| 1 | Isolation and Characterization of Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens L-1 for Biocontrol of Pear Ring Rot显示文摘Considering the heavy losses caused by pear ring rot(Botryosphaeria berengeriana) disease, the potential biocontrol agent against B. berengeriana was isolated and characterized in this work. Bacteria, isolated from pear orchard rhizosphere soil, were screened for the biological control of pear ring rot caused by B. berengeriana. Among them, strain L-1 showed noticeable inhibitory activities against B. berengeriana and six other commonly occurring postharvest pathogens. Molecular methods indicated strain L-1 was Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The potential of strain L-1 as an effective biocontrol agent was further estimated. Results showed strain L-1 could successfully colonize in pear wounds, its colonies reached 142.35 folds on 4 days post inoculation, and maintained at a high level during storage. In addition, strain L-1 caused abnormal hyphae growth of B. berengeriana,and its inhibitory percentage against pear ring rot reached 76.55% in vivo on 11 days post inoculation. Strain L-1 significantly induced the peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT) activities and delayed the accumulation of malondialdehyde(MDA) in pears. What's more, strain L-1 did not impair the fruit quality. | 2 | S-Allylmercaptocysteine improves alcoholic liver disease partly through a direct modulation of insulin receptor signaling显示文摘Alcoholic liver disease(ALD) causes insulin resistance, lipid metabolism dysfunction, and inflammation. We investigated the protective effects and direct regulating target of S-allylmercaptocysteine(SAMC) from aged garlic on liver cell injury. A chronic ethanol-fed ALD in vivo model(the NIAAA model) was used to test the protective functions of SAMC. It was observed that SAMC(300 mg/kg, by gavage method) effectively ameliorated ALD-induced body weight reduction, steatosis,insulin resistance, and inflammation without affecting the health status of the control mice, as demonstrated by histological, biochemical, and molecular biology assays. By using biophysical assays and molecular docking, we demonstrated that SAMC directly targeted insulin receptor(INSR) protein on the cell membrane and then restored downstream IRS-1/AKT/GSK3 b signaling. Liver-specific knock-down in mice and siRNA-mediated knock-down in AML-12 cells of Insr significantly impaired SAMC(250 mmol/L in cells)-mediated protection. Restoration of the IRS-1/AKT signaling partly recovered hepatic injury and further contributed to SAMC’s beneficial effects. Continuous administration of AKT agonist and recombinant IGF-1 in combination with SAMC showed hepato-protection in the mice model.Long-term(90-day) administration of SAMC had no obvious adverse effect on healthy mice. | 3 | Experimental investigations on the fluid flow mechanism in porous media of enhanced oil recovery by alkli/surfactant/polymer flooding显示文摘The fluid flow mechanism in porous media of enhanced oil recovery by Alkli/ Surfactant/ Polymer (ASP) flooding is investigated by measuring production performance, pressure distribution and saturation distribution through installing differential pressure transducers and saturation measuring probes in a physical model of vertical heterogeneous reservoir. The fluid flow variation in porous media is the main reason of enhanced oil recovery of ASP flooding. The pressure field and saturation field are nonlinearly coupled together and the interaction between them results in the fluid flow variation in the reservoir. In a vertical heterogeneous reservoir, the ASP agents initially flow in the high permeability layer, and fluid changes the flow direction toward the low and the middle permeability layers because the resistance in the high permeability layer is increased under the physical and chemical action of adsorption, retention and emulsion. | 12 | Spatial Distribution Characteristic of the b-value in Dabie-Sulu and Its Adjacent Areas显示文摘The Tanlu( Tancheng-Lujiang) fault is one of the major structures in eastern China,which cuts across different blocks and controls the tectonic activity. Using the seismic data from the China Earthquake Networks Center,we investigate the spatial variations of the b-value in the Dabie-Sulu( Jiangsu-Shandong) organic belt by calculating the b-value of each grid( 1°×1°) from 1970 to 2010. The study shows that: the b-value is smaller in the Tanlu fault and its adjacent area,which might suggest that the major earthquake recurrence period is relatively long due to the lower frequency of small earthquake activity. In both sides of Tanlu fault,the b-value is higher at the edge of Sulu block and the eastern part of Dabie orogenic belt. The b values are higher in North China central orogenic belt,and small earthquake activity which occurred along the central orogenic belt is frequent. | 13 | Design and mechanism of agglomeration of aspirin crystals in pure solvents显示文摘Agglomeration with improved flowability for platy crystals is desirable in pharmaceutical downstream processing. The formation of agglomerates in pure solvents without the aid of bridging liquids is a convenient and low-cost method compared with complex spherical crystallization. In this work, the adhesion free energies between aspirin crystals in six solvents were calculated using Lifshitz-van der Waals acid-base theory to screen suitable solvents for agglomeration. The maximum stirring rate for agglomeration was determined by adhesion forces and dispersion forces. Then the agglomerates of plate-shaped aspirin were successfully prepared in acetone, methanol, ethanol, 2-propanol, and ethylene glycol without additives by simple cooling crystallization. The interactions between solvent and crystal surfaces were also used to explain the outcomes. A feasible mechanism for the agglomeration process of platy crystals was elucidated, involving the adhesion of dominant crystal facets at the beginning. The effect of stirring rate, cooling rate, and initial supersaturation on agglomeration degree and particle size of aspirin agglomerates were studied. | 14 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 15 | Association between GABRG2 rs211037 polymorphism and idiopathic generalized epilepsies:a meta-analysis显示文摘Background:We performed this meta-analysis to investigate the association between GABRG2 rs211037polymorphism and the risk for idiopathic generalized epilepsies(IGEs).Methods:Medline,Embase,Cochrane Library and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)databases were searched for eligible studies(until May 5,2020)on the association between GABRG2 rs211037 polymorphism and IGE.The odds ratios were calculated using a fixed or random model in STATA 15.0 software.Subgroup analyses for ethnicity,age,source of controls,type of seizure syndrome and therapeutic responses were conducted.Results:We found no significant associations between GABRG2 rs211037 polymorphism and the susceptibility to IGEs.In addition,no significant association was detected between GABRG2 rs211037 polymorphism and drug resistance in IGE patients.The results did not change after stratification by Asian population,healthy controls,children,juvenile myoclonic epilepsy,and childhood absence epilepsy.Conclusion:The current studies indicated that the GABRG2 rs211037 polymorphism was not related to susceptibility or drug resistance of IGE.Further well-designed studies are needed to verify the results. | Xiaohui Yang Hongyun Ding Hongyun Wei Jia Liu Pingping Liao Yuzhu Zhang Xiaomeng Wang Xiaosa Chi | 2021 | Acta Epileptologica2021,3,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Spatio-temporal Variation of Water Heat Flux Using MODIS Land Surface Temperature Product over Hulun Lake,China During 2001–2018显示文摘Heat flux is important for studying interactions between atmosphere and lake.The heat exchange between air-water interfaces is one of the important ways to govern the temperature of the water surface.Heat exchange between the air-water interfaces and the surrounding environment is completed by solar radiation,conduction,and evaporation,and all these processes mainly occur at the air-water interface.Hulun Lake was the biggest lake which is also an important link and an indispensable part of the water cycle in Northeast China.This study mapped surface energy budget to better understand spatial and temporal variations in Hulun Lake in China from 2001 to 2018.Descriptive statistics were computed to build a historical time series of mean monthly heat flux at daytime and nighttime from June to September during 2001–2018.Remote sensing estimation methods we used was suitable for Hulun Lake(R2=0.81).At month scale,shortwave radiation and latent heat flux were decrease from June to September.However,the maximum sensible heat flux appeared in September.Net longwave radiation was the largest in August.The effective heat budget showed that Hulun Lake gained heat in the frost-free season with highest value in June(686.31 W/m2),and then steadily decreased to September(439.76 W/m2).At annual scale,net longwave radiation,sensible heat flux and latent heat flux all show significant growth trend from 2001 to 2018(P<0.01).Wind speed had the well correlation on sensible heat flux and latent heat flux.Water surface temperature showed the highest coefficient in sensitivity analysis. | ZHAO Boyu DU Jia SONG Kaishan Pierre-Andre JACINTHE XIANG Xiaoyun ZHOU Haohao YANG Zhichao ZHANG Liyan GUO Pingping | 2020 | Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,6: | 0 |
| 17 | Hepatic COX1 loss leads to impaired autophagic flux and exacerbates nonalcoholic steatohepatitis显示文摘The mechanisms underlying autophagic defects in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)remain largely unknown.We aimed to elucidate the roles of hepatic cyclooxygenase 1(COX1)in autophagy and the pathogenesis of diet-induced steatohepatitis in mice.Human nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)liver samples were used to examine the protein expression of COX1 and the level of autophagy.Cox1^(Δhepa)mice and their wildtype littermates were generated and fed with 3 different NASH models.We found that hepatic COX1 expression was increased in patients with NASH and diet induced NASH mice models accompanied by impaired autophagy.COX1 was required for basal autophagy in hepatocytes and liver specific COX1 deletion exacerbated steatohepatitis by inhibiting autophagy.Mechanistically,COX1 directly interacted with WD repeat domain,phosphoinositide interacting 2(WIPI2),which was crucial for autophagosome maturation.Adeno-associated virus(AAV)-mediated rescue of WIPI2 reversed the impaired autophagic flux and improved NASH phenotypes in Cox1^(Δhepa)mice,indicating that COX1 deletion-mediated steatohepatitis was partially dependent on WIPI2-mediated autophagy.In conclusion,we demonstrated a novel role of COX1 in hepatic autophagy that protected against NASH by interacting with WIPI2.Targeting the COX1 WIPI2 axis may be a novel therapeutic strategy for NASH. | Qian Yu Chang Li Qinghui Niu Jigang Wang Zhaodi Che Ke Lei He Ren Boyi Ma Yixing Ren Pingping Luo Zhuming Fan Huan Zhang Zhaohui Liu George L.Tipoe Jia Xiao | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,6: | 0 |
