Flexible and breathable 3D porous SSE/MXene foam towards impact/electromagnetic interference/bacteria multiple protection performance for intelligent wearable devices显示文摘As intelligent wearable devices, they will inevitably be subjected to various damages and disturbances from the external environment during daily use. Therefore,it is urgent to develop safeguarding materials with multiple protective properties.Herein, this work developed a flexible and breathable three-dimensional(3D)porous shear stiffening elastomer(SSE)/MXene(M-SSE)foam with impact/electromagnetic interference(EMI)/bacteria multiple protection performance for intelligent wearable devices. The continuous conductive MXene network in the 3D SSE porous structure made M-SSE foam exhibit excellent electromagnetic interference shielding property with a high shielding effectiveness of 34 dB.Attributed to the shear stiffening effect of porous SSE matrix,M-SSE foam possessed unique anti-impact and protection properties. The energy dissipation rate reached up to more than 85%,illustrating M-SSE foam could effectively attenuate the external impact force and absorb the impact energy.Inherited from the excellent photothermal performance of MXene,M-SSE foam achieved a considerable saturated temperature of 98℃ under 0.57 W/cm^(2) laser power.Therefore,M-SSE foam showed extraordinary antimicrobial property for Staphylococcus aureus according to the principle of photothermal sterilization. Finally, for the development of intelligent wearable devices, conductive MSSE foam could be used as an intelligent sensor to monitor various human movements owing to the highly sensitive property. This work greatly expanded the application prospect of multifunctional protective materials in various complex environments and promoted the development of multifunctional smart wearable devices in protection field. | Min Sang Shuai Liu Jianpeng Wu Xinyi Wang Junshuo Zhang Yunqi Xu Yu Wang Jun Li Ji Li Shouhu Xuan Xinglong Gong | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 1
Event-triggered shared lateral control for safe-maneuver of intelligent vehicles显示文摘With the increasing number of cars, road traffic accidents have caused a lot of losses every year and human factors play an important role in many cases.Applying active safety assistance control or shared control techniques in intelligent vehicles is promising to reduce the number of traffic accidents. In this context, the dynamic optimization of the shared control policy and the smooth transitions of control authority between human drivers and intelligent driving systems are critical issues to be solved.Motivated by this, this paper proposes an event-triggered shared control approach for safe-maneuver of intelligent vehicles with online risk assessment. In the proposed approach,a Bayesian regularized artificial neural network(BRANN)is designed to predict vehicle trajectories and build a quantization function to assess the risk level owing to potential collision events. The shared controller dynamically optimizes the shared control policies between the human and the intelligent driving system via solving a model predictive control(MPC)problem. The predicted driving behaviors in the prediction horizon are pre-computed with a finite-horizon model predictor steering the predicted trajectories contributed by human driving. Moreover, smooth transitions back to human driving mode are realized via adding penalties on the shared control of the intelligent driving system.Three simulation scenarios in the PreScan environment,i.e.,rear-end collision avoidance,lane-keeping and unskilled driving, are studied to test the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The simulation results, including the comparison with a linear quadratic regulator(LQR)-based shared controller, are reported, which show that the proposed approach can timely evaluate dangerous events and realize safe driving in terms of collision avoidance and lane-keeping.Also,the proposed approach outperforms the LQR-based shared controller in terms of smooth transitions. | Yan JIANG Xinglong ZHANG Xin XU Xing ZHOU Zhengzheng DONG | 2021 | Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,7: | 1

A local spectrum enhancement-based method and its application in incipient fault diagnosis of rotating machinery显示文摘Incipient faults of gears and rolling bearings in rotating machineries are very difficult to identify using traditional envelope analysis methods. To address this challenge, this paper proposes an effective local spectrum enhancement‐based diagnostic method that can identify weak fault frequencies in the original complicated raw signals. For this purpose,a traversal frequency band segmentation technique is first proposed for dividing the raw signal into a series of subfrequency bands. Then, the proposed synthetic quantitative index is constructed for selecting the most informative local frequency band(ILFB)containing fault features from the divided subfrequency bands.Furthermore,an improved grasshopper optimization algorithmbased stochastic resonance(SR)system is developed for enhancing weak fault features contained in the selected most ILFB with less computation cost. Finally, the enhanced weak fault frequencies are extracted from the output of the SR system using a common spectrum analysis. Two experiments on a laboratory planetary gearbox and an open bearing data set are used to verify the effectuality of the proposed method. The diagnostic results demonstrate that the proposed method can identify incipient faults of gears and bearings in an effective and accurate manner.Furthermore, the advantages of the proposed method are highlighted by comparison with other methods. | Jiancong Shi Baoming Xu Xinglong Wang Jun Zhang | 2023 | International Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics2023,3,2: | 0
A deep Koopman operator-based modelling approach for long-term prediction of dynamics with pixel-level measurements显示文摘Although previous studies have made some clear leap in learning latent dynamics from high-dimensional representations, the performances in terms of accuracy and inference time of long-term model prediction still need to be improved. In this study,a deep convolutional network based on the Koopman operator(CKNet)is proposed to model non-linear systems with pixel-level measurements for long-term prediction.CKNet adopts an autoencoder network architecture, consisting of an encoder to generate latent states and a linear dynamical model(i.e.,the Koopman operator)which evolves in the latent state space spanned by the encoder. The decoder is used to recover images from latent states.According to a multi-step ahead prediction loss function, the system matrices for approximating the Koopman operator are trained synchronously with the autoencoder in a mini-batch manner. In this manner, gradients can be synchronously transmitted to both the system matrices and the autoencoder to help the encoder self-adaptively tune the latent state space in the training process, and the resulting model is time-invariant in the latent space. Therefore, the proposed CKNet has the advantages of less inference time and high accuracy for long-term prediction.Experiments are per-formed on OpenAI Gym and Mujoco environments, including two and four non-linear forced dynamical systems with continuous action spaces. The experimental results show that CKNet has strong long-term prediction capabilities with sufficient precision. | Yongqian Xiao Zixin Tang Xin Xu Xinglong Zhang Yifei Shi | 2024 | CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2024,9,1: | 0
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 16 | The dynamic compressive properties of magnetorheological plastomers: enhanced magnetic-induced stresses by non-magnetic particles显示文摘In this research, a series of hollow glass powder(HGP) reinforced magnetorheological plastomers(MRPs)were prepared to improve the impact resistance of the materials, and the dynamic compressive properties of MRPs under high strain rate were investigated by using a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)system equipped with a customized magnetic device. Experimental results showed the HGPs greatly enhanced the yield stresses of the MRPs. Especially, for MRPs with 9 vol.% carbonyl iron powders(CIPs), the magnetic-induced yield stress increased from 7.3 MPa to 17.1 MPa(134% increased) by adding 18 vol.%HGPs. The particle structures in MRPs were further simulated and the corresponding intergranular stress was calculated to study the enhancement effect of HGPs. The simulated results showed that more compact structures were formed with the excluded volume caused by secondary HGPs, so the yield stresses of the MRPs increased under a magnetic field. However, when the mass ratio of HGP to CIP was larger than 0.67, HGPs would hinder the formation of chain-like structures and reduce the magneto-mechanical properties. As a result, the replacing of CIPs by HGPs was proven to be an excellent strategy to improve the dynamic properties of MRPs. | Haoming Pang Zhenbang Xu Longjiang Shen Jun Li Junshuo Zhang Zhiyuan Li Shouhu Xuan Xinglong Gong | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,7: | 0
LGNet:Local and global representation learning for fast biomedical image segmentation显示文摘Medical image segmentation plays a crucial role in clinical diagnosis and therapy systems, yet still faces many challenges.Building on convolutional neural networks(CNNs),medical image segmentation has achieved tremendous progress. However, owing to the locality of convolution operations,CNNs have the inherent limitation in learning global context. To address the limitation in building global context relationship from CNNs,we propose LGNet,a semantic segmentation network aiming to learn local and global features for fast and accurate medical image segmentation in this paper.Specifically,we employ a two-branch architecture consisting of convolution layers in one branch to learn local features and transformer layers in the other branch to learn global features.LGNet has two key insights:(1)We bridge two-branch to learn local and global features in an interactive way;(2)we present a novel multi-feature fusion model(MSFFM)to leverage the global contexture information from transformer and the local representational features from convolutions. Our method achieves state-of-the-art trade-off in terms of accuracy and efficiency on several medical image segmentation benchmarks including Synapse,ACDC and MOST.Specifically,LGNet achieves the state-of-the-art performance with Dice's indexes of 80.15%on Synapse,of 91.70%on ACDC,and of 95.56%on MOST.Meanwhile, the inference speed attains at 172 frames per second with 224-224 input resolution. The extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed LGNet for fast and accurate for medical image segmentation. | Guoping Xu Xuan Zhang Wentao Liao Shangbin Chen Xinglong Wu | 2023 | Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2023,16,4: | 0
Static stress analysis of coupling superconducting solenoid coil assembly for muon ionization cooling experiment显示文摘The stresses in the coupling superconducting solenoid coil assembly, which is applied in the Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment (MICE),are critical for the structure design and mechanical stability because of a large diameter and relative high magnetic field. This paper presents an analytical stress solution for the MICE coupling coil assembly. The stress due to winding tension is calculated by assuming the coil package as a set of combined cylinders. The thermal and electromechanical stresses are obtained by solving the partial differential equations of displacement based on the power series expansion method. The analytical stress solution is proved to be feasible by calculating stresses in a tested superconducting solenoid with 2.58 m bore at room temperature. The analytical result of the MICE coupling coil is in good agreement with that of the finite element which shows that the transverse shear stress induced by Lorentz force is principally dominant to magnet instability. | PAN Heng WANG Li WU Hong GUO Xinglong XU Fengyu | 2010 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2010,21,1: | 0
