Effects of High-temperature Char Layer and Pyrolysis Gas on NOx Reduction in a Typical Decoupling Combustion Coal-fired Stove显示文摘The suppression of nitrogen oxides(NO_x) is the key to reducing pollutant emission of a domestic coal-fired stove due to the limitation of technology condition and economic cost. The decoupling combustion(DC) technology invented by Institute of Process Engineering(IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) is characterized by that a traditional stove is separated into a pyrolysis and a combustion chamber as well as a bottom passage between them. In this study, the combustion of briquette from bituminous coal in different operation modes in a typical decoupling stove is tested and simulated to validate the advantage of DC technology over so-called reverse combustion. The smokeless and high-efficiency combustion of bituminous briquette with low emissions of NO_x and CO can be implemented by utilizing low NO_x combustion under low temperature and reduction atmosphere in the pyrolysis chamber as well as after-combustion of char and pyrolysis gas under high temperature and oxidation atmosphere in the combustion chamber. The effects of the main reducing components in pyrolysis gas as well as char on NO_x reduction were numerically investigated in this study, which shows that the reducing ability increases gradually from CH_4, CO to char, but the combined reducing ability of them cannot be determined by a simple addition. | LI Honglin HAN Jian ZHANG Nan LIU Xinhua HE Jingdong DU Wei | 2019 | Journal of Thermal Science2019,28,1: | 8
NORHA,a novel follicular atresia-related lncRNA,promotes porcine granulosa cell apoptosis via the miR-183-96-182 cluster and FoxO1 axis显示文摘Background:Follicular atresia has been shown to be strongly associated with a low follicle utilization rate and female infertility, which are regulated by many factors such as microRNAs(miRNAs),which constitute a class of noncoding RNAs(ncRNAs).However, little is known about long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs),which constitute another ncRNA family that regulate follicular atresia. Results:A total of 77 differentially expressed lncRNAs,including 67 upregulated and 10 downregulated lncRNAs,were identified in early atretic follicles compared to healthy follicles by RNA-Sequencing.We characterized a noncoding RNA that was highly expressed in atretic follicles(NORHA).As an intergenic lncRNA,NORHA was one of the upregulated lncRNAs identified in the atretic follicles. To determine NORHA function,RT-PCR,flow cytometry and western blotting were performed, and the results showed that NORHA was involved in follicular atresia by influencing GC apoptosis with or without oxidative stress. To determine the mechanism of action, bioinformatics analysis, luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation assay were performed, and the results showed that NORHA acted as a‘sponge’,that directly bound to the miR-183-96-182 cluster, and thus prevented its targeted inhibition of FoxO1,a major sensor and effector of oxidative stress. Conclusions:We provide a comprehensive perspective of lncRNA regulation of follicular atresia, and demonstrate that NORHA,a novel lncRNA related to follicular atresia, induces GC apoptosis by influencing the activities of the miR-183-96-182 cluster and FoxO1 axis. | Wang Yao Zengxiang Pan Xing Du Jinbi Zhang Honglin Liu Qifa Li | 2022 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,2: | 2

Topology control of three-dimensional covalent organic frameworks by adjusting steric hindrance effect显示文摘Since the intrinsic topological network determines their pore characteristics and functional applications, it is important to construct 3D COFs with target topology from predesigned functional building blocks. However, when starting from precursors with same connectivity but different bulky groups, the structure and topology of 3D COFs may change, which will greatly increase the complexity of the crystal structure determination. Therefore, it is essential to understand how to control the steric hindrance effects and synthesize 3D COFs with target topology. Herein, we report the topology control of 3D COFs by adjusting steric hindrance effects of functional building blocks. Starting from a quadrilateral building block with sterically hindered phenyl groups, we have been able to achieve the target pts topology instead of the unprecedented ljh network that we reported recently by elongating the tetrahedral building block. This result clearly shows that it is promising to precisely control the topology of 3D COFs by judiciously selecting building blocks with steric hindrance and suitable dimensions. | Yang Xie Meng Liu Honglin Du Bo Gui Junliang Sun Cheng Wang | 2022 | Science China Chemistry2022,65,11: | 0
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 12 | Microfluidic separation of particles by synergistic effect of geometry-induced hydrodynamics and magnetic field显示文摘Microfluidic combined with magnetic field have been demonstrated to be the promising solutions for fast and low-damage particles separation. However, the difficulties in the precise layout of magnets and accurate prediction of particle trajectories lead to under and over separation of target particles.A novel particle separation lab-on-chip(LOC)prototype integrated with microstructures and micropolar arrays is designed and characterized.Meanwhile,a numerical model for the separation of magnetic particles by the synergistic effect of geometry-induced hydrodynamics and magnetic field is constructed. The effect of geometry and magnetic field layout on particle deflection is systematically analyzed to implement accurate prediction of particle trajectories. It is found that the separation efficiency of magnetic particles increased from 50.2%to 91.7%and decreased from 88.6%to 85.7%in the range of depth factors from 15µm to 27µm and width factors from 30µm to 60µm,respectively.In particular, the combined effect of the offset distance of permanent magnets and the distance from the main flow channel exhibits a significant difference from the conventional perception. Finally, the developed LOC prototype was generalized for extension to arbitrary systems. This work provides a new insight and robust method for the microfluidic separation of magnetic particles. | Du Qiao Hongxia Li Weiping Zhu Lili Zhu Danyang Zhao Honglin Li | 2024 | Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2: | 0
A lateral-immobilization zebrafish microfluidic chip-based system for in vivo real-time evaluation of antithrombotic agents显示文摘Thrombosis remains a major global health concern mainly characterized by high rates of morbidity and mortality.Animal models serve as an indispensable tool to understand the underlying pathogenesis of thrombosis and assess the efficacy of novel antithrombotic drugs.Currently, zebrafish has emerged as a valuable model organism for thrombosis research. However, the traditional method of studying zebrafish thrombosis requires a laborious and time-consuming procedure, including anesthesia and manual immobilization of zebrafish. In this study, based on hydrodynamic force,a lateral-immobilization zebrafish microfluidic chip(LIZMC)was designed to evaluate the cardiovascular system of multiple larvae within a single microscope field of view.Specifically, coupling with microscope imaging,real-time monitoring of the peripheral blood circulation in the tail of phenylhydrazine(PHZ)-induced zebrafish thrombosis was enabled.Furthermore, the reliability of LIZMC for in vivo evaluation of antithrombotic agents in zebrafish was verified using aspirin.Collectively, this novel LIZMC-based system can be used for in vivo zebrafish thrombosis studies and rapid screening of antithrombotic agents. | Lijuan He Hongxia Du Yi Yang Zhihua Guan Jinjin Li Honglin Li Xudong Lin Lili Zhu | 2024 | Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,3: | 0
Long noncoding RNA LINC01124 activates hepatocellular carcinoma cell proliferation, migration, and invasion by absorbing microRNA-1247-5p and overexpressing FOXO3显示文摘Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1124(LINC01124)has been identified as an important regulator of non-small-cell lung cancer. However, the expression and detailed role of LINC01124 in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain unestablished to date. Therefore, this study aimed to elucidate the role of LINC01124 in the aggressiveness of HCC cells and identify the underlying regulatory mechanism.Quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction was performed to measure the expression of LINC01124 in HCC.Cell Counting Kit-8 assay,Transwell cell migration and invasion assays, and a xenograft tumor model were used to investigate the function of LINC01124 in HCC cells, and bioinformatics analysis,RNA immunoprecipitation, luciferase reporter assay, and rescue experiments were used to elucidate the underlying mechanisms.Herein,LINC01124 overexpression was confirmed in HCC tissues as well as cell lines.Further, the downregulation of LINC01124 decreased HCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in vitro, whereas the upregulation of LINC01124 triggered the opposite results.Additionally,LINC01124 ablation impaired tumor growth in vivo.Mechanistic analyses revealed that LINC01124 functions as a competing endogenous RNA to sponge microRNA-1247-5p(miR-1247-5p)in HCC cells. Moreover, forkhead box O3(FOXO3)was identified as a direct target of miR-1247-5p.FOXO3 was positively regulated by LINC01124 in HCC cells through the sequestration of miR-1247-5p.Finally,rescue assays revealed that the inhibition of miR-1247-5p or overexpression of FOXO3 reversed the effects of LINC01124 silencing on the HCC cell malignant phenotype. In summary,LINC01124 plays a tumor-promoting role in HCC by regulating the miR-1247-5p-FOXO3 axis. The LINC01124-miR-1247-5p-FOXO3 pathway may provide a foundation for the identification of alternative therapies for HCC. | LEI SUN YUE ZHANG YUQIN YAO HONGLIN DU YUEHUA ZHANG AIPING FANG | 2021 | Oncology Research2021,29,3: | 0

Structural, compositional and trait differences between the mature and the swamp meadow communities显示文摘Aims The mature meadows(MMs)and the swamp meadows(SMs)are the two most important ecosystems in the eastern Tibetan Plateau,China.Besides their substantial differences in terms of soil water conditions and thereby the soil oxygen and nutrients, however, little is known about the differences in community composition,struc-ture,traits and productivity between these two meadows. We par-ticularly ask whether light availability mediated by physical structure heterogeneity is a key determinant of the difference in community composition and productivity between these two meadows. Methods We examined the community structure, composition, aboveground net primary productivity(ANPP),light availability in understory and the community-weighted means(CWMs)for leaf morphological and physiological traits in 12 random plots(5 m×5 m)for each of the studied habitats.Important findings The results showed that plant community in the MM had higher variation in both vertical and horizontal structure and thus had more light availability in the understory. The MM had higher spe-cies richness and greater ANPP than the SM.The CWMs of leaf morphological and physiological traits for species in the MM fea-tured a fast-growing strategy(i.e.higher height, leaf area and net photosynthesis rate and lower nitrogen:phosphorus ratio),in con-trast to those in the SM.We also found that there were significant correlations between the CWM of traits and the ANPP,indicating that some key traits in these habitats have linked to community productivity. Our study also suggests that the heterogeneity in the community structure, which affects light availability in the under-story,may play an important role in determining the community composition and productivity. In conclusion, our study revealed significant differences in community structure, composition and traits between the MM and the SM,and the light availability that related closely to community structure is the key factor to deter-mine the composition and productivity of the community of these two habitats. | Honglin Li Kailiang Yu Danghui Xu Wei Li Dorjeeh Tondrob Guozhen Du | 2018 | Journal of Plant Ecology2018,11,1: | 0

Tuning effect of silicon substitution on magnetic and high frequency electromagnetic properties of R2Fe17 and their composites显示文摘In this work, we report the tuning effect of the Si substitution on the magnetic and high frequency electromagnetic properties of R2 Fe17 compounds and their paraffin composites. It is found that the introduction of Si can remarkably improve the magnetic and electromagnetic properties of the R2 Fe17 compounds, making the R2 Fe17 exSix-paraffin composites excellent microwave absorption materials(MAMs). By introducing the Si element, their saturation magnetizations decrease slightly, while much higher Curie temperatures are obtained. Furthermore, better impedance match is reached due to the decrease of the high-frequency permittivity ε’ by about 40%e50%, which finally enhances the performance of the microwave absorption. The peak frequency(fRL) of the reflection loss(RL) curve moves toward high frequency domain and the qualified bandwidth(QB, RL≤-10 dB) increases remarkably. The maximum QB of 3.3 GHz(12.0 e15.3 GHz) is obtained for the Sm1.5 Y0.5 Fe15 Si2-paraffin composite(d = 1.0 mm) and the maximum RL of -53.6 dB is achieved for Nd2 Fe15 Si2-paraffin composite(d = 2.2 mm), both surpassing most of the reported MAMs. Additionally, a distinguished dielectric microwave absorption peak is observed, which further increases the QB in these composites. | Wenyun Yang Qiwei Hu Guanyi Qiao Liang Zha Shunquan Liu Jingzhi Han Honglin Du Yan Zhang Yingchang Yang Changsheng Wang | 2019 | Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,10: | 0
