps constructed in this study covered 92.7% and 82.7% of the D.hercoglossum and D.officinale genomes respectively,providing an important basis for the mapping of horticultural and medicinal traits and for the application of marker-assisted selection in Dendrobium breeding program.Dawei Xue Shangguo Feng Hongyan Zhao Hua Jiang Bo Shen Nongnong Shi Jiangjie Lu Junjun Liu Huizhong Wang 2010Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,3:26

3Human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy in patients with COVID-19:a phase 1 clinical trial显示文摘No effective drug treatments are available for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Host-directed therapies targeting the underlying aberrant immune responses leading to pulmonary tissue damage,death,or long-term functional disability in survivors require clinical evaluation.We performed a parallel assigned controlled,non-randomized,phase 1 clinical trial to evaluate the safety of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(UC-MSCs)infusions in the treatment of patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 pulmonary disease.The study enrolled 18 hospitalized patients with COVID-19(n=9 for each group).The treatment group received three cycles of intravenous infusion of UC-MSCs(3×107 cells per infusion)on days 0,3,and 6.Both groups received standard COVID-treatment regimens.Adverse events,duration of clinical symptoms,laboratory parameters,length of hospitalization,serial chest computed tomography(CT)images,the PaO2/FiO2 ratio,dynamics of cytokines,and IgG and IgM anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were analyzed.No serious UC-MSCs infusion-associated adverse events were observed.Two patients receiving UC-MSCs developed transient facial flushing and fever,and one patient developed transient hypoxia at 12 h post UC-MSCs transfusion.Mechanical ventilation was required in one patient in the treatment group compared with four in the control group.All patients recovered and were discharged.Our data show that intravenous UC-MSCs infusion in patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 is safe and well tolerated.Phase 2/3 randomized,controlled,double-blinded trials with long-term follow-up are needed to evaluate the therapeutic use of UC-MSCs to reduce deaths and improve long-term treatment outcomes in patients with serious COVID-19.Fanping Meng Ruonan Xu Siyu Wang Zhe Xu Chao Zhang Yuanyuan Li Tao Yang Lei Shi Junliang Fu Tianjun Jiang Lei Huang Peng Zhao Xin Yuan Xing Fan Ji-Yuan Zhang Jinwen Song Dawei Zhang Yanmei Jiao Limin Liu Chunbao Zhou Markus Maeurer Alimuddin Zumla Ming Shi Fu-Sheng Wang 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:16
4Major accident analysis and prevention of coal mines in China from the year of 1949 to 2009显示文摘From the year of 1949 to the present, the China national coal output has been increasing quickly and became first in the world in 2009. But at the same time, major coal mining accidents still exist nowadays. In order to review the overall situation and provide information on major accidents of coal mines in China, we investigated 26 major coal mining accidents in China between the years of 1949 and 2009 through statistical methods, each of which led to more than 100 fatalities. Statistical characteristics about accident-related factors such as time, death toll, accident reasons, characters and nature of enterprise were analyzed. And some special conclusions have been achieved. For example, although we have made great progress, the safety situation in China coal mining industry is still serious, and the reasons for the mining accidents are all human errors which are not inevitable. Such results may be helpful to prevent major accidents in coal mines. Moreso, based on both the knowledge of other countries which have good safety situation nowadays and the safety management situation of China, we made suggestion on safety management of China coal mining. 5Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 6The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 7The long rather than the short allele of 5-HTTLPR predisposes Han Chinese to anxiety and reduced connectivity between prefrontal cortex and amygdala显示文摘The short allele of the serotonin-transporter gene is associated with higher risk for anxiety and depression in Caucasians, but this association is still unclear in Asians. Here, we addressed this issue using behavioral and multi-modal MRI approaches in a large group of healthy Han Chinese participants (n = 233). In contrast to findings in Caucasians, we found that long-allele (L) carriers had higher anxiety scores. In another group (n = 64) experiencing significant levels of depression or anxiety, the L-allele frequency was also significantly higher. In healthy participants, L-carriers had reduced functional and anatomical connectivity between the amygdala and prefrontal cortex (PFC), which was correlated with anxiety or depression scores. Our findings demonstrated that in Chinese Han participants, in contrast to Caucasians, the L-allele confers vulnerability to anxiety or depression and weakens top-down emotional control between the PFC and amygdala. 10Comparison of lymph node number and prognosis in gastric cancer patients with perigastric lymph nodes retrieved by surgeons and pathologists显示文摘Objective: To compare the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes and prognosis in gastric cancer patients whose perigastric lymph node retrieval was performed by surgeons and pathologists.Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of clinical and follow-up data from 1,056 patients who underwent gastric cancer D2 radical lymph node resection between January 2008 and December 2010 in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Department of Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital.The follow-up ended in December 2015.Patients were divided into two groups according to the specialty of physicians who performed the postoperative perigastric lymph node retrieval: the surgeon group(475 cases) and the pathologist group(581 cases).The numbers of positive and total perigastric lymph nodes and the 3- and 5-year survival were compared between gastric cancer patients in the two groups overall and stratified by TNM stage(AJCC 7th Edition).Results: Overall, the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes were significantly higher in the surgeon group than in the pathologist group(6.53±4.07 vs.4.09±3.70, P=0.021; 29.64±11.50 vs.20.71±8.56, P<0.001).Further analysis showed that the total number of lymph nodes in stage Ⅰ patients(19.40±9.62 vs.15.45±8.59, P=0.011) and the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes in stage Ⅱ(1.38±1.08 vs.0.87±1.55, P=0.031; 25.35±10.80 vs.16.75±8.56, P<0.001) and stage Ⅲ patients(8.11±6.91 vs.6.66±5.12, P=0.026; 32.34±12.55 vs.25.45±8.31, P<0.001)were significantly higher in the surgeon group than in the pathologist group.The survival analysis showed that the3- and 5-year survival of stage Ⅱ and Ⅲ patients was significantly higher in the surgeon group than in the pathologist group(82.0% vs.73.1%, 69.5% vs.61.2%, P=0.038; 49.2% vs.38.9%, 36.3% vs.28.0%; P=0.045).Conclusions: Compared with retrieval performed by pathologists, postoperative perigastric lymph node retrieval performed by surgeons was associated with significant increase in the total lymph node number of stage Ⅰ patients, the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes of stage Ⅱ and Ⅲ patients, and the survival of stage Ⅱ and stage Ⅲ gastric cancer patients.Lixin Jiang Zengwu Yao Yifei Zhang Jinchen Hu Dawei Zhao Huiyuan Zhai Xixun Wang Zhenbin Zhang Dong Wang 2016Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2016,28,5:5
11n-Hexadecane and pyrene biodegradation and metabolization by Rhodococcus sp. T1 isolated from oil contaminated soil显示文摘The high-molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) pyrene and typical long chain alkane nhexadecane are both difficult to degrade. In this study, n-hexadecane and pyrene degrading strain Rhodococcus sp. T1 was isolated from oil contaminated soil. Strain T1 could remove 90.81% n-hexadecane(2 vol%) and 42.79% pyrene(200 mg·L^(-1)) as a single carbon within 5 days, respectively. Comparatively, the degradation of pyrene increased to 60.63%, but the degradation of n-hexadecane decreased to 87.55% when these compounds were mixed. Additionally, identification and analysis of degradation metabolites of Rhodococcus sp. T1 in the above experiments showed that there were significant changes in alanine, methylamine, citric acid and heptadecanoic acid between sole and dual substrate degradation. The optimal conditions for degradation were then determined based on analysis of the pH, salinity, additional nutrient sources and liquid surface activity.Under the optimal conditions of pH 7.0, 35 °C, 0.5% NaCl, 5 mg·L^(-1) of yeast extract and 90 mg·L^(-1) of surfactant,the degradation increased in single or dual carbon sources. To our knowledge, this is the first study to discuss metabolite changes in Rhodococcus sp. 12Levels and distribution of polychlorinated biphenyls in the atmosphere close to Chinese Great Wall Station, Antarctica: Results from XAD-resin passive air sampling显示文摘Antarctica is an important research region for assessing persistence and long-range atmospheric transport (LRAT) of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). In this study, XAD-resin passive air sampling was conducted near the Chinese Great Wall Station, Antarctica, during a one-year sampling period in 2009-2010. The air concentrations of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were at a very low level, with total PCBs in the range of 26.74-45.08 pg m 3. PCB profiles were dominated by tetra-PCBs, tri-PCBs and di-PCBs, indicating LRAT was responsible for the pollutants in the Antarctic atmosphere. The sampling site near the Chinese Great Wall Station did not show higher PCB levels than the other sites, suggesting that PCB sources associated with the Great Wall Station were negligible. PCB-11 is a non-Aroclor congener, which has specific sources compared to other Aroclor PCB congeners. PCB-11 was observed in all air samples, with an average concentration of 1.22 pg m 3. 13Ultrathin MXene-aramid nanofiber electromagnetic interference shielding films with tactile sensing ability withstanding harsh temperatures显示文摘Ultrathin and flexible electromagnetic shielding materials hold great potential in civil and military applications.Despite tremendous research efforts,the development of advanced shielding materials is still needed to provide additional functionalities for various artificial-intelligence-driven systems,such as tactile sensing ability.Herein,a layering design strategy is proposed to fabricate ultrathin Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene-aramid nanofiber(MA)films by a layer-by-layer assembling process.Compared to that of randomly mixed films,the designed MA films exhibited a higher EMI shielding efficiency at an ultrathin thickness of 9 pm,which increased from 26.4 to 40.7 dB,owing to the additional multiple-interface scattering mechanism.Importantly,the novel MA films displayed strong EMI shielding ability even after heating/cooling treatments within a wide temperature range of-196 to 300℃.Moreover,the same material displayed a tensile strength of 124.1±2.7 MPa and a toughness of 6.3±1.1 MJ·m^(-3),which are approximately 9.1 times and 45 times higher than those of pure MXene films,respectively.The MA film is also capable of detecting tactile signals via the triboelectric effect.A 2×4 tactile sensor array was developed to achieve an accurate signal catching capability.Therefore,in addition to the shielding performance,the manifestation of tactile perception by the MA films offers exciting opportunities in the fields of soft robotics and human-machine interactions.Dawei Hu Siqi Wang Cheng Zhang Pengshu Yi Pingkai Jiang Xingyi Huang 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:4
14Halide Homogenization for High-Performance Blue Perovskite Electroluminescence显示文摘Metal halide perovskite light-emitting diodes(LEDs)have achieved great progress in recent years.However,bright and spectrally stable blue perovskite LED remains a significant challenge.Three-dimensional mixed-halide perovskites have potential to achieve high brightness electroluminescence,but their emission spectra are unstable as a result of halide phase separation.Here,we reveal that there is already heterogeneous distribution of halides in the as-deposited perovskite films,which can trace back to the nonuniform mixture of halides in the precursors.By simply introducing cationic surfactants to improve the homogeneity of the halides in the precursor solution,we can overcome the phase segregation issue and obtain spectrally stable single-phase blueemitting perovskites.We demonstrate efficient blue perovskite LEDs with high brightness,e.g.,luminous efficacy of 4.7,2.9,and 0.4 lmW^(-1) and luminance of over 37,000,9,300,and 1,300 cdm^(-2) for sky blue,blue,and deep blue with Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage(CIE)coordinates of(0.068,0.268),(0.091,0.165),and(0.129,0.061),respectively,suggesting real promise of perovskites for LED applications.Lu Cheng Chang Yi Yunfang Tong Lin Zhu Gunnar Kusch Xiaoyu Wang Xinjiang Wang Tao Jiang Hao Zhang Ju Zhang Chen Xue Hong Chen Wenjie Xu Dawei Liu Rachel AOliver Richard HFriend Lijun Zhang Nana Wang Wei Huang Jianpu Wang 2020Research2020,,1:4

16Mid-infrared chalcogenide microfiber knot resonators显示文摘A novel type of mid-IR microresonator,the chalcogenide glass(ChG)microfiber knot resonator(MKR),is demonstrated,showing easy fabrication,fiber-compatible features,resonance tunability,and high robustness.ChG micro fibers with typical diameters around 3μm are taper-drawn from As2S3 glass fibers and assembled into MKRs in liquid without surface damage.The measured Q factor of a typical 824μm diameter ChG MKR is about 2.84×104 at the wavelength of 4469.14 nm.The free spectral range(FSR)of the MKR can be tuned from2.0 nm(28.4 GHz)to 9.6 nm(135.9 GHz)by tightening the knot structure in liquid.Benefitting from the high thermal expansion coefficient of As2S3 glass,the MKR exhibits a thermal tuning rate of 110 pm·℃^-1 at the resonance peak.When embedded in polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)film,a 551μm diameter MKR retains a Q factor of 1.1×10^4.The ChG MKRs demonstrated here are highly promising for resonator-based optical technologies and applications in the mid-IR spectral range.YU XIE DAWEI CAI HAO WU JING PAN NING ZHOU CHENGUANG XIN SHAOLIANG YU PAN WANG XIAOSHUN JIANG JIANRONG QIU XIN GUO LIMIN TONG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,4:3
17ASAF: altered spontaneous activity fingerprinting in Alzheimer’s disease based on multisite fMRI显示文摘Several monocentric studies have noted alterations in spontaneous brain activity in Alzheimer's disease (AD), although there is no consensus on the altered amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations in AD patients. The main aim of the present study was to identify a reliable and reproducible abnormal brain activity pattern in AD. The amplitude of local brain activity (AM), which can provide fast mapping of spontaneous brain activity across the whole brain, was evaluated based on multisite rs-fMRI data for 688 subjects (215 normal controls (NCs), 221 amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) 252 AD). Two-sample t-tests were used to detect group differences between AD patients and NCs from the same site. Differences in the AM maps were statistically analyzed via the Stouffer's meta-analysis. Consistent regions of lower spontaneous brain activity in the default mode network and increased activity in the bilateral hippocampus/parahippocampus, thalamus, caudate nucleus, orbital part of the middle frontal gyrus and left fusiform were observed in the AD patients compared with those in NCs. 18A cabazitaxel liposome for increased solubility, enhanced antitumor effect and reduced systemic toxicity显示文摘The potential side effects of cabazitaxel(CBZ)in the field of cancer treatment have become a great limitation to its further clinical application.Liposomal delivery is a well-established approach to increase the therapeutic index of hydrophobic drugs.In this study,a PEGmodified liposome was developed for efficiently encapsulating CBZ,thus enhancing its specific tumor inhibition effect and reducing the systemic toxicity.It was found that the loading efficiency of CBZ into the liposome could be improved with the increase of lipophilic materials,as it could be over 80%under the weight ratio of 20:1(total lipid:CBZ).The diameter of CBZ loaded liposome(CBZ@Lipo)was^100 nm.And the liposome suspending in aqueous medium was stable at 4°C for at least one month,according to the change of its size distribution.The killing ability of CBZ@Lipo to cancer cells was significantly lower comparing to that of CBZ solution,which could be attributed to the slow release of CBZ from the liposomes.However,CBZ@Lipo could induce an obvious apoptosis of the cancer cells at low concentration.Furthermore,CBZ@Lipo exhibited an expressively enhanced tumor growth inhibition effect comparing to CBZ solution.More importantly,CBZ@Lipo showed an obviously higher biosafety proved by lower hemolysis probability,stable body weight of mice during the whole experiment and no obvious lesion in histology analysis.Our work provided a useful reference of the formulation of CBZ,which had potential for greater clinical application.Xiaoyi Yin Lihua Luo Wei Li Jie Yang Chunqi Zhu Mengshi Jiang Bing qin Xiaoling Yuan Hang Yin Yichao Lu Yongzhong Du Dawei Chen Jian You 2019Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2019,14,6:3
19In situ stress state and seismic hazard in the Dayi seismic gap of the Longmenshan thrust belt显示文摘In the Longmenshan thrust belt,the Dayi seismic gap,an area with few earthquakes,is located between the ruptures of the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake and the 2013 Lushan Earthquake,with a length of approximately 40–60 km.To date,however,the extent of the seismic hazard of the Dayi seismic gap and whether this gap is under high stress are still hotly debated.To further evaluate the seismic hazard of the Dayi seismic gap with regard to stress,two boreholes(1,000 and 500 m deep)were arranged to carry out hydraulic fracturing in situ stress measurement on either side of the Shuangshi-Dachuan fault zone.This zone has a high seismic hazard and the capacity to undergo surface rupture.Through the analogy of this new data with stability analysis using Byerlee’s Law and existing stress measurement data collected before strong earthquakes,the results show that the area surrounding the Shuangshi-Dachuan fault zone in the Dayi seismic gap(Dachuan Town)is in a state of high in situ stress,and has the conditions necessary for friction slip,with the potential hazard of moderate to strong earthquakes.Our results are the first to reveal the in situ stress profile at a depth of 1,000 m in the Dayi seismic gap,and provide new data for comprehensive evaluation of the seismic hazard in this seismic gap,which is of great significance to explore the mechanism of earthquake occurrence and to help mitigate future disaster.Bing LI Furen XIE Jinshui HUANG Xiwei XU Qiliang GUO Guangwei ZHANG Junshan XU Jianxin WANG Dawei JIANG Jian WANG Lifeng DING 2022Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,7:3
