| 1 | Clinical research linking Traditional Chinese Medicine constitution types with diseases:a literature review of 1639 observational studies显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To analyze clinical studies on correlations between Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)body constitution types and diseases published in the past 10 years,and to provide an evidence base to support the use of such correlations for health maintenance and disease prevention.METHODS:We searched five databases for the period April 2009 to December 2019:China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database,PubMed and Embase.Three types of observational studies on correlation between constitution types and diseases were included:cross-sectional,case-control and cohort studies.Descriptive statistical methods were employed for data analysis.RESULTS:A total of 1639 clinical studies were identified:1452(88.59%)cross-sectional studies,115(7.02%)case-control studies and 72(4.39%)cohort studies covering 30 regions of China and five other countries(Malaysia,South Korea,Singapore,Thailand and France).The collection of studies comprised 19 disease categories and 333 different diseases.The 10 most commonly studied diseases were hypertension,diabetes,stroke,coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CAHD),sleep disorders,neoplasm of the breast,dysmenorrhea,fatty liver disease,chronic viral hepatitis B and dyslipidemia.We found high distributions for each biased constitution type in different patient populations as follows:Qi-deficiency constitution in stroke,diabetes,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and hypertension;Yang-deficiency constitution in female infertility,osteoporosis,irritable bowel syndrome,gonarthrosis and dysmenorrhea;Yin-deficiency constitution in hypertension,diabetes,constipation,female climacteric states and osteoporosis;phlegm-dampness constitution in hypertension,stroke,fatty liver disease,diabetes and metabolic syndrome;damp-heat constitution in acne,chronic gastritis,chronic viral hepatitis B,human papillomavirus infection and hyperuricemia;blood-stasis constitution in CAHD,endometriosis and stroke;Qi-stagnation constitution in hyperplasia and neoplasms of the breast,insomnia,depression and thyroid nodules;and inherited-special constitution in asthma and allergic rhinitis.CONCLUSION:Eight biased TCM constitutions were closely related to specific diseases,and could be used to guide individualized prevention and treatment.More rigorously designed studies are recommended to further verify the constitution-disease relationship. | Liang Xue Wang Qi Jiang Zeqiang Li Zhuqing Zhang Mengxing Yang Peiying Wang Xin Wang Yanqiu Qin Yuehua Li Tianxing Zhang Tianyi Wang Yi Sun Jianxiang Li Yusi Luo Hui Li Lingru | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,4: | 29 |

| 4 | Protection of Li metal anode by surface-coating of PVDF thin film to enhance the cycling performance of Li batteries显示文摘Lithium metal, the ideal anode material for next-generation high-energy batteries, suffers from the severe safety problem of Li dendrites. Herein, we report a simple approach to effectively maintain the morphology of Li-metal anode and enhance the cycling performance of Li batteries by surface coating of a porous polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thin film. In symmetrical cells testing, the cells with the Li@PVDF electrode display stable cycling performance more than 1300 h (650 cycles) at the current density of 0.5 mA/cm^2 with a stripping/plating capacity of 0.5 mAh/cm^2. | 16 | Heterogeneity beyond tumor heterogeneity—SULF2 involvement in Wnt/β-catenin signaling activation in a heterogeneous side population of liver cancer cells显示文摘Introduction:Sulfatase 2(SULF2),an endogenous extracellular sulfatase,can remove 6-O-sulfate groups of glucosamine residues from heparan sulfate(HS)chains to modulate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,which plays an important role in both liver carcinogenesis and embryogenesis.Side population(SP)cells are widely identified as stem-like cancer cells and are closely related to carcinoma metastasis,recurrence,and poor patient prognosis.However,the roles of SULF2 in SP cells of hepatomas are unclear,and the underlying mechanism is undefined.Objectives:This study aimed to compare the heterogeneity between SP cells and non-side population(NSP)cells derived from three different liver cancer cell lines and to elucidate the involvement of the SULF2-Wnt/β-catenin axis in liver cancer stem cells(CSCs)and its impact on the processes of carcinogenesis and invasiveness.Methods:In this work,three different liver cancer SP cells(HepG2,Huh7,and PRC/PRL/5)were sorted by flow cytometry.We also examined the migration and invasion behaviors of SP and NSP cells.To determine if this high tumorigenic potential of SP cells is correlated to SULF2,qPCR,western blotting,and immunofluorescence analysis were conducted.We also performed nude mouse xenograft experiments for in vivo analysis.Results:The results from the in vitro colony formation assay showed that SP cells exhibited a 2-fold higher colony formation efficiency compared to their NSP counterparts.The SP cells exhibited significantly higher potentials in terms of their migratory capacity and invasive ability compared to NSP cells.We found that higher expression of SULF2 in SP cells was associated with greater capabilities for clonogenicity,migration,and invasion.It was also linked to higher activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway via stimulation of key downstream factors,particularlyβ-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclin D1.Further,a positive correlation between the upregulated SULF2 expression and tumorigenesis in the in vivo nude mouse xenograft models was demonstrated,highlighting that the potential underlying mechanism was Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway activation.Conclusion:Our findings show that variable SULF2 expression was associated with differential activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,which could lead to behavioral differences between SP and NSP cells and also among the SP cells of the three liver cancer cell lines assessed.It was reasonably concluded that the SULF2-Wnt/β-catenin axis could play an important role in the tumorigenicity of liver cancer stem cells. | DONGYE YANG DONGDONG GUO YUNMEI PENG DONGMENG LIU YANQIU FU FEN SUN LISHI ZHOU JIAQI GUO LAIQING HUANG | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,9: | 0 |
| 17 | Communication Effect of Passengers on Information Diffusion in Metro Emergency显示文摘Information diffusion is significant for emergencymanagement as it can decide the severity of accidents. In this paper, we set up a communication model of passengers for the metroemergency. In the model, four categories of passengers are definedas unknown passengers, supportive passengers, neutral passengers and opposed passengers. Three passengers' characteristics are taken into account, such as spreading desire, the trustworthinessand the passengers' uncertainty about their opinions. From thesimulation results, we can see that the passengers' uncertainty about their opinions has a positive correlation with the time ofpassengers' opinions reaching consensus, while other two factorsboth have a negative correlation. | 18 | Building a Highly Stable Ultrathin Nanoporous Layer Assisted by Glucose for Desalination显示文摘Although nanoporous membranes are of great interest in desalination,it is still challenging to construct highly permeable nanoporous membranes with excellent rejections for an efficient desalination process.In this work,highly permeable nanoporous membranes were built from renewable resources,assisted by the versatile functions of glucose and dopamine,with coupling reactive groups via interfacial reaction with 1,3,5-benzenetricarbonyl trichloride(TMC).The small molecules(0.66 nm)of glucose,which have high hydrophilicity,can diffuse into the membrane for an effective reaction to ensure structural integration.Our novel ultrathin(~44 nm)nanofiltration(NF)membrane exhibits ultra-high Na_(2)SO_(4)flux and excellent rejection of Na_(2)SO_(4)(66.5 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1),97.3%)and MgSO4(63.0 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1),92.1%)under a pressure of 5 bar(1 bar=10^(5)Pa)which is much superior to the performance of natural-product NF membranes.The membrane demonstrates excellent long-term stability,as well as tremendous acid-base and alkali-base stability and high anti-pollution capacity.The designed membrane materials and architecture open a new door to biopolymer-based separation membranes beyond existing membrane materials. | Yanqiu Zhang Fan Yang Hongguang Sun Yongping Bai Songwei Li Lu Shao | 2022 | Engineering2022,,9: | 0 |

| 20 | Influence of slip system combination models on crystal plasticity finite element simulation of NiTi shape memory alloy undergoing uniaxial compression显示文摘The influence of various slip system combination models on crystal plasticity finite element simulation of Ni Ti shape memory alloy subjected to uniaxial compression deformation is investigated according to three combinations of slip systems, including combination of {010}<100>and {110}<111>slip modes, combination of {110}<100>and {110}<111>slip modes and combination of {110}<100>, {010}<100>and {110}<111>slip modes, which consist of 18, 18 and 24 slip systems, respectively. By means of simulating mechanical response,strain distribution, stress distribution and Schmid factor, it can be found that in terms of simulation accuracy,combination of {110}<100>and {110}<111>slip modes is in good agreement with combination of {110}<100>,{010}<100>and {110}<111>slip modes. The contribution of {110}<100>slip mode to plastic strain is primary in plastic deformation of Ni Ti shape memory alloy, whereas {010}<100>slip mode, which makes small contribution to plastic deformation, can be regarded as the unfavorable slip mode.
